I do feel for you. I left LA in '08.... was afraid to stay as I was starting to see changes. And to even think of growing old and living there, forget it. I spent 18 years in socal and NorCal and miss it dearly but leaving was best thing I could have done. Quality of life, freedom and the ability to actually get out and do things without crowds, rudeness, anger and of course the accelerated way of life out there. .I feel I lost so much of my life and valuable time by staying out there as long as I did....
