Ned Rush is an infotaining universe of ideas for ways to make music, including areas of music production, music composition, sampling, synthesisers and sound design in software like Ableton, MaxMSP, Reason, and on hardware such as eurorack modular, Elektron boxes like the Octatrack and Analog Rytm, also visual art strategies using Jitter, focusing on music genres such electronica, IDM, glitch, jungle, breakcore, electro-acoustic, musique concrete, as well as discussing music via interviews and podcasts, and music performances via livestreams.
I love how every video we learn to put a limiter on the master
“Drum Racks are cool…you can do a whole track in one. Maybe I’ll do a video about that”

Man these videos make everything sunny. I love watching you work.
Ned's videos always brighten my day. So charming
Very nice idea !! Love Dubbin' with a midi controller but it's a very nice way to learn and work with Ableton stuff...
Yes !! More videos like that could be great !!
Slow down, I cannot keep up with the ton of goodness!
Seriously…do not slow down! So appreciate that you work with my favorite genres and do such great work!

This was so damn brillo pads... thank you
this reminds me of the song "Grimskunk - Dimming the light" like crazy
Finally! I'm not the only one 😂
Thanks Brother!!!
Love that, brilliant. Do you know any way to have drum names showing in piano roll when using 3rd party software like it does with Racks? Cheers
I don’t sorry.
I think the notes are being missed on the bass because it's playing notes that aren't programmes in the midi scale plug in so they just drop out.
Hello Ned Rush, Could you link me to the rare vintage samples you've used in this video? I really liked them
www.patreon.com/posts/97712497?
Excelent tutorial. Thank you very much for that!
I know you can record the result as audio, but I'm a control freak, so I'd prefer to catch all the midi and control data if possible. Is there a way to catch all the random data as midi and control data, in order to be able to edit it afterwords? (I've tried to figure it out, but there does not seem to be an obvious way to do this).
Cheers!
Thomas
Midi yes. By control data if you mean stuff that’s been mapped with the api modulators then no.
Yes I was interested in recording both midi and the control data being mapped for later editing. It is what it is. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!
Cheers @@NedRush
Modulate the delay time on the echo too, for that dubby pitch shifty stuff.
Top banana
need more nasty bass
