I started training Muay Thai when I was over 300 lbs and in a really dark place. I started in November and on my birthday in April my coach stopped the class to sing me happy birthday. I'll never forget how excited he was saying "This guy came in here and transformed into a completely different person, his physique changed, he's completely changed, he's going to a great fighter." Learning this about Kahlil makes me respect him way more.
Muay thai saved my life also another guy who came from really dark place and lifestyle of muay thai switched me back to my track I hope I can someway give back to sport what it gave me

@rawyouout When Khalil beat Jamahal. We will probably see Roundtree vs. Ankalaev matchup. For Alex? Well, he might as go up to heavyweight and go fight Jon Jones
I've been working out for two months. I've seen weight loss, and once you get the ball rolling with your weight loss journey, it becomes easier and easier. Trust me, I never thought I'd make it this far, and I still have a long way to go. This is only the beginning of my weight loss journey
Seems like the start's the hardest part haha. Trying to be consistent is hard when you've been a lazy piece of shit your whole life. But I'm gonna fuckin drop this weight.
My mma journey started nearly 3 years ago when I faced “the real world” meeting manipulative girlfriends, intimidating roommates, and believing I wasn’t any good. After almost taking my life I told myself I had to change my mentality or else I would die. I did and about a year later I fought an ammy fight, and 7 months after that I seriously dedicated myself and eventually broke my arm. I didn’t stop, I just kept going so I wouldn’t fall back into the pit. Now I’ve competed dozens of times in various martial arts, I have many friends from this community, I get to coach and corner people, and I have a girlfriend who supports me. Whatever you do, don’t let failures define you bc we all have ups and downs. Tell yourself you’re gonna get the next best thing and give it your heart. I was in a major depressive episode for those 3 years but I guarantee you that it’s all worth it and id do it again if it meant understanding more from the journey.
I didn’t do it using MMA but 12 months ago I was 320 pounds, I am now 205. I didn’t believe in myself and disliked my life quite a bit. Things change, problems pass, but you always have to look at yourself at the end of the day. Be proud of what you are looking at.
Khalil is another source of motivation. I've just been watching my calories and lifting. I used to be in good shape before the pandemic, but prior to 2018, I was in bad shape. Now I'm in worse shape. I intend to fix it. I never wanted to be close to 300lbs. Now my clothes are ripping. I'm almost 2 months in and the results are pretty interesting. My strength is back, but I'm pushing myself and sweating. My diet changed mostly, gotta keep changing and adjusting. It will be slow, but steady and worth it. I also want to graduate from college in 2025.
These motivational videos are great! I'm 37 and looking to lose weight. I've actually been running consistently since my early 20s, doing it 4 times a week now. Surprisingly, the weight loss hasn't come as easily as I expected. My main focus is on improving my stamina, with weight loss being a secondary goal.
I’ve lost weight 2 times 190 to 140 the first time took me 6 months, then I injured my back turned into a lazy bum ballooned up to 220 2nd Time losing weight I got down again to 140 in 3 months with dieting and running every damn day. 2 years ago I got into a motorcycle accident I ballooned up again to 240 I’m currently 1 month in to working out I’m down to 217. It’s not miserable I love it i feel like a fucking god seeing the weight just drop with discipline and hard work knowing I have done it 2 times before
my baby cousin fights for the one fc and some of his friends/teammates for the ufc and he said many of them run like 5-10 miles everyday (5 regularly and 10 for fight camps) and that's just a warm up for warm up everyday thats how these fighters are in shape
another good way to get the ball moving is to start walking. do that till you get bored with it then start doing stairs. Stair machines are good, but real stairs are what made me shred weight. Just make sure you dont do too much so that it ruins your momentum. Good luck
after Tony and the Diaz brothers, Khalil is actually my favorite fighter I'd say bro came out looking like a fkin Thai man, shit was like my first bought UFC card and he delivered a masterclass super cool fuckin dude, love this guy
I think Khalil Roundtree discovered something that a lot of consistent and professional fighters discover about fighting. I think he found out that it could save his life.
I was heavy in high school (260+ lbs) but could play it off because I threw shot put. A few years out I was still big but not really working out anymore. My moment came when I was tying my boots for work and my gut was getting in the way and made breathing difficult. It didn't turn around all at once but I slowly started building the good habits (drinking water everyday, walking more). I knew I had to add those things slowly or I'd just give up or get overwhelmed. All that to say, be honest with yourself and do it how YOU need to, not how you think others would do it. Some people can flip the switch, others are slow starters. Either way, just focus on always moving forward
I assumed he was always jacked. This is pretty motivating to see that when you put your mind to something you can completely transform yourself. I bet his friends who doubted him are amazed at the beast he became.
32 weight has been up and down since my 20s, 2 years ago I got up to 270 and got down to 220 in less than a year walking daily and jogging, since then I’ve jumped back to 260 and I’m excited to start my journey again, I wish everybody luck

Hes right about it motivating you when people notice youre changing. At 19 i was 280, granted i was 6'5 so it didn't look that bad but still. I started working at UPS and that thing was brutal. Imagine being stuck in an oven for 7 hours loading boxes, thatll make you lose weight. I did that for a couple months and one night i was talking to my uncle amd he looked at me and said "mijo are you losing weight?" I hadmt noticed myself so i said "i guess". Im 37 now been lifting and eating right and im comfortably at 230. It does help when you have people motivate you but sometimes you gotta motivate yourself.
@@Brandon-tz5pn I mean maybe you wont make ufc but is it really a excuse to not train? I think everyone (no health/physical issues) who is interested in martial arts should pick one and start training, maybe try different ones down the road. its good for body and the head.
I had this moment, I was playing with my kids and I could feel the aches and pains. I was 225lbs and went all the way down to 180lbs. Commitment to yourself. I have to make a choice.
My moment was watching body cam footage of the police officer who shot the Allen outlets active shooter. Here was a man who responded in a way I think we all wish we would, heard and sees what happening and takes action immediately, unfortunately due to the area he’s in it’s really hard to discern where the shots are actually coming from, so he takes off on what is essentially a fully kitted out 5-6 min run towards the sound of gunshots. Luckily he was able to get there and do what needed to be done, but right before the footage cuts when his back up shows up you see him take a long hard sigh and sit down in exhaustion. I realized I had just witnessed a man reach his physical limit in an act of bravery, and no matter how hard he tried his body was going to fail him and that terrified me. I’ve since cleaned up the diet, cut back on the booze, and started CrossFit.
I have lost and gain weight countless of times and I'm 30. Right now I'm 235. I was 250. My goal is 180. You have to eat less and better. Food is 80%. Losing and gaining weight between years is bad for your health. Take the long term view. Build life long habits
Combat sports are the biggest HACKS to lose weight. Most people go to the gym as fitness for their main goal without focusing on progression. Combat sports, any sport really but combat sports does it better imho, makes you forget completely about fitness and you will focus entirely on progression, fitness will just be a byproduct. I lost over 20 pounds over 6 months of MMA (and lots of running). I can’t stress it enough. Find a gym that you like and go! Nothing beats the feeling of seeing improvements in your technique, having better rounds or just being able to perform better at every class. You will forget you came to lose weight, and you will focus solely on being a better martial artist. Trust!
Well unfortunately, some people just can't master the discipline thing. I've never struggled with anything in my life like I have with discipline. It's hard doing the same thing day in, day out.
Don't do the same thing every time then. You are attracted to variety, nothing wrong with that. Think of fun stuff that just happens to give you good exercise, like hiking in beautiful places. I like juggling devil sticks, gardening, and biking. I also like intermittent fasting. For whatever reason it works for me because it's a not-doing, not a doing. It simplifies my morning, no food, just some liquids to get the bowels moving. I keep with it because eating in the morning makes me feel worse than fasting. So many subtle benefits aside from the bodyfat control.
You’ve just gotta do something until you see results. Start weight lifting and keep doing it until you feel yourself get stronger. Start running and do it until you feel yourself feeling less out of breath and going further. Fight and do it until you notice that you’re beating people. Once you see the results you become addicted - you only need the “discipline” for like 3 months, then you become an addict.
I have already lost the weight and I am a healthy weight thats the hard part when you dont do the losing weight part the right way and just run to lose it and you are now slimmer but still out of shape skins hangin still a lot of bodyfat ofc not in the arms your arms are skinny u look normal with a t shirt but when u take it off u look like shit

I hate when people act like being fat and a druggie is some terminal disease or birth defect they were cursed with. lol literally just eat healthy and do the work
It’s kind of pathetic tbh, but it’s also modernity. Society didn’t create this many weak fat slobs in the past, but it is what it is now. It’s nice to see people cleaning up their acts.

why? since 2021 he won 5 bouts in a row. this didnt age well because of the banned substance? well look at jon jones it looks like you can bounce back from anything in mma.
@@mtuncrr no he got popped for PEDs
The substance wasn’t even a PED, and it was an accident.
@@frozenmallet09accident possibly, but it was still a PED.
@@JoshuaSmith-no9mnDHEA is naturally made by the body. It's found in some supplements. Even at walmart.
step 1: be a juice head
more like how to get caught cheating using steroids
DHEA is not a steroid and he did not get caught.
He found out what was in his supplement and he contacted the ufc to let them know what happened.
Lol this is ridiculous. Anyone that trains in thailand is on roids.
He changed with roids.
also remember - looking at striations on skin , the dude is obviously taking something to help him thru that rhythm.
Because steroids magically make you lose weight, lol. Also, I see stretch marks from him being fat.
U did a good job on this video Pavi. I promise I’ll sub to you if I see this same effort In ur next video regardless of tha topic
For fat ppl or addicts it’s obviously not that simple. You can say that to anybody about anything.
@@themarathoncontinues4211it really is that simple though, however simple does not mean easy
@@GoHnjk I agree, but you are clearly smart enough to know what I meant judging off ur reply bro.
@@themarathoncontinues4211 it’s fun to be a bastard on the internet
