@@sj460162 I use MECOOL Android box to play movies and audio tracks. Four movies I use MX Player and for audio tracks I use Poweramp player. Both of them have equalisers I use in other to get rich sounds. The player by itself is not impressive. You need an external playing device with an equaliser to get the best out of it. You have to use external playing device connected to the home theatre to get the best surround sound performance
@@prothx2 Thanks for letting me know. On this I went with the Yamaha 271 reciever. Only 300 quid! I connected it up with my active sub and speakers and it sounds great! On some bluerays I get the odd lip sync issue so I might replace the optic lead with hdmi, not sure if it will sound any better or not?

Can the front speakers be mounted directly to the stands ( without the extension bar in between ).
Unfortunately no. It wasn't designed like that. The speakers has to go on the middle extension then unto the round flat base.
