You don't have to imagine. Błaszczykowski was quite a famous Borussia Dortmund player, and also Piszczek played there. Lewandowski, who also played with them, seems a piece of cake to pronounce 😂

Polish is fonetic. We say exactly the same as we write. There is a video called "How to read polish or something". It explains a lot.
Really? How about ; "chochlik" if Polish was really phonetic 100% we would pronounce it c's as well.or " dzdzownica we don't pronounce d and z' how they are seen.
@@waldemarusmc3191 - The ''c'' in ''chochlik'' is not just ''c'' anymore but it becomes a part of the following ''h''. It indicates that the ''h'' is voiceless unlike ''h'' without preceding it ''c'' which is voiced. The easiest way to check whether a sound is voiced or unvoiced is to put your finger on your throat at the level of the larynx and say this sound in isolation, i.e. so that only this sound sounds. In the word ''dżdżownica'' there is no ''z'' only ''ż'' and it's pronounced.
The Polish alphabet is almost entirely phonetic. Once you learn to read individual letters, you will have no problem pronouncing any word correctly. It may be harder the other way around, but it's still a lot easier than in English!

I had a teacher of polish language, her name : Szczęchuła. Please try this :D
In Polish, when we write ch the c is silent. It used to be a slightly different sound of h, but not ch and h are the same. Polish w is equivalent to English v and Polish ł is English w sound. Cz is English ch like in the word chalk. Sz is English sh and rz is a similar sound, but harder. Ż sounds the same as rz. Ę is something between English en and ew (some Poles pronounce it as en). Y is difficult to explain, because it's an additional vowel that comes from your throat. Im English, I'd say Brzęczyszczykiewicz would be something like Bshenchishchikyevitch. Chrząszczyrzewoszyce would be like Hshonshchishevoshitse. Hope that helps you understand!

It reads exactly as it is written. Only you can't read Polish letters. In Polish there are also additional sounds represented by pairs of letters or added dashes and dots, such as: rz, ż, ź, cz, ć, sz, si, ś, ą, ę, dz, dź, dź, dzi, ó, ł, ch, ń

It's fonetic issue- "H" is short but combo with "c" "ch" is long "h". This same with letter "ż" (short) and combo "rz" (long) or with "u" (long) and "ó" (short). Easy.

secret is you CAN reapeat what you actually hear. Non Polish speaker cannot easily READ. But it's possible to just copy sounds heard. Greetings from Poland. Anyway, Polish is quite consistent in pronouncing. But is has many "two letter stuff". LIke "rz" pronounced as [zh], "sz" as [sh], "Ch' as [h]/ and so on. also letters 'ą' and "ę" are bit tricky Sound a little "French". Best example is the name of birthplace.
Anyway, close your eyes and say what you heard. Much bigger chance you'd do it than trying to read it being non Polish.

Even for Polish people is really hard to say it. You say it close enough. Saying consonants is really important here. Let me explain.

First of "Rz" you drawl "shee".
"Cz" you drawl "tshhhh"
"Sz" you drawl "shhhh"

Although I have known this film for years, it always makes me laugh. The film's protagonist's name was Franciszek (Frank) Dolas, but he did not give his real name because he escaped the Germans from forced labor. He gave a false name Grzegorz (Gregory), the surname Brzęczyszczykiewicz, difficult for Germans to pronounce, and an invented place of residence, also difficult to pronounce.

Ta scena mówi o tym , że bohater wraz ze swoim kolegą , uciekał przed nazistami i znalazł się w pociągu ,w którym były dokumenty pewnych rolników. W czasie drogi uczyli sie ich nazwisk i adresu. Tamtych prawdziwych rolników pojmano a ci pojechali pociagiem, który wydawało im się miał zawieść ich do miasta polskiego a pojechali w kierunku austriackiego. 😂😂😂

6:30 There are 32 letters in the Polish alphabet, plus the letters q, v and x in some words of foreign origin, i.e. borrowed or in historical spelling, making a total of 35. There are 26 in the English alphabet.
It's pronounced just as written. We have diagraphs just like English (sh - sz, ch - cz, zh - rz)
These are tongue twisters in Polish as well, for comedic effect. Not all words in Polish are that complicated ;)

See, it has a dot above, so it is a different sound. It's pronounced like the second "g" in "garage".
And unlike in English, in Polish the pronounciation of each letter is the same, it's just that we have a few sounds that English doesn't necessarily have, so if you ignore the dots and the dashes and try to read it like English it's not gonna work.

Hi! Try pronouncing it without looking at the spelling, just repeat by hearing, it's easier than you think! And also - Polish pronounciation is very regular, once you get hold of the rules, it's easy. Plus, almost all the sounds in Polish can be found in the English pronounciation, they're just spelled differently :)
Why do we write letters and do not pronounce them? History changings. It's our own language and we love it! English is strange too ;-)

Actually Polish is almost 100% phonetic so if You know the rules almost every written letter is spelled the same way. With several exceptions.
