I tell you, Ghost is going for stadiums. This song and full album is a masterpiece. The songs cannot get out of my head. Tobias said he want to be as big as Rammstein - i think it's very soon.
After the first 2 beautifully crafted and strange albums, they reached the top with “Meliora”. “Prequelle” wasn’t the album i felt it could have been with all the drama with ex members at the time probably contributing to that. BUT this, here my friends; is Ghost reaching for the highest of the high, and actually getting there. This is greatness!!!
@@zemocon2868 I can appreciate that people could be of that opinion. It's just as valid as mine. Just for conversations sake, I think that "Meliora" was the first time Tobias's vision of the perfectly crafted Ghost album was as close to being realised as he originally envisioned. "Prequelle" I felt, while brilliant in parts (and I actually enjoy it more in hindsight now that "Impera" is out) I feel was a clouded and affected work. IMO it didn't have the same sense of being captured and taken to another realm, or on a journey that "Meliora" and now, "Impera" has. "Prequelle's" highs were as high, but not as often. The twists and turns were there, but less surprising/more predictable. The album is really good, I can enjoy it now, where I couldn't before for awhile. It felt like one big missed opportunity. Thats where what was going on around the band at the time IMO creeped in and affected the work it became, a flawed masterpiece. I find "Impera", to me, the album"Prequelle" could of been under a different set of circumstances. "Impera" captures everything that was great about "Meliora", expands upon it musically and conceptually, then exceeds expectations in every way. I have followed Ghost from the beginning and will until the end, regardless of where it goes. Bands like this are rare and I'm on for the ride for all the highs and lows.
There’s a reason Papa IV was revealed in Mexico! Watching the live concerts there you guys really have a lot of energy and hype! But so does reno Nevada 😎
Tobias mentioned he was aiming for that killer Def Leppard production and songwriting and I can actually hear that now, not aping them but shooting for Hysteria level production and he pretty much nails it, even Joe Elliot said he has this album on regular rotation now, that's gotta feel pretty good for them to hear that.
Tobias for this album and Prequelle is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. That stream last night was epic....people complained for only 4 songs, could of had nothing
An instant classic. This new album is epic in every. TF is proving to be THE prolific musician of modern times. Different genre of course, but almost reminds me of the run the Prince was on from 82-88. Could literally do no wrong.
This is a start to finish masterfully helmed album. The excellent songwriting paired with this elevated musicianship is exactly what Ghost needed. The choice of hiring Fredrik Åkkeson from Opeth was brilliant. I listened to the whole thing on viny last night. I'm just blown away. Tobias is really recapturing the magic of 80's metal/rock with a fresh take. All the best elements of their sound from previous records have been dialed up to 11. Ghost has a whole is like a homage to this lost era of rock/metal, and with their incredibly unique sound it's really cementing them as a worthy successor like no other band in recent years. Excellent work Tobias! My faith in Ghost has been restored since the fallout after Meliora. Prequelle doesn't come close to topping that album, but this album is up there.
I've been anxious all day except for during the livestream ritual, downloading my pre-ordered digital copy of Impera, and listening to this release. Ghost cures my mental illness 🖤🥀💀👻🤘
This sounds like it’s straight out of the late 1970’s. Ghost is absolutely amazing! Impera sounds like the love child of Meliora & Prequelle. It’s only one day old and it’s already an absolute classic! #IfYouHaveGhostYouHaveEverything #Impera
Best song on the album hands down, reminds me of an 80s action montage. Incredibly catchy with a great riff. Honestly think this is one of the best songs they've ever written
The guitar riffs after the bridge take this song to a whole different level. And the wailing behind the outro is giving serious Dio vibes. Chefs kiss, this song is perfect.
The way they can make the trash and power metal vibes sound even better than a lot of legendary bands is insane. The musical range of this Ghost is on another level.
I accidently saw that latest movie, 'RITE HERE, RITE NOW'. Not bad. I found the MUSIC VIDEO, to 'MARY ON THE CROSS', to be somwhat sad, for some strange reason. Anyway, keep up the great comedy bits, and showing the HOLLYWOOD AUDIENCE, with all their great outfits. I love the 'A-HA' reference.
This song is a true masterpiece. The first couple of verses epically chug along, then the bridge comes and melts my face, the chugging then resumes with the final chorus, and finally we have the blissfully glorious extended outro. It is a fact, Tobias and co. are masterminds of their craft. I would say that this is the best music I've heard in decades, but even decades ago music wasn't as good as this!

I think I’m the 1.7 of the 1.8 million views. I listen to this song so much
Definitely one of the best songs in Impera. The part in which the guitar solo is combined to the chorus in the end makes me fly really high
Today was a tough day at work... Thanks Papa for bringing the new song to all of us. You made my day! You never let us walk alone.
You can always reach him
Hey man we had a similar day. Hope your day gets better I’m sitting here stressing but this is helping
If you have Ghost you have everything.👻

What a nice surprise. Looking forward to getting a copy of the album mañana.
Annnd I’m hooked! Tobias is a musical genius 🙌
Little Sunshine is my fav song off the new album but MAN this one goes hard as well. Ghost back, and BETTER THAN EVER!!! 🤘
SIN dudas la evolucion de GHOST es impresionante, esperamos mucho mas por venir!!!congratulaciones.
I wish to inform you that.....whoever does your album art work is FANTASTIC 💯💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I love Ghost 🔥🔥🔥🧨
Zbigniew M. Bielak 🖤🤘
Kinda has a little Iron Maiden vibe to it
I was going to say iron maiden and tool mixed
This album art reminds me of that famous Aleister Crowley photo
@@jonnyleeg4058 funny you mention that, cause this song gives me Mr. Crowley vibes.
Ghost
Son los mejores
Ya vengan de regreso a México
Los amamos
There’s a reason Papa IV was revealed in Mexico!
Watching the live concerts there you guys really have a lot of energy and hype!
But so does reno Nevada 😎
Ha! AQUI LOS MAMAN
Ghost, es una garcha...No rompas las bolas, con este grupo medio pelo.
You ripped off polka music already. Eat sand.
My favorite song on the impera album
Tobias mentioned he was aiming for that killer Def Leppard production and songwriting and I can actually hear that now, not aping them but shooting for Hysteria level production and he pretty much nails it, even Joe Elliot said he has this album on regular rotation now, that's gotta feel pretty good for them to hear that.
Ghost is totally on point with the hooks, melodies, and riffs here!
I called my cat Tobias because of you, cause he s smart and talented.
Another banger, the man does it again, bravo good sir! Love this album, so different
Anybody who shits on this album, do yourself and all of us a favor, remove yourself from the family, we don't need you
Tobias for this album and Prequelle is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. That stream last night was epic....people complained for only 4 songs, could of had nothing
Me neck hurts from all the head banging 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That harmonized arpeggiated guitar riff at the end…. Omfg! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥
An instant classic. This new album is epic in every. TF is proving to be THE prolific musician of modern times. Different genre of course, but almost reminds me of the run the Prince was on from 82-88. Could literally do no wrong.
Definitely my new favorite song rn hands down 👻🤟🏽👻🤟🏽
I can't pick which song is my favorite, this album is better than I expected! This one is gonna be HUGE live
This song is the banger to end all bangers. It's going to absolutely slay live.
We are all waiting for this song to be included in the European tour setlist
We really, really, really need it in the setlist for sure !
This one and darkness at the heart of my love 🫤 and we need respite on the spitalfields as the final song
Way more 80's I'd say!
80s
Ok, late 70's and early 80's
More like Metallica meets Ozzy Osbourne.
70s jajaja
At long last we have a new Ghost album!!
Listening to it on iTunes right now. This is epic!!
What a drumming and those Siren like guitars ❤
Getting a very big Blue Öyster Cult vibe from this song, very cool!
I thought the same with Cirice !!!
Best song on the album hands down, reminds me of an 80s action montage. Incredibly catchy with a great riff. Honestly think this is one of the best songs they've ever written
Best song on the alb- it’s not even released yet.
And each small release is better
@@alanabrams7693 what are you on about its released lol
Reminds me of "last dragon" from bruce Leroy...and a infomercial sales song.
Not bad...just blended...
For me, it's a toss-up between this and Griftwood
This is officially one of my top favorite Ghost songs!
Best song I’ve heard on this album so far
Every song they've made never fails to make me fold
The guitar riffs after the bridge take this song to a whole different level. And the wailing behind the outro is giving serious Dio vibes. Chefs kiss, this song is perfect.
Not close to Dio.
SEARCHLIGHTS!!!! Damn this is so incredibly catchy. Another total banger from Ghost!
The way they can make the trash and power metal vibes sound even better than a lot of legendary bands is insane. The musical range of this Ghost is on another level.
It begins oh my god thank you Tobias 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Papa to you
My mistake- hard to remember the manners when you’re so excited 😇
at first i didn't like this song, but now it's growing on me like crazy... this is drugs
I love the 'A-HA' reference.
the visualizer for this album is like a toddler sensory video for me im really just sitting here like 0_0
love ghost. Went to one of their performances during the tour. So glad they're still crankin out songs
Ooooooooof onions
Fuck me, this album is a banger. They've really outdone themselves on this one.
They NEED to play this live
