A long time ago I read an article about a 73 Road Runner that Red Fox (star of Sanford and Son) had ordered new. He was very disappointed they did not offer a 440 four speed that year. They offered a 440 automatic and a 400 4 speed. So he ordered the 400 4 speed and had the dealership remove the brand new 400 and put in a 440. I think the car was in a collection or museum in Las Vegas.
That's super interesting! This one was a 4 speed car too, but was the middle spec 360 small block
I own a 73 Roadrunner (18 yr project car) lol. She’s all done now, and ready for paint. Your friend has a really nice Runner!
It is! It's going in storage until next spring when their house is finished and they move in. I'll be following along with the project as he finishes it and gets it on the road if you want to subscribe. We're a really small channel so every sub means the world to us! Cheers

I have the Roadrunner and my wife owns a ‘69 AMC Javelin SST (survivor car) with only 70k original miles. Sat up on blocks in someone’s garage in Cali for 30+ yrs! Car looks and runs great. Good luck with the channel building it up. I’ll help spread the word.
@@stevemorrison4401 Thanks! Hopefully it isn't too long before we can film an update on the Roadrunner project. There should be plenty of other gearhead stuff in the meantime though. Hope you like it!
