Reach are surely heroes. In 2006 I was flown from an accident from a dui driver. Trauma center was 1hr from me. 15 mins in heli. Saved my life. Thank you reach

I can't wait till I finally earn all my helicopter ratings and certifications. My ultimate goal really is to fly for law enforcement but I definitely would not hesitate flying for EMS or fire & rescue services. You can tell these men truly love their jobs. :)

+Peace Ninja How expensive is that? I've been very interested, but people keep telling me it's prohibitively expensive.

Aardvark Unfortunately earning helicopter ratings is very expensive, and more expensive compared to airplane flight training. You just so happened to reply to this comment I made last year in a time that I am finding it very difficult to pay for school :(

:( That sucks. Such a rewarding field too, helping people from the air, whether it's EMS or fire or police.

I’ve always wanted to try to fly but unfortunately thanks to my seizures that’s out of the question

Too bad they pulled out of Corvallis and left for Rosenberg. Not surprised though, the city puts nothing into that airport..

only one pilot? why is that? Bravo Zulu on a job well done in most kind of weather.

+John Moore No room, if you look at the patient area, it goes forward into the front of the helicopter.

@@BobABooey. That’s not true, it’s only because they don’t require two pilots for these kinds of operations. Most EMS helicopters have two cockpit seats and they all operate with just one pilot. For one because why pay two pilots when you can just pay one. Secondly is for weight purposes.

@@427SuperSnake1 Once again the armchair pilot strikes. He wanted to know why there were not two pilots up front, I replied because the patient area doesn't allow for that. There is no reason to have two pilots on a helicopter, and these sips are not two pilot operations anyway. When I fly, my partner has no flying experience except for the times I let them get a little stick time. I have given enough training to get the ship close enough to the ground to do a run-on landing just in case of an emergency, you know, say I drop dead of a heart attack.

I'd rather get the helicopter and the skilled practitioners that fly on it.
