When she started thinking about doing a Season 2 of Fleabag, because initially she wanted Fleabag's story to end at the end of Season 1, she wanted Fleabag to meet and fall in love with someone for real. But just like in real life the person she falls in love with is unattainable. For PWB because he's gay and for Fleabag because he's a priest. She wouldn't consider any other actor other than Andrew Scott to play the priest. During all the awards ceremonies she was quoted as saying "Making Fleabag gave me the opportunity to get a gay man to kiss me and tell me he loves me". So I think she was able to fulfill a long held fantasy.

Oh! Also love how Andrew Scott plays that evening scene in the rectory only just SLIGHTLY tipsy. So subtle. Just enough alcohol to loosen him up enough to say, "FU, calling me 'Father' . . . "
It makes me really sad that people keep saying he's moriarty because the actor really killed this role and idk why you all gotta treat him like that. It's probably incredibly frustrating to work your ass off into a complex character and everyone tells you it's no different than the last thing you did
