No one takes advantage of my grandmother she's the nicest person to ever exist and anyone who would take advantage of someone like that should be ashamed of themselves. I actually asked him how he sleeps at night knowing how he exploits people, and that if they cash her check I was gonna bend him over and fuck his ass raw. Hahahahaha

It isn't always easy to do. For one thing, it only works on older OSes. For another, scammers are usually wary of it, so you need to take them by surprise

I am in Louisiana and they have a new scam that has just started here in the past week or so. Someone is calling people and this time it was my daughter and they are saying they are calling from the parish courthouse and they are the police section that collects on people who fail to appear for jury duty. Something like that and then try to tell my daughter that she skipped jury duty and there was a warrant out for her arrest. But they’re real good at it because the number they’re calling from is actually in the number of the courthouse. She was supposed to. That morning but she didn’t but she never got a summons either. So she called or asked the guy what she needed to do and he wanted to meet her at the courthouse where she could take care of it and they would put a contact order on it instead of her getting arrested. Some bullshit when they got disconnected and she called back the number and it was theActual courthouse and none of the police officers they are heard of this man and they said they had no jury duty that morning. We’re not sure why this person scam to my daughter to go to the courthouse unless they were trying to get her address and robber house while she wasn’t home or the fact that she wasn’t going to do any kind of money transfer over the phone. Not sure what their purpose is but it’s a new one so people will beware
There are some apps that let u choose your own number but all they got to do is plug a house phone you buy from Fred's dollar general or Walmart in to an active landline and it is ready to use. Most the time the phone company's box is located outside and all you got to do is tap in to it
if they have a foreign accent, especially an indian once, that’s a red flag. i get scam calls about owing money to the irs and urgent visa credit card verifications. and they were about to spoof the official phone numbers. once i hear an indian trying hard to sound american with their wonky ass indian english, i hang up right away or cuss them out. don’t_be_gullible!
