I have done a regression analysis on a dataset, but due to the way the data is, one of the variable is getting a negative coefficient in the final equation. Eg. Y = aX1 - bX2. But I know for sure that the variable X2 has a positive effect on Y. So, my question is: What to do when your regression or correlation analysis gives you a coefficient which is either of opposite sign or of low magnitude but you theoretically know that for sure the variable has a positive and a strong influence.please help
how come when i do this i get n-1 observations even if i clicked n observations? for example i have 10 observations but it says 9 and each x has a corresponding y value?
Does someone knows how excel computed the adjusted R^2 when using this regression analysis? I actually tried using the formula, but it gives a different value. Thanks
When selecting the Values, Do Not Select Column “A”. For the 1st range of values Only Select the data in Column “B”, For the 2nd range of values Only Select the data in Columns “C, D and E”.
