To be fair I know a lot of girls into beauty (fashion, hair, makeup etc) and it's really about having fun with YOUR personal style and expressing yourself. I'm not surprised that all the average, normal beauty lovers were surprised by the attitude given off by the influencers because honestly you don't meet people like that IRL often.

i went to beautycon for the first time in 2015 or 16..i remember the line to get in was wrapped around the building, and it took about 2 hours to get in, (it was over 100 that day), and the girl in front of me was pregnant, and she asked if i could hold her spot in line, while she used the restroom..i said of course..she went to the front of the line just to use the restroom, and they wouldn't let her inside..she had to walk all the way to a mcdonalds..(it took her about 40 minutes total, and the line did't move in that time), but i couldnt believe that she was pregnant, and those jerks wouldn't let me use that bathroom, and they made her walk in that hot heat to a freakin public restroom. i will never forget that or how mad i was for her.

As a non-US person, I didn’t know what beautycon was as I watched this video. Then I remembered that James Charles did an undercover video there last year and had a garbage experience as well. This is not an isolated incident. If you don’t fit a certain mould, they don’t care about you.

UnweptOcean 23 I’m 7.5 months pregnant and I have to say most ppl, mostly men, are super kind and caring and courteous towards me honestly BUT I go to a clinic every morning where the demographic is less than ideal and I walked in and not one person stood up. I think young ppl, stuck up ppl (the ppl I imagine attending an event like this) and then the ppl I’m around every morning are the kind of ppl that don’t surprise me at all when it comes to something like this and it’s sad!

I felt the same way, I wanted to cry for both of them it was so horrible. I honestly can’t believe that this convention hasn’t been shutdown yet. It’s horrible! Sierra is not fat at all, she’s beautiful! It makes me so sad that this experience left her feeling this way. No one deserves to be treated that way especially when there as kind and loving as Sierra and Skylar are.
He probably won’t, but I wish Shane Dawson would talk about this this. He was there and had a blast. He’s also struggled with body image so I feel like he could relate to sierra in that sense. When you said "it's because I'm fat", my heart and soul felt the way that Skylar's face looked. I'm normal weight now, I'm almost 39. I've been a normal weight for about 5 years now. But the other 34 years of my life I was very overweight to lower end obese, and that remains a part of you. You can shed that weight, but you will never shed that experience. When you said "it's because I'm fat", instant tears. I know that feeling so well. It's so disgusting, I'm honestly at a loss for words for how disgusted I am. And, by the way, it's never good enough with weight. Look at people like Tyra Banks, she was being lambasted for being fat. It's a shame game and no weight, no size will exclude anyone from the ridiculous body shaming that exists.

Meg Dougherty well a private phone conversation you have an expectation of privacy as you would in your home! Also, recording your voice without knowledge is a security risk, as a lot of verifications are voice recognized. However if he were having that phone conversation in a public area and someone filmed him secretly it wouldn’t be against the law, as long as it’s not inflammatory/lies degrading your character or being used to make money you have no expectation of privacy in public. The laws are so meshed now and crazy, they haven’t really caught up to technology yet!

i went to beautycon for the first time in 2015 or 16..i remember the line to get in was wrapped around the building, and it took about 2 hours to get in, (it was over 100 that day), and the girl in front of me was pregnant, and she asked if i could hold her spot in line, while she used the restroom..i said of course..she went to the front of the line just to use the restroom, and they wouldn't let her inside..she had to walk all the way to a mcdonalds..(it took her about 40 minutes total, and the line did't move in that time), but i couldnt believe that she was pregnant, and those jerks wouldn't let me use that bathroom, and they made her walk in that hot heat to a freakin public restroom. i will never forget that or how mad i was for her.

I think young ppl, stuck up ppl (the ppl I imagine attending an event like this) and then the ppl I’m around every morning are the kind of ppl that don’t surprise me at all when it comes to something like this and it’s sad!

He probably won’t, but I wish Shane Dawson would talk about this this. He was there and had a blast. He’s also struggled with body image so I feel like he could relate to sierra in that sense. I'm normal weight now, I'm almost 39. I've been a normal weight for about 5 years now. But the other 34 years of my life I was very overweight to lower end obese, and that remains a part of you. You can shed that weight, but you will never shed that experience.

Meg Dougherty well a private phone conversation you have an expectation of privacy as you would in your home! Also, recording your voice without knowledge is a security risk, as a lot of verifications are voice recognized. However if he were having that phone conversation in a public area and someone filmed him secretly it wouldn’t be against the law, as long as it’s not inflammatory/lies degrading your character or being used to make money you have no expectation of privacy in public. The laws are so meshed now and crazy, they haven’t really caught up to technology yet!
