As a chinese person, I play geoguessr and am going back to China this summer, and I hope to play geoguessr there. Grateful that they could make a community there.
i'm from china, and I now live in the US. I can tell you that the chinese community has been working really hard for the game, and basically the whole plonk it website has been translated. Also, we have baidu street view which covers china, so we have actual china rounds, and the community has also made metas for china rounds just like plonk it.
Genshin impact is a meme in china. The people who play the game tend to be dumb or say stupid things on the internet. So when someone is dumb, we say it's because they play genshin impact （玩原神玩的）So you know what that guy meant.
I thought people were exaggerating about the subtitles struggling to keep up with him, but every time he says Geoguesser, the subs just throwin hail maries 😂

It is a road that leads you deep into the rainforest of el yunque, there is a tower there and a trail that leads you further in on foot that eventually ends at a waterfall, very beautiful place. The building is actually a souvenir stop.

Yeah, there seem to be more GeoGuessr alternatives. Like there is GeoTastic, I think developed by a single German guy. It's freemium, meaning a lot of it is free, but certain features aren't. And you can donate. He makes less than the Google API costs, though. :/
fun fact about Puerto Rico in minute 12:50 Most roads in the montains look like that only that the main cities and main towns from diferent municipalities are shown on the map, another fun fact is that the gps tends to send you off a cliff

But I think the Chinese players need some incentives to play the game, like the reason they're good at some ESports games is that the tournament, they have a chance to win a lot of money
