Watch this video if you are looking to buy a windscreen for your 6th gen Honda VFR800. MRA makes Vario windscreens for most of the bikes out there. They work very well on a bikes and are useless on some. I have had these on most of my bikes and I loved them. On the VFR800 it is good but I feel like its still noisy at highway speeds. Please let me know what do you think in the comments below if you have any experience with one of these.

6th gen vfr 800 MRA VARIO TOURING WINDSHIELD
Fitted one of these years ago, once tweaked it was completely game changing for me. Getting your mind into the sense you're smoothing the airflow rather than trying to block the air was key. Like you say parallel to the windshield, it just totally smoothes it out.
It does actually make a lot of difference. Since then I have such a set up on all my bikes.
I finally got one of these MRA VarioTouring screens but I still have an incredible amount of turbulent noise regardless of foil position. I find when I raise my head 6 inches higher from how I sit, it is much cleaner air, especially standing up. I'm afraid to say that naked bikes are way quieter with clean air, even though there is more windblast on your body. I am still looking for a good highway speed solution with the VFR before I go deaf. And yes, I use earplugs every ride.

Wow, I cant believe how much quieter it became when you adjusted the spoiler! I have a double bubble windscreen on my 07. Seems pretty quiet.
This MRA Vario windshield is very good for some... and some others hate it. I’m coming up with a totally new windshield set up for the VFR. It’s way quieter than all the 4 other windshields I have tested. I’m still working on the video... it’s so difficult to make these videos when you work full time and have other responsibilities as well. The time is just not enough... 😂😂😂
@@rideswithrichie Great Richie, cant wait to see the video. Yes videos are soo hard to do. I stopped doing videos after my 2nd VFR, but maybe Ill do one of my newer 07. What's your opinion of the Honda Africa twin bike? It looks darn interesting!!!
I have not ridden the latest 1100 Africa twin and have not experienced the new engine. The previous model was very good, very reliable and comfortable for 1 person with luggable on... but 1 always wanted a bike which could carry a pillion as well as luggage for a long trip since my wife travels with me on my motorcycle on our holidays. I heard that When fully loaded with luggage and pillion the the bike was not very pleasant to ride.. That was one of the reasons why I bought the tiger800 XR on which we explored while of Ireland and UK over the months(camping all the time, no hotel or B&B stays). That bike is something else all together... I’m waiting to get a test ride on the new Africa Twin when the restrictions are eased out in Ireland. Hope this helps.

I’m currently using givi d217s on my vfr. Big, ugly but work well, much better than puig double bubble screen

I tried taking off my stock windscreen to test the difference in turbulence and noise, but then when reinstalling it, one of the rubber grommets for mounting it popped out and fell into the fairing. Hahahahah what do I do now......take the dash and front fairings off? Lol
