I'm confounded by Arbortech. I dropped over $1000 on their products after being so impressed by the videos. I am an accomplished luthier and woodworker, with decades of experience. I tried the Power Carver and almost instantly destroyed the piece I was working on. No control, horrible gouging and choking amounts of dust and debris; good thing I was outside! It was such a bad experience that I am loathe to try any of the other tools. I watch this video and it seems like some strange magic compared to what I have experienced.
Hey there @greenmanWood, we're so sorry to hear this! Honestly, we rarely get this kind of feedback on the tools and we'd appreciate the opportunity to talk you through a resolution, just let us know! Our Customer Support Team and/or Kev himself are available to help. Thanks.
I have little doubt the problem is with me, it's just that in all my years I've never experienced such a huge gap between what I've observed and what I can do.
Can you take us through how to make the custom jig that magically appears in one second; between 2:02' and 2:15'. It looks like without the special rotating jig making the dish would be extremely challenging. Even a simple sketch showing the application would be appreciated.
Hi there! You can find the all the details about the jigs via the link below: www.arbortechtools.com/au/what-s-happening/stories/the-power-carving-jigs-that-took-social-media-by-storm
Oh Jarah no wonder it finishes so well, I would love to have a piece as big as that. BTW when are we going to see an electric personal hovercraft please? Keep up the good and fascinating work!
OK yourve got me, I started collecting your gear number of years ago planning for retirement, that duly came and so did moving house & city and downsizing. I am now ready to start 'playing and at 2:12 what is that unit attached to the vacuum cleaner? I want I want please but cannot see it on your website.
