I have a f150 xlt with the same body. I hop this helps me out, I have a lot of work on this truck. I was looking for wiring diagrams for the entire truck so I can comb though the wiring and fix all the other problems. But they are hard to find. If you have any good places to go to find diagrams would be nice. My driver door it needs replaced along with all the controls because they completely destroyed it.
Thanks for watching one of my very early videos! It was a personal choice really. I suppose I could have used a heat gun, but the foam glue pad was so deteriorated I was afraid of damaging the emblem with too much heat using a heat gun so I opted for the more difficult, but safer for the emblem method of removing it with a scraper. As for the propane tank, To the uninitiated, it appears that the propane tank might be too close to the heater. But actually, the tank is almost behind the outlet. The heater blows a ring of cool air around the central tube where the heat comes out. Pretty clever feature I thought. And, since the tank will "ice up" and not run the heater properly when its as cold as it was that day, I found that you have to strike a balance between keeping the tank JUST close enough to the heater to prevent the tank from icing up, but not too close to be dangerous. But I admit, it does look scary!
zx8401ztv I wish! It was a thin film label behind a clear plastic substrate. It's like trying to peel a security label off, it just disintegrates. You can see a bit of it on the workbench.
Mac Gyver You and your posh words "substrate" lol, your confusing my thick brain again :), yep i understand now, cheap-n-nasty clear support with paint splattered on the back, :D leg pulling as allways :)
No problem at all! I enjoy it! I am happy that I have folks that enjoy the videos, and it's so much fun getting to banter about with my viewers! Kind of like new age "pen-pals" It's great!
*Badges? we don't need no stinking badges! lol Should have taken you a battery powered quickie saw and gotten the quarters off of that other truck too. i mean it's a Ford so i understand not wanting to sink ton of money into it but still* :o)
skip to 6:00 thats where it really starts.
I thought the comment section would be full of how stupid it was to put a propane tank right next to the heater
That was my insight as well but obviously that's not something that matters
Thats exactly the only reason I scrolled down lol

Why would you not use a heat gun on the emblems, it would've been so much easier? Also, move that damn propane tank.

Propane tank near the source of Heat can go BOOM!! Smart. The real MacGyver would be more efficient.
Too much talking and not enough showing about taking apart
anyone know what that part between the headlight/grill and bumper is called? i need to replace mine on my truck.
Filler panel
S thank you so much. I've been looking for weeks now
You had the exact same problems I have on my f150
Ha ha exterminate that coffee :D, nice :-))
Perhaps a hot hair dryer on that badge to soften the goo? maybe lol.
