The best cases for any phone are without a doubt the ones with a second front frame providing a real 360 deg protection. I have broken my last two phones and not even the brand and bulky cases were able to save them. If a case simply fits from the rear this automatically means that in some situations depending on the impact angle the impact force will make your case bezel momentarily slip off leaving your phone unprotected and prone to hit the floor directly. I'm currently using the Supcase shown here and, yes the transparent protective layer can be a bit annoying, but the level of protection is top level. This one will not budge on impact. My phone glass sits inside at all times. A few other brands have this kind of front bezel but from all my searches only Supcase and Poetic build this kind of protective cases for A52 phones.
A front frame does seem important. Can the transparent layer be removed and replaced with a glass screen protector? And is the front frame rubber, or just hard plastic?
@@beemo9 Talking about the Supcase: the front frame and back cover are made of hard plastic. They are kept together by a rubber material that grabs the front frame very tightly. The transparent layer is fixed and cannot be removed. A round light adhesive provides a good contact with the fingerprint reader. This means you cannot use a tempered glass screen protector. Well, I mean... I never tried it... I never found a way to buy a Poetic case here in Portugal, but according to them the Spartan model has a metal back and comes with two different frames inside the box: one with transparent layer and another one without and lets you choose the one you prefer.
if no one knows Otterbox made a case for A52 5G defender series, and that is way, way, way more protective then some of the cases here. I kinda want some one to make a review of it and im also not sure if its screen protector friendly
Otterbox is hands down the best phone cases. Usually they know their stuff so don't worry about screen protectors. I just bought one for my a52 so here's hoping I'm right.
It does lie flat. Only negatives are that the paint is thin, so the black version will look the best the longest. And the rubber part near the buttons (about 2 inches long on the s21 fe), don't affix as tight to the case as the other areas. They seemed to have designed this on purpose as to not interfere with button operation.
The Supcase Unicorn is a fantastic protective case, but it's "built in protective screen" is God awful... it's a flimsy plastic film hanging off the edge of the case's frame causing an uneven glossy effect along with a colourful oily appearance (think petrol on water). Additionally it's loose fitting so dust easily gets under it. Suffice to say I got rid of it using a hair dryer to soften the glue around the edges to easily peel it off, and replaced it with a proper protective tempered glass screen.
what a load of rubbish no mentian if the cases protect the screen and if so can you still use the print reader. it is the screen that is the most fragile
screen protection is catastrophic. protective glass or plastic creates very very poor visibility! eye strain. horror in one word. when the protective glass is removed from the frame, a large space is made between the phone and the frame. very bad that the manufacturer did not foresee to get an empty plastic frame with the product.
