Love the Vid, If you were outfitting the Premonition for an entropy build, and didnt have Unconventional systems as a factor, how would you fill those 7 abilities?
One of the things I liked about the Atlantis class is being and intel\Temp combo with a science seat not being attached to a specialization you can have up to 10 uncon triggers. I run mine with 8 or 9 it really spits out those universal console clickies.
Tip for the next video Stu, and yes, it will take a lot more time to create these videos. Maybe a part 2 for these type of videos where you go into more detail. - I missed for example the new Augur console. I'm using it and it is pretty crazy sometimes how well it works. - I also missed the scorpion fighters that you get from the legendary mogai. They have an temporal intergration. Using them will effectively instandly apply a full stack of entropy on your targets which is freaking amazing. - Exploring some amazing traits that work well with a specialisation is worthwhile investigating as well.
Thanks for the information. I have the Temporal Flight Carrier Enterprise from I think Discovery. I just do my best to run it. This info hopefully will help me do better.
the one issue I have with the temporal specialization is that it is handed out like candy, its like 'oh you get temporal, you get temporal, & you get temporal too'. Temporal should be restricted to either actual time ships (ie... ships that who's purpose and design is specifically meant to deal with time on a regular/daily basis like the wells, verne, and aeon shuttle) or full science ships (ie... science ships with a secondary deflector if the science ship does not have a sec def then it should only get temporal if it is a time ship as well). We see this with almost every ship in star trek tv or movies that has travelled though time (that is added to STO) whether accidentally or intentionally even if it has only ever done so once; the thought process is 'well you travelled through time so that automatically means you must be an expert of time and time travel so the ship gets slapped with the temporal specialization, time travel whether intentional or no should not make/mean a ship should be considered to be temporal and be given the specialization. All that being said the specialization is quite good and does pair well with the other specializations.
With there only being four ship specializations and with how many ships STO releases, yeah, temporal is going to get used quite a bit. But thats true with all of them.
@@Stu1701 very true I just wish a little more thought would go into deciding which specializations are giving to which ships and not just/solely based upon flimsy reasoning like 'well this ship travelled through time so bam temporal ship' regardless whether or not the ship meant to travel through time and/or if that was its purpose. Basically I think that the specializations a ship is given should be mostly based upon the role the ship is trying to fill/classification of the ship (ie... destroyer, cruiser etc...) with allowable exceptions where applicable. As for the limited number of specializations for ships I think would could benefit from having more to choose from & would be interesting to see if more specializations could be added, how the devs would go about doing something like that, the devs reasoning/in-game lore explanations, & exactly what those specializations would be.
Legendary NX is a great ship. I've said for a while that of the ships in the 10th Anniversary bundle, it one of the ship in there that's held up the best over the (nearly) five years since its release.
So basically, they created Unconventional Systems to make temporal useful on anything other than science ships, or not tits on a boar on cruisers, and a new meta was born.
I just saw a video hinting at the Shangri La coming to sto, OMG if the 15th us indeed a TMP bundle....they could make it bundle exclusive skin to the T6 light cruiser
I used to main an Exotic/Torp Fleet Nebula Class build, however ever since the Fleet T6 Oberth was added with the Temp Ops support clicky. I have had to dry dock my Nebula because the Oberth does everything the Nebula did only better with the support configuration clicky. I feel that the the older ships in the game need to be revamped because the power creep has made most of the original ships completely obsolete. The Oberth has pushed me over 400K Dps Pug runs where the Nebula tops out at 280K.
With how button-mashy sto is, I find temp to be too much overhead to really enjoy. Having to handle entropy and resource management on top of everything else can get annoying. I love the idea of temp but it (and STO in general) needs streamlining. TFOs right now are a constant faceroll up and down the keyboard from the second we enter combat until the TFO is done.
Skip entropy gimmick, temporal will be more enjoyable. Focus on one side.. -Spore & Electrified Anomalies -Recursive Shearing + concentrate firepower -Unconvention Systems Those are my 3 go-to for sci foundation. I'm sure tac or eng career as their own option's. 🖖

This is why I really like Temporal. The more you are in combat the more potent you become and that is something I find really fun to play with!
wwhich is why Temp/Intel is most potent and most rare

I was going to mention the Temp scorp fighters too. They are so good. But they'll be overlooked because of type 7s
A good insightful video covering Temporal Specialization.

I main the legend nx using the temp for survival and dps. I know there are better ships but as a long term ent fan i chose to use the nx for that.

Terran nebula wants to rorp+sad your location.
I got the Edison but haven't played around with it all that much I just did the mastery and that was that. Maybe I'll pull her back out of mothballs.

Command will be next because we know the Anniversary event ship will be a Command ship, but I can do Intel after that.
I only use the entropy mechanism on epg builds tbqh.
They definitely pack a punch though.
Whats the name of the track at the end? Sounds oddly familiar.

Nowadays temporal is used purely for uncon triggers or epg builds it feels like.
Also works pretty well on a DEWSCI build, like the Atlantis. Especially with single target builds like Beam Overload.
