Better to put a 4' slide out at rear to make a bed with roof or kitchen with a 1/2" plywood, to make it more spacious. Need a stand to support it. Layered with fibreglass or canvas if budget., It can be waterproof without breaking the bank.

And is it legal to install side/back ladder on the van? Because to access open the tent i need to go up to the roof, just wondering the legality for the side/back ladder.

BUT closest to the City if you are a newbie is Kampung Nelayan Teluk Kemang Port Dickson. Bright with lights at night and many other campers so you will feel safe. Also has facilities for shower and toilets.
May I know estimate cost if wanna do van camper? I mean from the beginning. Not including van prices. Other things I realised that our country doesn't have high roof van model like in State or Europe side.
We have some Singaporeans fans who have started ther van builds so it is possible. Just get a Malaysian vehicle n convert it. Your journey will be from Malaysia out anyways.
