    Helpful video. My apartment complex uses this for the parking garage. Had to use this knowledge when my gate clicker stopped working

    DoorKing is not awful. Installers make the decision not to use the random locks they ship with the units in addition to the standard locks. DoorKing has changed the standard locks as well. All entry system manufacturers have a standard key.

      Youre completely correct! Not as catchy of a video title though

    • @no_peace

      As an everyday user of them I think they're awful

    Door king is not awful, in fact it’s very reliable. They are in the access control business not the locksmith business. All you have to do is change the lock. In my experience most of the customers that change the lock end up loosing the key. Anyway, I thought the title of the video was misleading, but then again I get the concept of click bait

      Yea the title is a little click baity I may change it, thanks for the view and comment!

    My buddy lives in a nice condo building with a door king. It’s already easy to get in without the DK with a double door tool thanks to the silly glass double door with a crash bar on the other side. That blew his mind but we also got his DK panel open and didn’t see a switch. Like you said they must have just removed it. But aren’t there wires you need to touch to get it open if that’s the case?

    • @FortyTwoSu42
      @FortyTwoSu42  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea the wires are open! You can just short it with a paper clip or something lol

    Is it possible to lockpick the actual lock of the building door? What kind of locks are these?

    • @FortyTwoSu42
      @FortyTwoSu42  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You could pick them of course, all locks can be picked with enough time and research on the lock. If you want to know more about the doorking core I'd recommend Googling a breakdown of the lock, I'd do it on my channel if I owned a DoorKing panel

    This video is no longer true. No point in keeping it up anymore. There are now about 12 different keys that are used for their locks and good integrators will never keep the old 120 key-way in them for this reason.

    The proper phrase is "For all intents and purpose...."
