I bought some angled plastic picks to prevent scratches but after snapping off two I did as you and wrapped a metal pick and used a little painters tape on dash in case of my old man eyes and fingers.. Magic!
You make a lot of this stuff look easy. Like the guy who can do a backflip and it seems so easy watching but it’s experience.
Without your videos I never would have tackled hood struts, vents, rear seat delete (I’m an old man and can now barely straighten out :), the GT 350Alcantara wheel with paddle shifters. My pit bull knows a few new vocabulary words today.:)Very scary for me but video was life saver, and now GT359 starter button.
Tomorrow is the red shifter knob.

Bill - Thanks , I was super nervous but seeing you remove it with such ease inspired me , that I too can do it. I too uses a angles pick , WOW less than 40 seconds and off with thee old silver stock one. The new RED Start button looks killer ! Thanks again
I drilled a small hole in the button and hooked it out with a pick. No scratches at all. Red button looks killer.
can you upgrade from the base GT push buttons to the premium GT toggle switches?
It beat my ass for about 5 minutes. Then it just pops off. I dropped the F-bomb and got a scratch on my new dash. It looks really great.
Well, I WAS interested until I saw that the red button costs FIFTY dollars. For a quarter-sized piece of red plastic? Really? Thanks, but no, thanks. I'll keep my silver button.

That is much easier. I however did it the "long" way and it only took me about 30mins so it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
my mustang 2017 ecoboost radio and air buttons dont work in yhe front panel.. its fuse or replace panel?
Dudddde.. I don’t know how you do it Phill you make things looks so dang easy! I couldn’t take off the dang button at all in fact I scratched the trim 😢 I had it with it finally decided to took the whole thing out ( just upgraded to sync 3 so I was familiar with the steps) it was pain of the *** but had to do it.

Is the install the same if I want to put the red and silver one in my gt3500?
Yes the Shelby button removes and installs the same way, the only change is for the 2018 and newer Mustangs.
Will this work on the 2019 mustang gt as well?
Is there anyway to install the chrome switches onto the non-premium package versions?
My understanding is the whole panel is different but I cannot say for sure.
Bill Tumas Yea, I took a closer look and the buttons on my car seem much wider than these. It's a real bummer.
It would be cool if you guys offered custom start stop buttons for these cars. Maybe some aluminum variants as well if that's viable. Good video.
Gas & Brass plenty in other online retailers bio hazard symbols, skulls, transformers logos, etc....
Also....they make quality decals you can simply put over the stock button that show a custom design and still show the light up commands of start stop

No it will not, the 18 button is different.
Very much easier but all I did was spend $3 and got the layover decal. Looks exactly the same.

Yes it lights up just like the factory button.
make it $20 and People will buy it $50 for that is overpriced

I want the speedometer of the shelby gt350
Its 50 because its off of a premium model, and ford realized most guys who tune cars laugh at a mod this cheap. My list for my Ecoboost tune is 5,000+ dollars, so an extra 50 literally doesnt make me flinch at all.

Looks like the pick gouged the plastic surround :(
+scterka if you are careful you will not gouge anything, there is a small mark on the chrome surround but I did this 5-6 times before the video making sure it was repeatable.

Man, this did not work for me at all...
Patience my friend, I did it yesrerday with 2 small pick tools wrapped in electrical tape like he said. Worked great!
I gain 200 hp after the installation
Must have installed it wrong, it's usually good for 300 hp.
Its almost easier just to buy a GT350.....
