Diane Parry has the potential to be one of the best on clay in the upcoming years. Although she lost, she played great. 🔥 Congrats to Belinda for the win!
First time watching Parry...she is great,love her slices and the one handed backhand.
She defeated Krejcikova in R1 in Roland Garros. Then she impressed me. Also she went to R3 in Wimbledon, where she lost from Ons.
Parry very talented, but she was opening the backhand side a bit too much . Bencic is stable on both sides. Love it when bencic steps in with her backhand, she has the complete game... she just wasn't there yet in the first set....
Glad for Bencic. Great win for her. Congrats. It's about time! Parry was impressive. Congrats to her too, for her lovely playing. Her backhand reminds me of Golubic's wonderful and flowing backhand. Just so nice to see.
Actually, to me, it's more reminiscent of her compatriot Gasquet's backhand. I'm still amazed by how Parry lost this match - this was definitely hers for the taking. It seems Belinda's stamina has kicked in, now that her work on her physique is clearly visible. Prior to today, BB would have lost this match for sure.
I am a Bencic fan, but it's Parry's game that catches my eye. She not only possesses a graceful one handed backhand, but her forehand is heavy with spins. She would definitely benefit from developing a reliable net game to help her ground positioning.
Came to know of Parry after her 1st round win against Krejcikova at RG this year. Diane's strong suit is definitely clay, however, that's not to say she can't progress on other surfaces. I feel her hesitation to come to the net regularly might be out of fear of being outplayed by lobs, something Kerber did against her a couple of months ago. In addition to a well-balanced game, she also possesses an unruffled, almost mysterious persona. A player to watch henceforth, alongside Jule Niemeier.
Belinda is one of those classic players she never gets old

It wasn't really 40-40, the score display was wrong. She was serving from/to the ad court, so it was really advantage Bencic
Have you noted that slice and spin on Bencic serve? This is a change and not effective

Parry : great Justine Henin-like talent but inefficient. Many short balls Bencic pounced on and Diane seems hesitant to attack fully. She needs a little Jimmy Connors/Serena Williams hate of losing if she wants to be among the top five... Even Leylah Fernandez has more "drive" than Diane despite not being as talented and that has to change for Parry if she wants to make a significant career as a tennis pro.

There is a reason Dianne Parry will nevrr get to the next level. She cant hold a lead or see out a match! She was 1 set and 4- 1 up today against a player ranked outside top 200 and lost. The worst player on tour!
