Rather than have him look for love, he should look for a single parents club and then you could explore play dates for kids! Have his focus being more about the kids and he maybe is friends with the neighbors but his sole focus is family not love.

Erika C. YES!!! That would be a good relaxing change compared to the drama filled Hampton Falls that just finished
Single parents club opens it up for him to find someone that cares about their family as much as he does. They can be friends for a while and then when the kids are old enough .. they can try to get them together so they can be siblings - kinda like the movie “it takes two”.
It would be neat to have him meet an ace person or infertile person after dating another single parent because he thought that would work but it wasn't quite right?
I love that the dad is from Pakistan! You can add more diverse holidays such as Ramadan and eid which is usually celebrated by people from Pakistan
Can we just appreciate the cultural diversity Deli tries and puts in her Let's Plays, please? A lot of simmers have mainly white casts of characters and it's really upsetting that no one else has tried and made their worlds more diverse which is kind of what The Sims Team tries to do with their games. I'm not trying to crap on all white casts, but I feel like we're in a day and age where diversity should be the norm, where characters from different backgrounds and traditions and heritages should be explored. I know I can't force anyone to put representation in their stuff for representation's sake, but I love how Deli does it and I think it encourages a lot of us to do the same because we live in a world full of colors and cultures and sexualities and that should be celebrated as much as possible. Love you so much, Deli, keep up the amazing work!

I try really hard to make my worlds diverse in the sims. I love playing with mixed couples... Right now in my playthrough, I have mix couple meeting as teens. From there the Girls mom is Asian, white father. The boys mom is Native American and father is African American. They look so cute together and they both love music. (Pianist and Violinist). I don't really record any of my gameplay just cause I don't feel like I would be interesting :(
I can not speak for TH-camrs but i know in my games i play all sorts of backgrounds i think it adds style(not sure if that's the word i was looking for) to your gameplay i dont watch many simmers but i like that the ones i do watch do that

I was casually studying and listening to the video, when i suddenly hear "PAKISTANI", it feels so good to have one's representation in any platform when there isnt so much awareness. I hope it really follows the cultural aspect of the Pakistani community. Deli I have been a fan of yours for a while but today I feel loved and respected by you for this.

I had a good friend in high school who was from Pakistan and we used to talk about his culture allllll the time. It sounds and looks like an absolutely beautiful culture.

Seriously, I think Simmers don't really explore single parent life all that much. It's a very underrepresented demographic. There is also a lot of stigma around single parents. It's always a Sim going to find their true love and having kids. There's nothing at all wrong with that scenario, in my opinion, don't get me wrong, but seeing a single parent in a Let's Play is extremely refreshing! Reminds me of my Mom; single parent and raised three of us! Bless her. Can't wait to see the first episode, Deli!!!

That's awesome. Like I said, we need more willingness like that do play a single parent in the community. Glad some people have done it already though :)
I always make family's with only a mom and children because I'm not good at making mans that look okay😂

You gals should do an LP Crossover: you each exchange LP characters and chat about your episode, featuring the crossover characters/storyline on each others channel.
I like this kind of "introduction video". You should do this in the future :)
I saw the shower, but isn't a bathtub needed for bathing toddlers? Or did you change it and I missed it, that's possible.
Also, the best thing to do would be to visit a local library or bookstore and talk to one of the librarians or clerks about which books you've liked in the past, and they should be able to recommend other options for you to try out.
Myself, I generally recommend books by Tamora Pierce, Diana Wynne Jones, Rick Riordan, Terry Pratchett, Phillip Pullman, E.D. Baker, Kristin Cashore, Gail Carriger, and Tanya Huff (I have others but they're the ones off the top of my head). The latter two and Pratchett have more "adult" books, though both Pratchett and Carriger have a series under the YA section, which is also how Harry Potter and the Hunger Games are classified. Most of the books are fantasy-style fiction. Pratchett has a more distinct sense of humor - I feel that if you liked Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, you'll probably like Pratchett.
But again, I always recommend checking with someone who works with books, because they'll often have more ideas, and have them on hand for you to browse.

Always happy to help! It was one of my favorite parts when I used to work with books years ago.
Another option is checking something like Goodreads or other sites that will give you lists for "if you liked X then here's others" or "people who've read X also liked this". Sometimes authors will even have their own recommendations on their websites or blogs.
YES. I'm so excited that you did a single dad and not a single mother. My fiance is a single dad and the mother is not really in the picture much. I love this.

You didn't put hampers in the bedrooms. (Yes, I did see the hamper in the bathroom.) The Sim Guru's recommend at least one hamper per sim in the household so you're not doing laundry daily.

Idk about you, but in my house, there's 1 basket per individual in my real life house. Even the kitchen and bathroom has it's own "basket".
xGhostGaming Yeah... where are you getting 'most families' from? We are a three person family and we have 3 hampers, one in my room, one in my parents room and one in the main bathroom..

oh, every house I have been to has just had one hamper in the laundry room or landing so I just assumed that was the norm. Ignore me x

I am so excited for this LP! And I was thinking, maybe his daughter doesnt't really see or understand everything her dad does for them, so she might feel like he doesn't care much about them. I would imagine being young and having to take care of a little sibling, while the parent is always working or busy with other stuff (even just little things like laundry) might be really overwhelming and stressful and maybe she kind of takes it out on her dad or distances herself when she's a teen? Like she accuses him of "robbing her of her childhood" and not caring about or loving her. Not because she is a bad person, but simply because she doesn't know any better, since she is still really young. This could also means she could "redeem" herself when she gets older... idk something like that might be fun

This is exactly how my kitchen is setup IRL. It’s not awkward for us! I was watching and it made me want to try and recreate my real house. I’ve never thought to do that til she made a similar layout to my kitchen.
I want this family to be so chill like VERY CHILL with some drama but not very much
My dad was a single father of my brother and I. I am super excited to watch this LP. I never got along with my dad's girlfriends as a kid and teen. I even got into a fight with one. My dad kicked he out the same day. Finally when I turned 18 I found out he was dating my (now) step mom. She is he best thing that has ever happened for our family. 😀
I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS LP! I love the aesthetic of the rundown lived in apartment. Also i think that because like you said, deli the family came from pretty much nothing that the dad should be really warm and loving, this would also contrast with there mom who is mean and strict.

OMB I cant WAIT!! Love all your LP's. I am a life time simmer since SIMS ONE! so yeah I'm old :D But I love to see that some one loves the Sims as much as we do. and you are helping my husband I learn to be ok with our Sims being dead. HA! thanks for the great content.
I do agree on the thoughts of the little girl becoming independent and becoming into a regelious one cause I feel that coming from a single parent family, and having two kids can be stressful and often the parent has to give more attention to the younger one for that reason it can make the older child having to do things on her own, help out but also feel left out and alone cause she doesn’t receive the attention one desires to, and it’s something I personally dealt with which it lead me to depression during my teenage years even suicidal since I had a lot of problems during middle school, and whenever I would go to her for advice she wouldn’t help me out so I just became a shut in and made myself keep everything to myself which it made it harder. Idk if this helps of some sort of inspo or anything but I figured I would share my thoughts. All sincerely I feel like this new let’s play is going to be a rollercoaster cause so far from everything ya mentioned even about the grandparents and how is it it’s literally has similarities to my story when I was younger. I’m really looking forward to this let play
I love the book "they both die at the end"; it's an easy and really nice book to read and I think you'll really enjoy the story!

my dad is a single dad. i’m the oldest daughter and i have a little brother. this lets play is extremely realistic and it makes me superrrrr happy💓. i am usually in charge of dinner, cleaning the house, getting my brother to school etc etc. what you said about the sister (being independent and but getting the impression she can do what she wants) is so true and realistic. great job deli💕

Also, Deli, I am a total bookworm. Books are my life. I'd recommend to just go to your local library or book store and look around for a book that captures your attention. That's what I do. Find time to read, and I'm sure you'll find more books that you enjoy. 😄

I never use a high chair. I just leave a plate of food on the counter for the toddler to grab.

my mum was a single mum, bringing me up since 18 during uni with no money. we havent always gotten along (people forget how much pressure this situation can put on families) but i am so proud of how strong and resilient she has always been for me. im so happy to see this demographic in focus!
I'm growing up with my mom as a single parent, since my dad passed away when I was six, so it makes me so so so happy to finally see this representation in LPs. My family also struggles financially, so it's going to be nice to finally see something I can really relate to. Very much looking forward to the upload tomorrow.

This brand-new LP sounds fantastic. I love the back story to this family and how they're going to be living, as well. The apartment remodel was cute, too. I started my own game in this apartment, and while it was nice, did not remodel it as much as you did, so it makes me want to go back and start a new family there.
Hey Deli! I started adding family dinners into my game every Sunday using the calendar. I found it was a way for me to make sure I see my sims family each week! It has really changed my game for the better :)

Deli! I’m super excited for this LP! For the glitched window, you could pretend as if the window was smashed when the previous tennant lived there and nobody really bothered to replace it and just bricked it up instead!

As a child from a divorced family, regarding how the children 'should be' - i never really was rebellious and knew i needed to help out, especially do best in school so the single parent has less to worry. At least thats how i felt about it

Regarding the glitched window: we can just imagine that's the view from that window - the apartments are so close together that you would feel like you could almost touch the wall of the building next door.

My sister and I are so excited for your new Let's play! We are from Australia and are on holiday in Europe, while we were walking around today in France all we could talk about what your new LP would be about! We love all your videos and this let's play looks so good and I love that there are other relatives for the family to interact with!
Also I think having her own room would enable the girl to rebel more (maybs painting her room all black or something😂) and having your own space is super important and I think it would be great - especially if she has to take care of her lil bro a lot
I feel like the dad would be one of those dads that are always happy and funny and, I think the toddler would be sort of fussy and the child would be helpful and do really good in school.

This apartment actually looks so good!! I think you managed the less wealthy look but it's still really gorgeous. My apartments never look this good. Excited for the story line too!! It's so endearing. I would love to see Awan as a great father. Also book recommendation since you love Harry Potter: Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Very similar and a great book!

If you ever need a book to read a really good one is "I Will Always Write Back"! Its a true story about an American girl and her pen pal in Zimbabwe! Its really really interesting, and you were saying you like stories of people who come from nothing and then get everything (which is definitely this book)

Edit: Here is a fact, in the Victoria time people used to brick up there windows so they didn’t have to pay the window tax. Maybe they live in Victorian times (maybe they are time travelers) jk, but I think that’s a cool connection !! 💗
Personally I want him to be this really strict over protective dad but I think he has a major fear of his children leaving to go to their mum so he's really chill and calm and not to strict. Love this LP so far!!!
After Hampton Falls I didn't know if I would want to start watching another LP just yet, but I am all for this one! My mom was a single parent and raised my brother and I in a small 2 bedroom apartment as well so I can already connect with the struggle and love! Way to go Deli! You could always divide the girls corner in the room from her brothers with a divider, or a half wall, or even a whole wall. She would have to walk through her brothers space to get there, but it could feel more private as she ages!

I feel like he'd be the type of parent that lets most things slide to make his kids happy I think when the kids get older they would probably want a lot of things that he'll let them have or do so that they wouldn't be upset which could be good for the storyline maybe the kids would end up spoiled and dependent on their family ❤️

Been a single mum to my two baby’s who are 14months apart. So daughter was 14 months when my son was born, he was also born at 28 weeks gestation so had so much more to deal with then the norm, shit was hard. My son has autism but is such a babe and my daughter is such a lil sweetheart. So proud of them. Now I’m with my new bf and happy as but I’ll never forget the struggle of doing it alllll alone 💕
