We need to guide them, young immature mind looks at the world in the different way, it's our duty to guide them. When you let a sapling to grow on it's own, it will grow stunted and twisted; when you give it a support, it will grow well. It is just support should not be suffocating, but gentle and with care.

About Sadhguru I sometimes thought that a guru should not have opinions about society, science, economics and politics, but today I really admire his willingness and courage to be a man of his time without giving up the traditional values of his country's culture . Indeed! Most school children wear synthetic material based school uniform every single working day. These materials are Mass manufactured and parents are compelled to buy from a particular shop for the exact shade and pattern selected by school. Health of school going students is sacrificed for the sake of commerce. Awakened and aware parents should pressure the schools in doing away with synthetic materials for uniforms.

Pranaamams to Sadhguru 🙏🏼. Now as schools have reopened in Chennai I was at a cloth shop to buy and stitch uniforms for my child. Being a fan of cotton myself, when I asked for cotton material to shopkeeper he only had poly-cotton. He challenged me saying there are no options available in cotton for school uniforms. I stepped out and looked for a cotton/linen option but believe me, I didn’t find one store where I could get it. I took two days and looked in seven stores. This is in Chennai (Adayar, Besant Nagar, Tambaram, Medavakkam) areas. Even if many would love to opt for cotton, it isn’t available, at least in the school uniforms category. If any staff from the Ministry of Textiles (India) is reading this, humbly request something to be done on this. Thank you 🙏🏼.

Now a days, Khadi shops are selling poly cotton shirts.
100% cotton needs extra care than poly cotton.
You can buy cloth with maximum composition of Cotton >80% and Polyster < 20 % for longer life.
You can try at Ramraj cotton shop for 100% cotton materials.

The problem with this is that it deteriorates and doesn't keep it's shape well. I bought it for a while and have stopped now, as the garment would not last beyond two years at most. Holes would appear as well as it being dragged out of shape by it's own weight causing areas to appear thinner and transparent.

I am so grateful Sadhguru is addressing this issue. I continue to shop for vintage 100% cotton jeans & linen shirts & pants in the USA at thrift stores. I want nothing to do with poly fiber clothing. It wares out so fast & it's so toxic. Even as a child, I disliked the feel of it. I lean more & more toward natural fibers, even if I have fewer pieces of clothing, I want them all to be of natural fibers. That goes for my sheets too. Not easy to find 100% cotton sheets. I've been using a 100% linen tablecloth which I bought at auction as a top sheet. I also hang my clothing to dry outside on a clothesline. Thank you grandma for washing your laundry this way & teaching me how to also.

Cotton is the most comfortable but at the same time polyester clothes are everywhere and i don't think they will really have much of a mental impact on people after a certain age. a lot of exericise gear has polyester in it, it makes it more durable or stretchable, etc such as nike or puma. allows to have different textures in one piece also, such as collar made of polyester or one part of the sleeves, while most is cotton. most have 80 20 percent cotton to polyester or 70 30. however, if you notice childrens clothes are cotton in the schools. it is probably for reasons sadghuru says, of comfort and better energy

So if you buy usual cotton clothes they are also mixed with a lot of chemicals. Real organic clothes are hard to find nowadays, in modern urban places! Her ornament, her hair style and her sari shows she has a class and on top she is gorgeously beautiful. I agree with Sadhguru. We should buy Indian manufactured (cotton & silk) cloths. From here onward that's what I'm doing it.

To get rid from recycling of plastic bags,i would say we can squeeze the bottle and place the cap in the bottle to make sure that if someone tries to reuse that bottle he/she can't take the cap out of it.

How much we fond of nature, nature includes us as a part of it. Hand looms are the best ones. Atleast thrice a week we could wear cotton clothes. Once you get used to cotton clothing, there is no way back you choose polyesters.. Cotton is natural.. Mother Earth will love you.

This is so true. We all should be wearing natural fabrics. It is terrible for the economy and for our bodies. Most people don't know what is even in the clothing that they wear.
