If it’s a GATF...I think your crazy putting it in the 4400! That tank is beautiful...you have such beautiful fish in that tank...and the GATF..will have a ball snacking on some!

I am amazed by the number of small cichlids in the 58.000 gallon tank!
It’s good to see Will is alive and well. We haven’t seen him in a long time.
You should just fence off a section of the shallow part in the 58,000 leave him in their for a couple month making sure he eats then can lift the fence out and hes free

3000 - Rather than weight the lids down, make with hinges on one side and a latch on the other.

I’m glad that a lot of the rescued fish are finding new homes in aquariums :)
But preparing to take in a new big fish is a real logistical challenge!
This update was such a tease and I loved it lol. The new platinum translucent catfish are putting on some weight, awesome quick flash lol.

Why don't you make tops for the 3000gal keep the tiger in there for a month or until he is eating very well and then just move him to the monster pool. If you stick him in the 4400 have to remove a bunch of fish to make sure he won't attack them and then eventually move him to the pool. To me it's easier to go from the 3300 to pool after a few months to make sure he's eating.. would the tiger go after the aro silver and sits ontop of the water
OR JUST USE REALLY THICK NETTING FOR A BIT

The 3000 i think may be a better bet like you said. You could build a 2x4 frame to fit those 3ft greenhouse panels into. That would add some weight and if you add hinges, you could attach it to the 2x6's in the back and lift it up and put a pole to hold it up when you want to get in...or even make a feeding port as well.

The monster African fish is a Goliath Tiger fish I think! I remember when you had one and I hope it does good.

I don't know Josh, I think you'd be better off putting him in that other tank and cutting lids. It sounds like less trouble and less risk. Or just put him in the pool pond. Can't wait to see this fish!!!
Putting it in the 3000 seems like a lot less stress on the fish in the 4400 since it looks like you're considering moving several of them. In addition to the ones you mentioned, I would be concerned about some of the relatively smaller cichlids in the 4400. Anyway, keep up the good work!

I’m not quite sure how that pool pond works but I think it’s absolutely beautiful.
Put it straight in the pool pond. This way it can work on that chiclid colony and be the predator it is.

You guys are smart and I'm sure you know what you're doing. If that fish is what I think it is, why risk putting it in a tank with other peaceful fish that could be torn apart or eaten by it. That might be a good vid for the likes of Zacks catchem all channel, but surely not for OFR...

I’ve kept both vatf and gatf. I was thinking if you took the pacu out of the 3000 and put him in there just to get him eating & then put him in the 58000. Either way can’t wait for the new video guys!!

Josh, just a thought. What if you use some plastic webbing that you see all over construction sites, its orange or black, Could fix it too the back part of the tank that is covered then stretch to the front and then secure it with hooks. What do you think?? I think you could buy it at Home Depot.

So you are looking to remove the tarpon, because there could be problems with another mid level dweller, but wasn't the tarpon also headed for the monster pond? I know that some say that Goliath Tigers need a species tank, yet I saw video of them living with Nile perch, which by the way would be another cool fish to add to the collection. I trust that you all know what you're doing though

What about putting it in to the stingray pool? If its what I think it is, I've seen them kept with rays and bass.
Don't the dolphin fish like to be in a group ? Maybe that is the issue. You might need a group of like 5.

Personally, I wouldn't risk a second move or the other fish in the 4400. I know you won't be able to see him/her as well as you can in the glass box, but I'd be putting him directly into the pool.

Maybe you need a group of the dolphins ....it seems they live in groups and maybe you try ghost shrimp to get him eating. Probably more plants would make him happy.
