@@not_from_the_streetsnah this new style is literally the opposite of what WLR was, this new style is what Post Punk was for Punk, its slower and more groovy wit a lotta ambient sounds and dark vibes, its more introspective than agressive like WLR was, Post Punk uses a lotta bass guitar what brings this groovy vibe just like HBA and BackRooms by Carti, the way he used Adlibs like instruments on WLR and now he barely uses them, he lets the beats speak more just like a solo, he also puts this in his MV when he blackout the screen for few seconds letting us in the dark, what also brings this kinda dark ambient but also how he lets us wondering when he will comeback and stops lying and finally drop the album...

i’d rather him take his time. u can make all the theories u want and people have been doing that in the carti community for years and years, but it’s obviously that he just wants to work on it more. it kinda does make sense he’s taking so long, everything he chooses to release he wants to be perfect or very very good and unique. it’s the same thing with frank ocean, 2 albums every song perfect.
