Oh Yes
I don’t get how shops can charge more than double is some cases for coating pieces of chicken in a batter or coating in a marinade 😂
Scoundrels spring to mind!
Anything marinated or coated is a complete tash rip, buy it with a full mexican, walk out with just bloodspots on your upper lip
Its the effort factor
Elvis may have left the building. But he's still here in our hearts ❤️.
Geez 14 minutes in a airfryer for chicken tenders is an awful long time. It's a fine line between a moist tender and a dry one. Maybe 10 minutes would have been long enough. I cook raw tenders 8 minutes then turn for another 2 and that's more than enough.
I think the cooking guide was purely that and not gospel.
O well the curry sauce was a let down anyway. You've had a pretty good run of late. Shame this one had to spoil the tally.
Nevermind.
Keep calm and curry on.
Cheers John 👍😀🤤
Thanks mate. I agree regarding the cooking times, I only follow the instructions so everyone can see what happens if they follow the guidance ;)
@@Papparoni Yeah I only ever use them to get an idea of approximate times and use my own judgement the rest of the way.
I bought a 3L, '9 in 1' Instant Pot. Good for those quick small jobs. Donated the heavy and bulky 6L Russel Hobbs slow cooker to the salvos along with the 3L healthy choice air fryer.
I will keep the electric 3L Singer crockpot slow cooker as a backup. It's boxed up and put into storage. A bit of a rotation and I'm settled on the combination of appliances. And the best thing is that everything fits the available cupboard space. 👍😀
Big Bird off of Sesame Street says....OMG
Oh my Darling.....I love you...And I'll always will.
Pap got a a new Girlfriend me asks?
Good grief I'd forgotten all about that Big Bird!
Now that sounds interesting! / Oh wonderful - but a tune, epic. And as always, really well played / Lol at the extended NAH factor. That was a munch at a half / Best left. Mark.
A proper disappointment this one chap!
Elvis is my favourite mate that was beautiful👌 oh and top review! 😉
Glad you enjoyed that one mate :)
Good Morning Papparoni, another excellent and honest review of this New Lidl product - from what you said and your reaction you certainly took one for the team here ! this is one I wont be buying - Lidl seem to have gone downhill recently with their ready meal products ! Have a great Sunday Mate :-)
Works both ways mate, I avoid stuff that you have slated :)
£3.29 is bloody expensive for that small portion 😏 Lidl by my findings is not often that great when it comes to meat BUT! considering that price for 300g of chicken fillets for an extra 70p you can buy 800g of Southern Fried Chicken pieces in Lidl and they are VERY, VERY NICE! i had some last night and you get about 5-6 pieces of juicy, succulent & tender chicken which is thighs and legs coated in a southern fried soft breadcrumbs and you only pay £3.99 for them and they are really decent "to the last bite" why don't you try them next? I guarantee you will not be disappointed with them
Cheers ninja, I'll make a note of them :)
not many there for that price, I notice prices have slowed down but the contents are becoming less 🤫🤔
Quite right Malcolm, it's called shrinkflation :)
HAHAHAH
Looked as dry as (insert favourite simile here), Papp.
Don't think they could even be improved with the customary salt and lemon juice treatment.
As a general rule, I tend to avoid any food with the word "style" on the packaging. ✌
'My nan' is what i tend to say Mat!
They were expensive for what you get, they look ok though if they were dry I'd add different sauce lol
Oh yes Sarah, Frank's Red Hot would be good on these things :)
@@Papparoni yes definitely 👍
I Have so much catching up to do. I have to be honest. I have been just pushing through the days without Harrietta. I pretend I am ok but I am not. She was like my therapy dog after I lost my Andrew. And she just made things ok. Now I don’t know what to do. I like to think Andrew is cuddling her and she is making him feel better. I like the Elvis music. I am going to try hard to keep up and I am sorry I haven’t been around.
No need to apologise Jerri, I understand what you're going through :)
I tried the Firecracker Chicken Burgers from the same range and they had hardly any taste or spice, I thought the actual chicken was pretty good though
I agree it was better chicken than a lot out there :)
Oh dear Papp... I've got to admit that when i first saw those Spiced Chicken Tenders... I really thought that you were onto a winner mate... But the look on your face was a picture... Even before you had said a single word... Now as it happens... Tonight i'm having the Asda Frozen 4 Hot & Spicy Chicken Breast Fillet Burgers 400g for £3.50... Now they're not the best Chicken Breast Fillet Burgers I've ever had... But they are good... And they have a decent amount of Spiciness to them... I'm also having them with the Asda Hot & Spicy Zig Zag Fries 750g for £2.25... I had a few of the fries last night with a bag of Young's Scampi... And they weren't bad at all... And you could tell that they had a nice Hot & Spicy coating on them... There were a few that were thicker fries than some of the others... Which meant that their bite was a little firmer than the smaller thinner fries were... But certainly nothing too offensive my friend... Anyway Papp... Many thanks for the review my friend... It's very much appreciated... All the very best... Cheers mate. 🍺
I thought they were going to be a lot better as well mate. I had to look zig zag fries up and realised it's an interesting way of saying crinkle cut :D
@@Papparoni 😂 Sorry mate... I used their terminology just incase someone wanted to look them up online... What i should've done Papp... Was type out... Asda Hot & Spicy Zig Zag Fries (Crinkle Cut Fries)... 😂👍
No worries mate, I enjoyed the adventure! :D
@@Papparoni 😂👍
It amazes me how they can make something so simple, so bad lol.
I get that jay, how hard can it be!
Bird street worries me....pigeon? 😂
Who knows!
Bummer that you copped a pup this time, sir. Catteroni would have probably turned her nose up at it as well.
Oh she wouldn't go near this thing with a bargepole!
Oh dear paps, that was an expensive waste. The huge variety of food products available these days are like the multi channel tv, lots of choice but watered down content. Bird Street? I think I'd prefer Stamford Street, the budget range at sainsbury's.
Good point regarding Stamford Uncle.
That chicken was certainly not cheep
Quite so Peter!
I won't bother with them I don't think they seem a bit expensive to me I'm thinking they could well be prison food going by the name
Hahaa, good one Ladd, I should've thought to say that!
Is 160g of the cheapest of meats chicken really worth £3.20? No you ain't cheap anymore Lidl. The people's supermarket my ar*e and it tasted like shut.
Nicely put Edward! :)
I had a terrible linkage in my brain to Big Bird out of Sesame Street, Bird Street, what a terrible name! Yeah it is like trying to be a pakora batter maybe?
Best description "No reshaped filth" Yes bang on, then NAH! Thank you our friend, I will stick to my cheaper farmfoods offerings...Oh wow, meh!
The poor chicken what a waste...
Indeed so Andy.
Nice music, shame about the 🐔
Usually the case eh Val!
Almost as disappointing as the recent political results 😂😂
Or indeed any political result!
What a load of rubbish Paps, clearly not as good as they looked!
A right let down Mr Atkinson!
