I have played the 2k Yamato turn after playing izo and it was nice giving out the extra rested dawn. I can’t say I’d play it a lot but it can definitely be beneficial

I get why it makes sense but it does feel bad to include the mountain lord in this deck because the 1k counter is redundant with leader effect
I think the real reason is to be able to activate Oden's second ability. That ability that requires a 5 cost.
