you know the game is good when the worst thing about it is that you can't replay the missions.
Eh, that's a big thing. Means the only way to replay those missions is to start the whole game over, with all your progress reset. To be fair we could also say "you know the game is good when the worst part is that it's too big". (Referring to Valhalla) but we all know Valhalla wasn't that good.
Lol you only say this because this nobody said it in his video
@@Fluctlightso your saying god of war is bad?
@@T_200 God of war isn't bad, but yes, to put it simple, I think it'd be nice to have the option to replay levels; but at least GoW has New Game+ where you get to keep the gear you earn, so you don't have to lose everything to play the story again.
Assassins creed, where you buy upgrades, better armor, weapons, and even places to support income, should always have the ability to do a new game+ or replay levels. GoW at least has a new game+ option. You can't compare AC with GoW.
@@Fluctlightfrankly for me I hated 2. The movement mechanics were some of the worst in any video game I have ever played. Seriously was Ezio running around with cement shoes?
Black flag was where the tech caught up to the story and game play. Had a great story and had really good mechanics for the sailing. Made you feel like a true scallywag
and the sea shanties, best thing ever man
Noooooo I hated black flag for the fact I couldn’t sail the waters without getting into a fight, I hated that
@@AnimeZone247 wdym, you can sail the waters without getting into a fight
@@22.piyushnaik76 nope everytime I got into the waters the Templar’s was after me and then there was some missions you have to fight boats. Thank god Valhalla don’t have that
@@AnimeZone247 I'm sure your notoriety level was always high. And wtf man, you're playing a pirate game and you don't wanna fight ships? Did you even play the game for 2 hours? 💀
The AC3 Haytham being a templar bamboozle was genius and we all know it.
i agree, also 10 times better character than connor
It was after the 1st run, but it removed a lot of fun in replayability, once you know you’re just playing a temporary character.
@@puchopucho7790nah. Connor was my dude
Yes... best plottwist i came across without being spoiled for me before. I knew something was up.... but not THAT. And it gave the antagonists SO much more of a face, story and motivation... they where not just the "go there and kill X" guys... WE recruited them. Got to know them...

Actual worst part of every game is leaving Animus.
THANK YOU, I hate the Layla Hasan narrative

It's because of this stupid opinion that we lost a good connecting thread of Desmond outside animus between different stories and made the whole franchise a mess convoluted mess where it took them up till Valhalla to circle back to why the fuck everything is happening in the story.

The shadow move that literally makes you invisible:
I'm about 75% sure that invisibility was one of the most disliked things about Syndicate...
I LOVE the stealth in ac Odyssey. Like everyone says “it’s not a true assassins creed game” then PLAY it like an ac game instead of like for honor
@@kingdestroyernumdrejuan6485 ye u r able to play stealthily if u want to
@@kingdestroyernumdrejuan6485 I went stealth and you can tell the game is just not very well suited for it especially with the amount of people you cant even assassinate unless you have good enough gear score like what is this AC or an mmo? Bro just complained about playing as Haytham. 💀
Crazy
I wish I could've stayed as haytham, playing a game as a templar would be cool
@@vody929 Thankfully, we did get AC: Rogue to play as a Templar.
@@Drakrylos true, i just wish it was all haytham, connor was cool but haytham was better imo
Haytham was best part about Assassin's Creed Free.
I don’t think it was bad that we didn’t play as Connor until later Haytham was badass and it gave us a look at the Templars views
It was a good twist villain and made things interesting for the story.
Fr, I actually enjoyed playing as Haytham so when it switched I was dissappointed until I wasn’t because Connor is GASS
And lets face it, conner was the most uninteresting MC in assassins creed history. A bit of timber was more interesting.
When I first played ac3 i was very confused for a bit

Odyssey gets hated on too much 😭
I think Syndicate gets hated for absolutely no reason
Odyssey is too good i playing it and it was masterpeice
I agree! It was certainly different from the traditional AC games, but still fun. The world was HUGE and it was an open world as well (As a map completionist, this is the best thing ever)
There are still a couple things I didn’t like, but I never hated it
@@W2q2ITS AMAZING ❤
Mid game
You know 3 was a masterpiece when the only gripe is "you had to wait to play the main character". My favorite one by far!
And the main character wasn't even THAT good. I enjoyed playing as Connor's father way more than as Connor himself.
Don’t disrespect Chad Haytham Kenway like that he was a saint. Very sad and misunderstood character. I loved the Connor and Haytham duo
Ong, Haytham was perfect, he really makes you question which side is the right side, cuz all the games we’re made to believe templars are the enemy, but haytham really makes you question who the real enemy is
I wish we continued as him for the whole game
But I wanna play as Connor
Yeah I know it's very sad of what happened to them you could tell that haytham did care for Connor despite being a deadbeat I wonder if he ever figured out what Charles did I'd like to see that ending he just murders Charles
@@bxxgeyman8558I reccomend the book. It focuses solely on Haitham starting from his childhood.
Ac 1 is this type of game that you love but you will never replay it again until you will be nostalgic.
They need a remake of AC 1. Altair needs his story retold better
Not me, I love it and replay it every once in a while
@@leoxanxe3420 Good , ac1 deserves more than what I said.
One of worst fucking games I've played. The upgrade from ac1 to ac2 was so great though.
@aryankarimi3698 yeah I agree. I can't even finish the game without getting bored and playing the other ones
I played Odyssey in stealth 95% of the time. Then again, I even play Minecraft as a stealth game. Ubisoft AI does make stealth very difficult since once one person spots you, the entire base knows exactly where you are and enemies spawn almost endlessly, but if you take it slow, can clear out even very large strongholds in complete stealth. Quite satisfying imo
I still learned Italian from Ezio's entire life play through
Requiesta in Pace or so 😂😂 i loved the ezio Collection. As a kid i have build my own hidden Blade out of Metal Scrap and Bandages😂😂 sorry englisch is Not my 1. Language 😅
Nah the real issue with 3 wasn’t the time you spent as Haythem it was the fact that it took like 12 hours before you could actually do whatever and deviate from the main story. You spend closer to 3 hours as haythem and then you spend so long as Connor just learning about everything before you can actually do whatever
Agreed. Haytham’s part was longer than necessary but not bad or annoying, to me at least. But then you play as Connor and it takes far too long just to get the robes. It felt like you only played as a true creed assassin maybe the final half of the game.
Idk I kinda liked the whole build up. Being a kid with no skills then slowly learning how to be an assassin. I wish more AC games went that way.
Instead of just being an aged assassin.
@@MrRight... I felt like it was too forced. The way it was done with Ezio in AC2 was far better
@XABBITZ I get you but with ezio you didn't start off really young like Connor so obviously it wouldn't be as limited and ezio have info pretty much straight away when it came to the AC and many people to train him. I just think it was cool having to actually find someone who would teach you and constantly grow.
But it had to be a little forced because Connor had 1 game, ezio had 3 to grow so it's harder to compare them both. They needed to show you what Connor went thru instead of letting the player happen upon these things a little more like in the ezio trilogy.
This. I want a 30 min story introduction/tutorial and then I want to go straight into collectibles and getting overpowered gear.
I got unity like a year and a half after release. They cleaned up most of the bugs at that point

" Odyssey stealth was non existent '
Me hiding in 1 foot of grass then executing 2 bounty hunters back to back.
Yea it's meant for quick stealth kills before moving to a different area. I get why some people would dislike not being able to stealth out whole forts easily but Ubisoft wanted more faster paced and frequent fights in this game
@@itsJay999 I honestly love odyssey

@@southgalaxydiedforoursins4193 fr now I'm sure that this dude just read a couple of hate posts about ac games on reddit to make this short
You can play stealth, if you specialize in stealth, I shouldn't need to specialize in stealth in an ac game. Also, MAGIC there's too goddamn much
@@southgalaxydiedforoursins4193I played the whole game in stealth. That spear teleport attack was too OP lol
@bob the goblin killer okay but every AC game it's easier to just rush in. It's easier, faster, and more convenient to go open combat, only reason we go stealth is because it's harder/feels more like an Assassin
I dont understand why people hate that Valhalla is so long. Its not like it gets boring. It only gets better. It just has a lot of content. Which i think is a good thing
It does get boring though though. I sat through 120+ hours straight of Elden Ring yet gave up a few hours into Valhalla. The whole game felt like a bunch of side quests stitched together to pad out playtime.
Way too long? That’s the best damn thing
Not really would you wanna move through 1000 of meters of land to go on a fetch quest? if so then sure thats the best thing
Only if it keeps you engaged. Valhalla’s quests just felt too repetitive and a way to drag out playtime. It didn’t actually feel fun to play.
Games can be way too long with well connected quests and storyline. If you just want a bunch of meaningless repetitive and unnecessarily grindy quests then sure. But it still shows the laziness of writers not bothering to make a well written game.
For any other game other than Valhalla or Odyssey.
I would be happy to buy a 50 hour long Game about any AC character that isn’t from one of the newer titles
Playing as Haythem is fucking one of the best parts of assassin's creed
Yeah I'm not going to lie I like Connor more but that's just me but playing at haytham Haytham really made you question which side was the good one because up until that point every single previous game has made you hate the Templars.

Yes it is

after you completed the campaign and captured all forts and get elite ship upgrades life feels empty
It is time to go now
Yeah I’m always disappointed when I pay for a video game and it doesn’t end in 45 minutes. I hate getting my money’s worth.
A long game doesn’t mean a good game, it depends on the story you want to tell. Elden ring is quite long and plays well into that, giving you lots of freedom for gameplay and doesn’t really railroad you much. Titanfall 2’s story is very short (only about 6 hours) yet made each level completely unique from the other for a condensed yet fun experience. AC Valhalla’s missions feel like required side missions with repetitive combat rather than an actually well-written story.
I’ll pay for a short but enjoyable game I’ll replay again and again over 100+ hours of slop I will NEVER replay.
I quitted Valhalla Odyssey and Origins bc they are 1 Rpgs and thats bad 2 only Origins has to do with Assassins Creed and 3 are way to long. I needed more hour to complete one of them then the whole Ezio trilogy
How did all of them missed Haytham at that range😂
I used stealth in Odyssey all the time, it was easy if you knew how to do it, the only problem was the removal of social stealth
Stealth but you cant one shot certain ennemies, making them ring the alarm bell as soon as you tried. Stealth in this game was stupid, no matter how you did it.
@Côte de porc just because you didn't one shot them doesn't mean it wasn't stealth it killed the weaker guys and didn't fully kill the stronger guys you are meant to start with the weaker and get onto the stronger guys
@@cotedeporc5754i never had a problem with stealth in odyssey lol sounds like a skill issue for you
@@ama-terasu i read it perfectly fine and did not like my own comment but thanks for crying about it anyway
@@cotedeporc5754 If you spec'd your skill trees right you could pretty much still one shot anything. You might have to change the exact way you went about it but, I remember taking out full bases loaded with like 20-30 enemies without ever raising an alarm. It was like sorting out a puzzle had to fit all the pieces just right to do it. Hella fun when challenging.
I actually enjoyed the tower defense in ACR. Shame they didn't do more on that
I did too actually. Love a good well thought out defense coming together.
I loved it, but I literally did one. Idk how people called it a tower defense game. I just never let anyone invade ig lol
Absolutely, I even tried to replay it but could not. It was way too easy to just control everything how could they attavk
@Seyi (Shay) Akinnusotu Agreed, and hookblade should have been only made for Ezio from Leonardo, because of old age.
Ac one was supposed to be on gamecube/ps2/xbox as a prince of persia game, but they moved it to next gwn because the previous tech couldn't handle the crowd sizes they wanted to have present in the cities.
you can replay any mission in ac 2 its in the memory block things in the menu. but once you do the mission & its over it takes you back to your game...
Black flag has to be hands down still my favorite. I loved upgrading my ship for tougher encounters and also fishing was amazing
WAYYY HEYYY UP SHE RISES!, WAY HEYYY UP SHE RISES!, WAY HEYYY UP SHE RISES!, ERLY IN THE MORNINNNN'
yeaa i really loved being a pirate and freeing those slaves
I hated the ship missions, that was the worst part of the game, I liked the missions where you walked on land and not traveling in a boring ship
@@pudimy - Why did you play a game focused on REAL-LIFE PIRATES then, for fuck's sake?!
The worst part of black flag was that it was still a assassin creed game and not just a pirate game (that or no full pirate ending.). I had fully upgraded the jackdaw, my island and my equipment with my fleet being man o wars and i think frigates. There was nothing left to do just few last main missions and i never could finish them (i played black flag like 4 or 5 times and never finished it. Raided a lot of ships and got some good booty though.).
I never encountered a single bug in AC syndicate. It was such an underrated game. Every part of London was accessible.

same, i think the desmond missions were the actual worst part of the game, but maybe im wrong i havent played the game in a while
I actually enjoyed the Plot twist in AC3 with haytham a lot. It was great. This character meant something after that time. I think moe games should experiment with a protagonist change.
It was the best thing about the game. Great storytelling. Those top 10 influencers always make me mad
@@rbeeeConnor is underrated and he's not even my 2nd favorite either
Unity and syndicate were patched long ago i still play unity on my ps4 and never experienced any bugs or glitches.
I always considered AC3's biggest flaw to be the freaking patrols everywhere that seem to show up and turn a 30 second encounter into a twenty minute brawl. I lost count of how many liberation missions took WAY too long because I had to interrogate a dude with 3 guards and, once I took out the 3 guards, a freaking patrol would show up and now I have to fight 8 more dudes who, if I didn't take this group out fast enough, ANOTHER patrol would come around the corner. Felt like I was fighting half of New York just so I could get to a 10-second cutscene.
Origins filled me with a sense of wonder at the cities, monuments, etc. really felt like I was there in ancient Egypt
Origins and Odyssey really brought back my love for the AC series.
For history and ancient archeology lovers origins & Odyssey were good and were authentic for artery, but in GAME visuals aren't only factor but storyline, stealth should also be more interesting..
@@_Bappu_ i think origins was decent with story. (Not including the DLC.) Odyssey didn't seem like AC though!
Only thing I hate about these games is that you can't just go on to enjoy the story. You have to level up to be able to complete the story which is frustrating to say the least
Origins story and exploration was carrying the reason for playing, stealth fine ,combat is alright, the level based health and damage on enemies kinda pissed me off.
At least Origins was really too mystical, thats what turned me away from odyssey. Odyssey combat kimda meh, stealth is alright exploration is ok,story is eh
Unity has the best stealth
“Stealth was non-existent” words of someone who clearly didn’t take enough fortresses down
THATS WHAT IM SAYING. FELT SO GOOD
True. It is so fun, that being said you can just brawl yourself through them tbh, even if they call in backup
@arctikvg3693 the great part is, If that's how you wanna play, you can!
I at one point just upgraded the spear solely for stealth, because it was much more rewarding than going in swords blazing, and 5 minutes in getting destroyed by a mercenary over 7 levels above your own
“Can’t assassinate high level enemies.”
Spoken like someone who didn’t create an Assassin build that doubles damage at night, adds 50% dmg for ASSN abilities, uses all weapons and armor that adds ASSN dmg boosts, has engravings that double all of that damage again but health capped at 25% etc.
Bonus: critical strike which doubles damage and has a chance to deal the exact same damage on top + mastery perk of % chance to deal 25% ASSN damage on top of all other damage.
My ASSN dmg is already 600k but add % chance to crit and another % chance for additional 25% ASSN dmg and nothing short of enemies 10+ levels above me will survive assassination unless I get detected.
I love these games and have played and beat them all (not 100% but Im not a achievement/trophy hunter) I personally was liked the Desmond out of the Animus moments. Seeing Desmond learn the abilities that the assassins used while in the animus and doing them outside of the animus was cool and I was hoping that the series would move into a modern day setting where we get to take on the Templar during the present day setting. They killed that off and just stuck with the Animus stories and having things progress on their own outside while we play Indian Jones.
Origins -"I hate you cuz I just have to 💀"
No, it was just a stupid departure.
In my opinion the combat in origins felt stiff and janky
@JoDGames well, the thing about AC Origins is that that's a decent game.
Maybe it's bad as Assassin's Creed game, but if you look at Origins like at spin-off or standalone game, then it's really good.
And I'm not saying that AC Origins is perfect game.
I'm just saying that it can be enjoyed by some people

Maybe. But I tell ya, when I found out my power level had to be over 300 just to wield Mjolnir, I quit out😅💀
Well there's that, as you said, you should be able to enjoy it. When it's only enjoyable for like 40/50% of the game and the rest becomes boring and a chore and basically, too much, then nah.
Way too long is not bad for me but 90% of the story until the end feels like a cheap secondary missions, they were repetitive and had nothing to do with the main story, it feels like you need to earn the ending like when you were a child and your mother push you to eat the vegetables if you want dessert

@@FastForwardPlans As others have said; if you level up mostly your Assassin's skills you can, well, be an assassin! I defeated the lvl 99 mercenary while being lvl 60-something thanks to the Assassin tree, as well as the proper gears of course!
"But what about boss fights" you might ask? Well, there's one assassin's skill, Hero Strike. You can use it in battle, but it's technically an Assassin skill, with Assassin damage! And if you've built up your Assassin Tree with the proper gear, that move will take a MASSIVE chunk of health from bosses!
So, yeah: Odyssey is built so you can play it both ways! If you want to be a Warrior you can. If you want to play as an Assassin, it works just as well!
Unity: played from launch, and only had one glitch in the offline (stuck falling) and online were glitches that weren't specific to unity (common online glitches of the time)
Syndicate: again played from launch and the only glitch I had was, carriage stuck in loading as things popped in around it.
(Obviously was lucky, but Unity and Syndicate are miles ahead of the 'new' format)
Impossible things:
1. Going faster than the speed of light
2. To satisfy a AC fan
i personally loved origins. it made me feel like i was actually in ancient egypt with the soundtracks in the background and i loved the open world big map being based in all of egypt. it’s my favourite AC
I just finished the main story and completed a large chunk of the side quests (although could have done more exploring) - I didn't play any of the ones after Brotherhood and before Origins, and I absolutely LOVED Origins. Stealth was challenging but rewarding, combat loop was decent, and the world was incredible. I couldn't believe how many small details they included, and I say that after playing Elden Ring as well. Excellent game.
Starting Odyssey now and I'm not very far as of yet but loving the environment as well. I know some don't like the open world but if it meant getting these beautiful landscapes I'm in favor of it
@@cruxofthesubject1402you will not be disappointed, Odyssey is waaaay better then Origins, by a long shot
@margaretclarke7943 I'm liking it a lot thus far. Kassanda is growing on me as I play her, although I still like Bayek a lot more. Combat is way more fun though and I love sailing. The exploring also doesn't feel as tedious and feels way more natural.
Is it worth exploring the same way as Origins where a small quest can lead to something huge like an Isu vault or something?
@@cruxofthesubject1402 there is hundreds of little things that the game will never guide you towards, islands with stories that you'll only know by travelling at your own will, I've got around 120 hours in the game and done almost everything you can, very good game great story and the world is just stunning
@margaretclarke7943 awesome. I explored the entire map of origins but didn't do every ? Point. I think ill do that this time around
Stealth was a thing in Odyssey btw, but it was optional... It would be everyone had tons of health that would be the ideal complaint from what I've seen. Hit a civilian for 200 hits...
Still alive and healthy.
Valhallla was amazing I enjoyed how long and the amount of space there was
Literally, never played a game more
I honestly love Origins. It was a new take for me and took place in Egypt. I mean you get to climb the Pyramids of Giza for crying out loud! You can even go inside it. Plus the visuals when you synchronize are everything! 🥰
Exactly that’s what made it fun I love Egyptian history and learning more about it from Assassins Creed is amazing the one gamemode where you don’t have to fight or do anything just admiring the History and reading about it, the Mirages were fucking insane. Even the sceneries were mind blowing.
Origins was one of the best games in the entire series
Yeah it's a great rpg like the other 2 but there not assassin's creed .
@@louidjy12 they are called adsassins creed, related to assassins story, and the owner literally decided they were, so... They probably are.
The story was bad and the gameplay was boring, visuals are definitely not enough to make games like assassins creed.
Honestly stealth in ac odyssey is super fun if you make a stealth build
What the fuck is a stealth build? You unlock all skills by just playing through the game. You don’t need to build something specific
@@Zillionjape sure but early on it kinda matters what perks you pick.
@@Zillionjape you don't know how to play, then.
@@Zillionjape A stealth build is wheh you use a set of abilities in your build that are only meant for stealth missions. How do you not know this?
If so many people can play the game without using a major mechanic of the series, something is extremely wrong.
How come everyone says it takes 6-7 hours in AC3 to reach Connor?? It took me 3.5 and I didn't even have a horse most of it. lol
i tried playing odyssey twice because of the greek theme and i love the time period its set in so much but the dodge mechanic just seemed off. like i was always getting hit no matter which direction i dodged and with every enemy with gold around there level took so many hits to take out. and the stealth was okay but once spotted its like the entire guard post would come after you even if they were no where near you.
You can be plenty stealthy in Odyssey, it’s just optional based on your preferred play style
Comparatively stealth became much harder due to level requirements, and not being able to quickly kill same level guards at certain points
@@burritoornot856 you should turn on instant assassination, it’s really worth it
@@burritoornot856 i was about level 40 when i had to stop playing but even up to that point i had 0 issues with stealth. A good build, Engravings, proper weapons get u enough damage to kill any normal enemy and with charged stealth attack u can kill any brute type enemy. Captains sometimes may pose a threat but charged stealth attack + a few rapid attacks dispatches them before they can alert anyone
@@burritoornot856 Fair point
@@burritoornot856 there is a og assassination mode you can use
"Stealth was non-existent," my guy, there is a whole ass armor set and skill based on turning invisible along with the assassin skill like being incredibly powerful. Did we play the same game?
In all other assassins you don't have to own anything to do stealth. Odissey and valhalla, you either have the items to do stealth, or you don't do ANY stealth.
@caimanaraujo479 that's not true if the games but sure, go ahead
@@caimanaraujo479 not really, you can just have something in between. I built my character in Odyssey so that I can assassinate pretty much anyone except for mercenaries and some of the tougher captains and still be able to easily brawl. It's really not that hard if you take 10 minutes to read what the equipment and perks give
Read what you just said. An assassins creed game has an armor set and TURNING INVISIBLE to create stealth situations. That isn’t what AC is
@@wille3573 you can do literally everything else. AC is Sci-Fi and always has been. Look at what the Apple did in the first game and them tell me that
I’ve been playing Unity for a while now and there have been no glitches to render my game unplayable, not to mention if there were there’s a very simple reload last checkpoint option
idk, I'm playing AC Origins rn and I freaking love it, I have like 10+ hrs on it currently. If people are really complaining because the story line changed a little, they need to grow up. Like literally the 3 games before it was the same game with different graphics and designs
It’s the fact that stealth was pushed aside in a series based off of stealth that drove people away. Most people thought the story was fine.
I like long games, it's like having a game you love that doesn't end, I don't understand how this is a bad thing
Maybe the only goal of a player like him is to win (play to the end of the game) and not to enjoy the game itself
Yeah me too it makes me sad when i ends
It’s the sense of change for ac players they don’t like the open world level grinding which slows you down even more because missions require you to be a certain level so that’s probably why
I kind of wished it was longer to be honest
I mean having a long game is kinda boring if ur only playing this
But playing other games can also help take a break from the long one to resume it later
The problem is not if it’s too long it’s if the player gonna go hardcore on it to the point you don’t enjoy it
And people would have complained more if they splitted Valhalla in two separate games
A part one and two
Bro took stealth is an option to a whole new level 💀💀
Imagine complaining there was TOO much content in Valhalla. Games get slated for limited content 😂
huh? it was bloated and boring. saying a game is bad because they added tons of fluff and fat to a game just to add length to it when it could’ve been a more focused game and been 1000 times better because of it is a common complaint with games
We’re not really complaining because of how much content there was, it was the fact that the content itself was so unoriginal and boring that playing it was a slog.
„stealth was non-existent“
I take down entire fortresses without getting spotted bruh.
My girlfriend likes long things... She keeps on asking me if she could play some Valhalla on my PS5
and then there's me who's waited long enough and still has no girlfriend💀
Long things you say😈
Underrated comment 🤣🤣🤣. Man AC Valhalla is so long, but the good thing is once you've completed it you don't have to play it again it gets boring afterwards 😂
I'm assuming you haven't been intimate yet then
@@swapnilabey2873 bruh same💀
The worst thing about Vallhala is that it's not an Assassin's Creed game. It's a Viking game set in the Assassin's creed universe
I feel like if the latest two ACs, especially Valhalla, weren’t considered AC games then they would’ve been better received.
Barely even a viking game with how historically inaccurate it is💀
Your lack of understanding what the actual definition of an Assassin is atrocious
@@collegebro85 Assassins in AC are an group famous for sneaking around in broad daylight. Making use of specialised equipment to take out targets without drawing attention to themselves. While no slouches when it comes to open battle, the assassins of AC are sneaky, stealthy and subtle.
What part of that is reflected in launching massive invasions of settlements and storming city walls?
I understand the definition perfectly. And it's because of that, I know this is not an assassin's creed game.
What about odyssey? Its not just literally an assassin's creed game am I right?
I like that valhalla is long, i don't want a short game.
Valhalla is long but damn that game on PC you wouldn’t be right not chucking In 100+ hours into it recently went back to Valhalla and it’s such a breath of fresh air compared to these games today…
Dude playing Haytham instead of Connor was the best part of the game
Not really enjoyed playing as Connor much more than I enjoyed playing as Haytham
this is what is known as *a bad fucking take*
I enjoyed Haytham more as a character, but the game opened up a lot more with Connor
I think it was dumb to let us play with him for so long and not redeem his character. Why make me care about a villain? There was no redeemable qualities about Haytham which would have made his segment more enjoyable if there was a satisfying ending to his story other than just vengeance.
I didn’t really enjoy Conner’s character. He didn’t have any memorable lines and the only thing I remember about him was that he wielded tomahawks and was Haytham’s son. Other than that, he was a Native American but I don’t remember anything about his personality, or significant character traits. Plus like the video states he’s marketed as the main character and yet for a good chunk of the game we play as Haytham. I prefer Haytham over Conner but that’s because he’s the only one I really remembered standing out in the franchise what with being the son of Edward Kenway and yet he’s a Templar. Rogue deserves a proper remake, it has a great story and characters and it’s such a shame that it wasn’t given a bigger budget than it had.
There was absolutely stealth in odyssey. I had no trouble one shotting basically every enemy other than bosses. It is entirely possible and quite easy to clear a camp without alerting anyone and staying in stealth.
Yeah! Like saying there is no stealth is just utterly wrong! If people say stuff like that I imagine they just run into the bases and kill everyone inside.
Tbh Assassins Creed is still amazing imo and captures the classic assassin lifestyle very well. And the options it gives you to deal with missions and targets are the most canon of the series.
Combat was also much more engaging and not just "Parry, chain kill" everybody.
You could only parry kill the weakest enemies while tougher enemies took multiple parries to kill. If you pressed the attack button as your sword made contact with an enemies sword you could preform a guard break, very effective against tougher enemies, and one thing I liked is the Elites could parry you if you attacked non stop or they could guard break you if you were blocking too much.
Combat was much more strategic in that game
The length of Valhalla isn't a problem really, thec longer the story, the more enjoyment you can get out of it. The problem was that half of the story was just boring.
AC Unity eventually patched all bugs and glitches and became the swansong of the stealth franchise before it turned into a regular RPG. Truly an underrated game
no truly a stupid game i was very surprised i was able to beat it at all i mean you hide in a perfect spot and they still see you wtf i'm sorry but last time i checked assassin's are supposed to have a 6th sense not the guards

Gotta love how the only bad thing you could say for Revelations was something you literally only do once.
I feel the Haytham critique only works on replays. The first time you play it the twist is really good but when you know it's coming you're like "this is so obvious"
When the worst thing is not being the main character for a few minutes, you know that its a good game.

Yeah it was fine
Ac rogue had two new maps that were really actually used before and remade new york, the frontier type maps weren’t reused from ac 3.
Game play was just reused from black flag but i had more fun with rogue.
They had new weapons, the lands connected all together pretty much unlike black flag where you had to get back on the ship just to go around a little bit of land to get around the other side.
All the rest i agree on though lol
AC1 was really fucking cool for the time. The parkour stuff was really unique and new and at the time the combat was really fun. I wish they kept with the original vision though. Originally there would have been no minimap or map markers or even a HUD. You would have investigated your targets to find out where they are and use landmarks to navigate the world. It would have been really immersive but I could see how that could turn players off. I personally would have loved that.
Haytham was the best part of 3rd game and it was one of the most shocking shit when you learn they were Templars not assassin's. Also worst part was Connor's tutorial where you had to do same stuff you did as haytham 1 hour before
A proof that people will complaint about everything and they're never happy with anything
No game is perfect, there's value in finding downsides to even shit you like the most.
