Yep. Our neighborhood. That's my Pops, Bennie. Although this video brought back a flood of memories and made me cry, I'm thankful you documented it and posted it.
This is just a glimpse of how strong Mother Nature is and how the community came together to help and care for each other.
So many people came together. This was so devastating, sad and humbling and I will never forget and be forever grateful to everyone. Texas strong.

I still cannot believe the devastation, so widespread and severe. Thank you for documenting what happened in our neighborhoods here.

Ray-iLife's crazy! I lived in Norchester, knowing it could happen again but not this badly

One of my co workers lived and lives at 5:27 with the American flag on top of the pile
It’s crazy how much water came through there,
Belleau woods just to the east of there has a lot of vacant homes to this day

I'm from Crosby I actually started watching your videos for the camper build. The flood was definitely crazy. In 1 hour it went from ankle deep to knee deep water. we had went to the shelter they had at the school and it was so packed, so many people running around like crazy, lots of homeless people peeing in the floor of the bathrooms and just over all making a mess it was so bad me my wife and new born went back to the house with no power and water inside, it really is crazy going thru something like that, it really brings out the best and worst in people. But like I say every day above ground is a good day, as long as your breathing it could be alot worse luckily our place was high up enough that the water only went a few inches in but I have lots of friends and family who's houses were completely covered to the roof

shawn, this is my parents neighborhood. They were lucky but there were 80 homes that flooded. My best friends parents home had 7ft of water in the first floor. We spent a week gutting the entire first floor. I was at my parents house during the storm and we got woken up by the neighbor at 4am. The last remaining exit from the neighborhood was 1.5ft under water. We made it out but had no where to go. Spent a day and a half sleeping in our cars in the mall parking lot until the water receded enough to return to their home. I will never forget this experience. A year and a half later and their neighborhood is finally getting back to normal. Thanks for watching!

That was my house at 5:27... we were rescued 3:30am by boat at our front door... my old coleman lantern was the only thing lighting that whole corner for hours..

Tiara pretty much everywhere within a mile or so from the San Jacinto river flooded during Harvey.
