Damn that car's pretty. The paint is so bright, like it has more metal in it than usual. And the rims are nice, they match well and are not too tacky. Super-clean underneath, too! Damn!
I agree. But, in 1991 it was awesome, here we are almost 20 years later and its still a fun car to drive and looks great. I wish Honda would come out with a new version that had 123hp per liter!
a red one maybe 90-91 just drove down my street, i heard it out the window and went to go see what it was definitely didnt expect to see an NSX...now im here lol
I owned two NSXs, I have to say there no better Japanese supercar to own out there than a NSX. It may not be as fast as a 300ZX, Supra, RX7 or 3000GT, but it handles like a dream (nothing against RX7s, they actually handle pretty good too) and it is a head turner. Although parts are crazy expensive but oil change is $50, which is not bad compare to $1,500 oil change for Ferraris. I am looking to get back in to another one in the near future, but a 3.2 liter instead of 3.0.
@axsb Actually, in the car, there is no drone at all. That is what is one of the fantastic things about this exhaust system! What you usually here in the NSX is the Intake noise.. but it is so fantastic that no on really cares.
@v8subie I think what you are seeing is the camera mount moving. The NSX does not have the power to do much in the way of spin out in a straight line. All you get is a little chirp depending on how you release the clutch. The turbo NSX's have to worry about this though... Ohh it would be nice to have those problems :-)
For a decently used one around $30,000. I happen to get a salvaged one for only $10,000 tough. It was a pretty good deal. If you like the 03+ models you can always do a simple conversion for less then $4,000.
Cool Video... I want to personally thank you for not putting on say shitty house music in the background or talking excessively through the video. You let the NSX doing the talking, we all thank you.
Love your NSX. Excellent video! Nice editing. I just cant get my videos to show as hi-Q as yours. How do you do it? What in-car camera mount did you use?
I found it most similar to the Porsche Cayman in suspension feel but it has a longer wheel base which reacts differently to things. The Steering Feel is closer to an Elise if you opt for the non powered version. It is not BMW, at least not stock BMW. Had M5 and E46 M3's and they are much heavier feeling in every way.
Nice NSX. I think the best exhaust for the NSX is indeed this one... I love how it soudns from the inside, but not from the outside. Is there any other interesting exhaust for the NSX? the GT-ONEs sound good, but I'm not sure if those really give a considerable power increase or if they are light. I heard the ARK DT-S exhaust gives the NSX an extra 10-12 whp.
I actually drove my first auto that was fun, a 2012 C63 AMG has a magnificent auto trans. I wish they were all that way, but they are not.. So Ill stick to my Manuals too!
0-60 is about 5.8s when I used my G-tech to test but I am no professional, I am sure pros can get it down to 5.5s. The weird thing is the magazines back in the day says top speed is 168mph, but I took my up to 172mph and it still kept on going, my NSX is stock. I pissed my pants at that speed and decided to slow down before some cop saw me and lands me in jail or I crash and die. The version I had was 3.0 with 270HP so I am sure 3.2 290HP may have a higher top speed.
I use an HD Camera with Apple editing software. The quality stinks on U tube compared to the original, but that is normal. Camera mount is my tripod with a long velcro strap around the seat. Works ok.
I know this was posted years ago, but hoping you remember. What exact model steering wheel is that Sparco? It says 330mm but yours looks much thicker than the ones on the Sparco site. Any info would be awesome! :)
+Crank Turner I was just asked this from an NSX prime member a few months back.. It was a very thick 330 mm wheel. Her is the link to my install thread on nsxprime.com www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/102745-New-Sparco-Wheel-Installed!
The NSX has 320HP out put from 3.2 L motor, which is 100hp per liter. The S2000 has 235hp from 2.2l which is 107hp per Liter. the nsx has a WHOLE bunch more torque than the S2000 Motor. If honda wanted to have more HP per liter, im sure they could, but no point to down grade torque and loose the wide power band that they did in the s2000
No, this was filmed in Warrenville, IL. I know because I drive the exact same roads that this guy just did. He should be careful though, lots of cops in this area. lol
Exactly, The Door Sills Say Honda on them as well as most of the parts in and around the car. The NSX is HONDA through and through.... (so is Acura) LOL
Damn that car's pretty. The paint is so bright, like it has more metal in it than usual. And the rims are nice, they match well and are not too tacky. Super-clean underneath, too! Damn!
Best sounding NSX exhaust out there. I hate that high pitch rattle-ish sound other systems make - especially on the over run.

Sounds so good especially at 8,000 rpm!

I like it, not ricer but not too tame. NSX is definitely the car I'm getting straight out of university.
Holy crap you filmed this in Naperville, IL! I recognize the area and the streets, thats crazy! Too bad you sold it :(

@Veilside1000HP I was always able to get it at about 5 seconds flat with the mods I had on the car. Exhaust and Headers.

Love that noise
Cannon High Def, EL10 with a 40gig hard drive. dam utube won't load High def images so this is as good as you guys get to see it!
in the US its under acura, but honda and acura are sister companies so it doesn't really matter.

Did you change the transmission? The last time I checked my nsx It was a 5 speed........
@niicccllas Uhhhh No... The GPS Speed and the car speed was always dead on. Where did you get this info?
I like that engine sound who needs a exhaust , if the engine sounds that cool

Joe Krelle Outstanding! Thank you VERY much :)

That is funny! That was just a lazy sunday afternoon by myself.
you have shorter gears? what are final drive is that and what is the top speed with that? does it give significant performance?
what program did u use to make this vid...nice nsx drives well
@JosephKrelle wat do you do for a living
No, this was filmed in Warrenville, IL. I know because I drive the exact same roads that this guy just did. He should be careful though, lots of cops in this area. lol
IMO I prefer the hidden head lights.
@TheMonstersAreDue Used imovie on my apple. simple program with no flair really, but lets you make basic movies pretty easy.
The original Japanese super car!
Do you get people looking at you in this car :)? Sounds nice btw

Haha.. that is funny..... Good Comment / Reply
Exactly, The Door Sills Say Honda on them as well as most of the parts in and around the car. The NSX is HONDA through and through.... (so is Acura) LOL
They go out and purchase them... There are quite a few on the market and about 8000 of them in the United States.
It revs faster and there is some noticeable power increase. never dynoed it though
@JosephKrelle i always thought thats that was the nos button
you are right.
The nsx is so badass it's crazy and pol say Honda makes boring cars I have a 2005 and pol don't know what it is but this max is really nice
This has to be in Texas. Am I right?
hey bro where did you get the steeringwheel???

The 1st gen Acura TSX has the same gear ratio minus 1 gear. :)
Yes. Stock Cats on the car
i guess it just depends on what you are used to hearing
Honda's best-engineered car for pavement racing...
...has a sexy exhaust note!
Fukn dope!
02-05 NSX or GTR (r35).... hmmm
Is this with the stock cat?
Thanks. Got someone who might want to trade me his ARK DT-S for my RSR exhaust. I have headers and stock cat, so I think I might just have to do it.
Is this in Dallas?
such a sexy car
Automatic?
I would like to buy this car but u cant find it. If the owner wanna sell let mw knw
your ride is fuckin badass!!!
Acura is meant to be the luxury/US spec of Honda. Honda NSX sounds better and it's what I've always known it to be.
@nico1p No Bottle on this.. Just good old N/A
supra or this?
ill trade you my buick century 1999 and my double dd gf for your acura nsx

Turbo that thing!
