@shredcraftrc true seeing as the rdx performs so well out of the box tho I am gonna wait it out to see how well the rd 2.0 does to see if I still want to go with the rdx
I'm just about to make my order. Have all the electrics and controller chosen, but I can not decide weather go RD 2.0 or RDX.. hopefully the following videos can help me decide (after having watched a few of you talking about the RDX) which I like a lot.
Pretty cool! Thanks for the breakdown and explanation. Drifting is the 'popular thing' in my area, but I have yet to build a dedicated rig in 1/10 scale to run at the meets. Just like all the other things (speed runs, crawling, bashing) it can get expensive really quick, so it's nice to see some more budget friendly options out there for the newcomer.
Thank you, yes it can definitely get expensive fast! I’m attempting to find the best level of budget and performance with this one as if a new guy was just getting into so I’m glad you saw that! A lot of guys just want to buy whatever is “best” and then then can’t drive the car. I’m a big advocate for growing with the car.
This is the original and it has boost and turbo, I just can’t justify replacing this one when it works so well for what it is, I was thinking the ReveD breve clone or the other team power esc seem like interesting choices since they have built in Bluetooth.
@@beartodrift5345 Hobbywing 10bl120, all boost and turbo mean is a timing adjustment to the motor. This esc can advance timing and punch, the G2 calls it turbo and boost now.
Good video, mate! Can you change the motor position, higher or lower? After watching your video now I am also thinking about the RDX. Very indecisive now😂
Super excited to see a rd 2.0 I was pretty bummed when my only two options for beginner drift was a rd 1.0 or rdx can't wait to see the comparison too
Shouldn’t be bummed about an RDX! That is one of the best chassis available right now.

it’s as good as the rdx stock. love mine.
Definitely some great value for the money!
great video im new to rc drifting and this helps alot thanks bro blaze it
Awesome glad to help.

I think the RDX edges the rd2.0 slightly but not by much, I have both and drive both.

Would love to see as a budget esc the new HW BL120 sensored g2
50ish bucks and features boost and turbo 🤔

Didn't know this existed. May go with that instead of xd10 pro!
@@Limitless_Potato i think only place to order em right now is straight from hobbywing also be careful cause theres a non sensored version of it too
There’s a $50 ESC with boost and turbo??? Where??

Yea the motor position can be changed, the rd2.0 is basically an rdx just yokomos version.
@@shredcraftrc Appreciate your reply! I guess I will just get RD2.0. The price performance is simply better from I where get it.
do you think you could link the electronics you used? great video!
I don’t have a link but should be simple enough to google.
@@shredcraftrc I have everything except the gyro
@@Car_camera_shutter Check out Amazon and type AGFRC gyro

What electronics does the kit come with?
Kits don’t come with any electronics.
ah mb alright
What are your thoughts on the sd 2.0 in comparison? Over kill?
What do you mean by over kill? I think it’s great for a budget rwd drift kit and a great value for the money.
@@shredcraftrc not rookie drift but super drift.
I don’t have any experience with the sd2.0 so I can’t speak to it, guess that’s would depend of you want aluminum parts or plastic parts.
Wanna know how we gonna put the motor fan on? Thanks
fan mount mounts right to the motor mount.
@@shredcraftrc got u, also What's the T on ur motor gear? Ty

🤔 I just ordered an RDX 🙈
Rdx is still my favorite chassis, this appears to be very similar.
@shredcraftrc so you'd go rdx over rd 2.0?
That’s hard to say since I’ve only driven the yokomo twice and have over a year with the RDX. I love my RDX.
