More Great Battles, please. I have come to appreciate that War Thunder Sim is a much different game than their other modes, but GB still seems more like the real thing, particularly to watch. I have to admit that the simpler engine management is appealing in War Thunder, not having to manage engine speed, mixture, boost, radiators etc in many planes.
Learned this from U.S. Coast Guard helicopter pilots first: your two best friends are altitude and airspeed. Not intuitive that it applies in helicopters almost as much as fixed wing, but it does. (Not a pilot myself, two-dimensional navigation being quite enough.)
How are you spotting contacts in VR since I am with the Varjo Aero and keep getting jumped badly on combat box when Im constantly checking my 6. Thanks
I always forget to turn the recording on. It only holds so much too and shuts off. Both are annoying. This is why my IL2 videos always lack replays. :) // Der Sherrif was playing about the same time as you were on the Finish Server. He and his crew were all flying Spitfires. Was any of the Spitfires you shot down Sherrif?
@@TeaRexChannel That would be fun. Considering Der Sherrif spends half his time running away and leaving his teammates to die. I unsubscribed from his channel for years because of that crap. I resubscribed a few months ago and again I am appalled at his cowardice.
@@r.c.a.f_lynx9992 but have you asked my team mates about that? lol in the end its all free entertainment, if you like it watch it, if you don't, don't.
Hi there, I have just bought Operation Bodenplatte Premium at discount (also bought FC3 for DCS). Planning to migrate form Warthunder. Do you have any optimized settings tutorial for VR for IL-2 like you have for war thunder (which actually made me a VR pilot couple of months ago)? Those 2 green counters top right. Which one is FPS? I hope it is not the top one? But the bottom one is fixed to 105 which is odd for FPS numbers. We have similar systems so If you have any tips for set up I'd appreciate it a lot.
The top one is FPS. But that's because the game struggles with that particular server in VR for some reason. I get higher FPS on other multilayer servers. I'm working on a VR setuo video now. But the best thing I can recommend looking at this link for a start - www.gamersbynight.com/il2-vr-settings-optimization/
As far as I know, TrackIR is best for combat effectiveness, VR has the main advantage of offering the best immersion. Wolfpack did a video about Delanclip which appears to be a good low budget alternative for TrackIR ($45 vs $170, th-cam.com/video/7XiPEemKVkE/w-d-xo.html) and he seems pretty positve about it. I have no experience with it myself, but maybe this is useful for you.

Didn't tangle with them in that game. But I have had the pleasure of dogfighting Sheriff before :)

nice channel name
What's the cheapest tracking gear would you recommend to someone starting out? On a low end system I5, ,1050 16 GB of ram ?
I'm curious
Depends on your budget. If you google DIY head tracker there are lots you can build on a cheap budget.
