    As far as quality of print is concerned, how much difference is there between the c3070 and the c1070 that you'll hopefully get?

    • @justaprinter
      @justaprinter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'm not sure of the exact differences between those but I would suspect that the quality is basically the same. Both of those machines use the same developer, toner, drums, coronas, etc. I'm sure there are some differences but they are probably minor. Or may be Konica just changed the number?

    You made me fall in love with c3070 and I eventually got it. This thing is a beast. Watching your videos faithfully as they come really help me learn and make wise decisions. Today I tried the registration thing and it was awesome.

    I love my Accurio. I run the printed covers thru the post inserter and let the finisher saddle stitch the books. I do really like your booklet maker and Morgana score and fold machine

    Don’t quote me on this, but I think your extra warm up time was to handle that dense of a lay down of toner.

    Really weird question to ask but do you ever get a cadence in your head that matches what the machine has? some times I will get a 2 or 3 word cadence in my head and repeat it with each cycle of the machine. If they do not match perfectly I know their was a hiccup. Maybe I am just weird.

    • @justaprinter
      @justaprinter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup. I agree. I can know from the next room if a machine has an issue just by hearing it run.

    Fastnacht, also Fasnet, Fasching, etc.: Carnival, the celebration of the last days before lent. Traditionally used to get rid of old year's foods that couldn't be eaten during lent or wouldn't keep with the rising spring temperatures. Literal meaning of the name is "fast night" as in "the night before the fasting time (lent)". Other traditions include donning costumes and making noise to scare away the ghosts of the old year (that roman calendar we're using nowadays has the start of the year 2-3 months earlier than what's typical), which is alike to the Halloween traditions of Amerika.
    And now you know why you got donuts. ;)

    The warming up period is typically due to changing of the paper weight. The fuser must warmup or cool down to reache the correct temp for the paper stock you selected.

    I really like your enthusiasm for the quality of the prints, did you know the screening is Minolta? Its comes from our previous camera business. I have sold KM production in the UK for 10 years and the feedback from customers is always great. The colour output is what defines us from our competitors, its all patented and is different for each manufacturer. Would love to see you with a Accuriopress C14000 ;0)

    Scan Measure is dynamite, right?! Note: Scan Measure works only on sheets 11"x17"/A3 or larger. Also, I don't think you can skip step 1 (print the background sheet), so saving the background sheet won't do you any good. Nice demo!

    • @justaprinter
      @justaprinter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is, thanks for the tip! You can skip the background sheet, I reused it today. :) Thanks again!

    • @mukarimu
      @mukarimu 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justaprinter I agree you can skip. It was my first time to do the scan measure thing, and little did I know you have to use A3 or 11x17 size paper for the background. We don't stock A3 sizes in our small print shop, we only use SRA3s. So to counter this, I looked for an already black stock card, cut it into size A3. On the screen, I skipped step one and man! it worked.

    Hi, as a fellow printer based in the UK, just wanted to say I enjoy your channel!!
    You used to have a c8000?? What was your experience with that?
    We had one for 5 years and it was the worst 5 years of my working life!!

    • @justaprinter
      @justaprinter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was a challenge for me too. The main two issues that caused problems for me were the fuser design and the second transfer belt. Other than that it was a decent machine. I'm glad its gone, I bought it used and ran it for 4 years. Thanks for watching!

    • @allistercarswell8769
      @allistercarswell8769 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justaprinter Yea we also had fuser issues and second transfer also. Mainly primary fuser. transfer cleaning was also an issue, primary transfer belts failing, drums failing with marks etc etc. Being on a service contract these were all engineer replaceable parts only. machine was new and within a year the main fuser and secondary fuser complete units were replaced, from the floor to the top of the assembly, complete units. Also, we had major issues with toner spotting, so dev tanks and toner lines broke down and seals failed which put debris into the dev and toner and left spots all over the sheets. I seen us having to sift through dev with a siv, to remove lumps to try get us going again as parts were on back order. As I said, nightmare time.
      Keep up the channel it's very informative and good to watch!

    Hey dan , In your video I heard you had c8000 , I wonder why you changed it ? The realability ! Or what

    • @justaprinter
      @justaprinter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The c8000 was a bad model. Lots of issues. I particularly didn't like the lower transfer belt unit, they are very expensive. On my current machines it is only a roller. Also the fuser on the c8000 had a belt that was a mess to adjust and if it wasn't perfect print quality was very bad.
