Thanks for the video. My parents moved to this area when my father retired. We lived on the Parkchester area of the Bronx when I was a kid. Westchester Ave and the #6 subway line connects Parkchester and Pelham Bay and was an integral part of my childhood. I live in Texas now. Thanks for the memories.

Grew'Up /went to school around that area thru-out 70s-80s.. A Clean/friendly area which was heavily dominated by Irish & Italians back then.. Was always quiet , everyone pretty much knew everyone else, best restaurants, pizzerias, etc.(My Favorite pizzeria was/is Tommy's Pizzeria "ONE OF THE BESTS IN THE AREA" on Tremont by Miles Ave. Lived around the corner from it 🤪🤪)..My Favorite of memories/friends growing'up there late 70s/80s..😎❤️❤️👍👍👍

25 years ago I lived in the building right across the street from P.S 71 and a bakery. Don't know if it's still around.

Have you heard of Pelham Gardens? It’s not too far from Pelham Bay. It’s west of Pelham Bay. The main thoroughfare is Eastchester Road running from north to south, and avenues like Mace, Waring, Allerton, and Astor and Pelham Parkway run through it. It’s very residential, quiet and cozy, for the most part. There aren’t that many restaurants and interesting things in it like Pelham Bay and Morris Park, but it’s always a nice walk. I would say it’s especially nice when you go east towards the Hutch on Astor, Waring and Stilwell avenues.
There’s also an enclave nestled between Pelham Gardens, Pelham Parkway, and Morris Park called Indian Village that’s really nice. All private homes. Some look like they’re right out of Westchester and Pelham Manor. It’s to the west of Jacobi Hospital. You should check it out!

I miss The Bronx New York. I would not mind living there. I like 👍 mixed diverse people cultures. I use to live in The Bronx. I lived in Hertford North Carolina, I lived in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and I now live in Darby Pennsylvania. I pray one day I can come back home 🏠 financially blessed 🥹 to The Bronx or Queens.

Sorry for continuing to comment lol ... but another thing about The Bronx as you mentioned is it's very diverse but the city never updates this fact so many people only think it's black and latino people that are mostly there
