Sorry meant to say in last comment you definitely do not want to be using adaptive cruise control in icy or wet roads. Especially on a bike. its bad enough in a car or truck. Not trying to be negative. Just helping all stay safe on the roads.
@@ontheroadadventure If you have a spin out for example. Only use it when you have full traction, I am sending Yamaha my thoughts on this and see what they say or any advice etc. But imagine the wheel slipping but the engine is maintaining the speed on ice or if you suddenly get some black ice that you did not know was there. Ok at low speed but anything above that. The adaptive cansor reaction time would a be a huge pointer factor aswell. In fog and ice. Its not so much whats in front, its what is coming up behind you if that makes sense.
My guess is that the traction control would take over in the even of traction and cut the power but i dont know that, its just my assumption. We have to remember that these are riding aids and not in any way a transfer of responsibility from rider to bike@@BeekaysBikesandTheAbbeyLanders

It' not quite the same engine as on the original Tracer. Displacement was increased a couple of years ago from 847 to 890 cc, and internal improvements were made as well. The bigger engine makes more torque lower down in the rev range.
@@ontheroadadventure Yes, the two are very different in character. Similar power ratings, but the Guzzi has more torque and it's available all over the rev range. Much more tech on the Guzzi compared to my older Tracer and the Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes on the Mandello are superior to the Tracer's, as expected. I also like that the Guzzi has shaft drive, so no more chain maintenance to do. Styling is subjective of course but I think the Mandello is one of the more attractive motorcycles available today.
I have to agree about a shaft drive, keeping on top of our chains when you ride as much as we do is a never ending chore, as is washing the bikes! I really must try out a moto Guzzi and see what all the fuss is about

@@ontheroadadventure 😘 x that’s for her not you! 😂😂
@@johnterry804 Tough im taking it 😂
Great video as always 👍
Thanks so much, Glad you enjoyed the review. Is the Tracer your cup of tea?
Soft and plush?... heck no! The A2 setting (street mode) is way too harsh up front.
Its a preference thing i guess, People complained about the last one that suspension was far too soft...
A good video i must say not sure about the electronics
you dont like them on this bike or Modern tech in general?
@@ontheroadadventure just in general to mendy electronics so good and so bad takes away the art of riding in my opinion
@@frankmlchaelglasscock6539 I know what you mean, but I think the good out weighs the bad…. And we cannot stop inevitable progress
@@ontheroadadventure yes you r right but I am old school i think electronics comes from your right wrist
@@frankmlchaelglasscock6539 There’s definitely something more fun about riding a powerful bike with no electronics
Sorry meant to say in last comment you definitely do not want to be using adaptive cruise control in icy or wet roads. Especially on a bike. its bad enough in a car or truck. Not trying to be negative. Just helping all stay safe on the roads.
for what reason? This is my first experience of the adaptive cruise control
@@ontheroadadventure Yeah I kind of thought that might be the case but not sure either. Just be careful if you are out in the next few days though as ice in the forecasts Stay safe.
@@BeekaysBikesandTheAbbeyLanders Yeah weather looks to get very cold over the next week which may well put a stop to us riding
It' not quite the same engine as on the original Tracer. Displacement was increased a couple of years ago from 847 to 890 cc, and internal improvements were made as well. The bigger engine makes more torque lower down in the rev range.
Yes you are correct, This has always been a peach of an engine and this extra little boost is a welcome addition 👍 Big fan of the Tracer!
@@ontheroadadventure Yes, I owned an '18 model Tracer 900, now on a Guzzi Mandello S and loving that as well. Cheers.
@@kingkrimson8771 How does the Guzzi compare for you? That’s a very different change
I really must try out a moto Guzzi and see what all the fuss is about
Yamaha tracer 9gt plus has semi active suspension front and rear. Not just front
There is a manual adjustment lever on this one? I point it out in the video?
Yes there is manual adjustment. But yamaha says auto adjustment on the .says this on yamaha website
Ideal, even better than i was aware of then @@paulneedham3608
Nice bike
My wife owned one in 2017 and I took it for a service while she was at work
Easy to lose licence with this bike
Very smooth bike
But I do not see it as a 2 up travel bike for big miles to be honest
And its to expensive
Nice video again 👍
I had the 2017 and got ride of it before it had my licence from me too lol, I just can’t be trusted with a bike that wants to go fast
Yes, they're lovely bikes, but too much like a four for me. Too smooth.
Yeah I can understand that..
2018 tracer owner..never liked the feel of the rough drivetrain feel through the pegs...have they resolved this with the newer model??
This is a very smooth bike, there’s been so many upgrades since the 2018 model, you should get on one for a test ride…
I am so verging on buying one of these
One of my favourite bikes ever the Tracer… but be warned… they like to play!
Did you get one?
I made the bad mistake of buying one, had it two weeks, hated the damn thing....sold it back to the shop.
Oh wow, What did you hate about it?
You sound like a troll
Tracer gt is a great bike, but its really a one man bike. There isn't much space for pillions if the rider is over 6'
I have to agree, I did take pillions on my tracer but it wasn’t ideal and the older one I had the suspension was not up to the job for two up riding
your tracer noticed red car...he slowed down 1-2mph and make room betwen you two...what did u expect, full brake on??
Many ppl dont have a clue how ACC works
I didn’t think it changed much, but we must remember these are not instead of rider inputs, just helpful rider aids
It’s new to most bud 👍
@@ontheroadadventure not tru ACC is in cars and trucks(lorry)at least 10years...same function like this one on bike
I dont do cars bud, doesnt interest me in the slightest. Cant be a bad thing though im sure @@MrCyder
Just about to say "Open her up" but you beat me to it with not showing m8.
Had to be careful with editing on this one! Loads of fun to be had on the tracer!
That stretch of road you started to wind her up is the same place I used to let my old girl rip. 130 and my arse started twitching. Not good in your 60's but better than sex lol @@ontheroadadventure
@@devonshire5482 I don’t know what you mean…. 😉
Not 900, they changed it to 9.
Well spotted 👍
they look at ducati when thy made the frontend, when I look at it
Im not a fan of how the front looks at all, good job you soon forget about it when you get on it and ride
I hardly dare to say it now, but I drive a Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro from 2019, and I immediately noticed the similarity,,, but please don't hate me for it hahaha@@ontheroadadventure
lol seems like a good idea at the time eh!
Good and fun bike. Yamaha always emphasize sports over touring. Honda is the opposite.
Would be perfect if not for the hideous looking urine cup (aka brake reservoir) and the up side down panniers.
it does look like a afterthought that brake fluid Res and perhaps a bit a weak point in a drop being made of plastic. The cases are not designed well, with the larger part being at the top, just doesnt make sense
I put one of my tennis wrist bands around it, problem solved 😅

I think that's the main issue with any bike above 250cc.
No problem bud, nice big comfy seat, biggest thing is riding sensibly and earning your pillions trust
@@ontheroadadventure I got more girls on the back of my 1989 Honda XR250R than any other motorcycle I've had, by far.

Hi you know that yamah revs your hart . 😊
You’re not wrong!
yamaha have destroyed this bike (aesthetically) from the 2015/16 model.
I agree especially the front
On the contrary, especially the red one 2021+ looks awesome. Very well designed, has a Ducati look (not just the colour, overall lines and design quality). 2015 had an old style, raw futuristic design language and that lack of design is maybe what you prefer.
Why do you ride a bike when you moan about wind noise and soft seats, just drive a car😂
We all want the aspects of a bike to be as good as it can be surely?
Competent, yes but fugly and too expensive. No thanks.
It’s sad but I almost have to agree with you!
