The funny thing is main character's name in this movie was just Franek Dolas.
He made up this name *SPECIFICALLY* to piss the Germans off. It was intentional and there was literally nothing the Germans could do about it as they couldn't prove that he's giving them a false name.
In short - he was trolling the Germans before trolling was even a thing.
He made it up, but name Grzegorz is very popular in Poland and Brzęczyszczykiewicz is a total normal surname. Nothing crazy as well as Chrząszczyżewoszyce powiat Łękołody. All good 😎

I visited a classic car show in one of the english speaking states. While admiring nicely restored stang, I was approached by the local newspaper journalist. After short exchange he took my picture beside the car and asked for my name. Being unruly Pole I said Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz. He asked me for spelling. In 1/3 of the last name dictation he vanished in the crowd with the lightning speed.

That whole concert is one of the best that will ever be. Their song Baby Blue, Night Cruising and Long Season(whole album is 1 song) also? They play the whole long season during that concert as well. The night cruising they open with is also one of the most passionate performances I think anyone will hear.

His real name is "Francis Dolas", he came up with the false name from outer space, because in the movie he want to piss off the nazis who arested him, and he's making fun of those Nazis.
