Hobby, Obsession, Metal Disorder and waste of money Ive heard it called many things mainly by my wife hahaha. But if it helps you of brings pleasure we don’t listen to them ;)
After seeing an earlier video of yours (think it was yours ) I put the plastic wallet inside the cardboard folder and put them on the last string at the back. Now the pen clip slips onto one side of the cardboard folder and holds securely, leaving the pen within the edges of the notebook and no marks on the leather notebook 😀
I went down the fountain-pen-friendly-printer-paper-rabbit-hole not too long ago as well. And the best fountain pen friendly printer paper that I’ve found is from Kokuyo (Kokuyo A4 KB Paper). It is a thin paper (64gsm) from Japan, but just like Tomoe River it ghosts but has no bleed-through with fountain pens. Kokuyo also makes other paper products with fountain pen friendly paper. Clairfontaine is good as well, though I would opt for 90gsm (with the Clairefontaine DCP variant) since 80gsm did have some bleed-through for me. Both of these work well in my Brothers BW laser printer but I prefer the Japanese paper since it is thinner but still handles fountain pen ink very well. Just found and subscribed to your channel btw. Really liking it so far so keep doing what you’re doing 😊.
Thank you so much for the in-depth info, this will save me sooooo mush time trying paper that does not work 👍 thanks for the subscription too I'll try keep up my random stationery ramblings 😂👍
when I used to bullet journal I used to use a gray gel pen (like the Pentel Energel or Sarasa Clip) to draw in my spreads. it really helped my writing stand out against my layout kind of like how planners are usually printed in lighter inks. I know Diamine Graphite is a popular gray ink and Faber Castell Stone Grey is nice but it's a little darker than graphite. You could try drawing in in something like that to help your writing stand out
@@manvstationery I’ve never tried printing on it myself, but I don’t see why there would be any issues. I’m pretty sure it’s available in standard size sheets, and most printers have settings for different sizes if you’d rather not trim anything down. 🙂
Was going to comment just that but make it MD Paper instead. It’s 80gsm if I remember correctly, handles fountain pen inks really well and dries faster than Tomoe River. 😊
Glad you’re back on the wagon!
Thank you :)
I never knew I had a hobby of stationary collecting until I found your channel lol, never knew it existed 😂

Anything can be a hobby if you throw enough money at it. 😂
@@jessicasblack oh I do seem to do that 🤣
@@manvstationery Same!

That sounds like a cool Idea :)

That’s a great Idea thx, I have them inks and also the Sarasa in grey so ill give it a shot on my next batch of pages :)
You could try loose leaf tomoe river or clairefontaine paper. Both are great with fountain pens, and loose leaf is cheaper than buying notebooks.
Thanks I’ll probably try this. I wonder how well it goes through a printer ?

@@unichan5 does MD paper come loose never seen that I'll need to check 👍
@@manvstationery It comes in A4 paper pads and huge tear away blocks but not loose leaf I think.
