The range of differents styles of songs for this band is just unbelievable...
These guys are epic!!!
Agreed. Half the time I have to check to really be sure it's actually Josh singing. He has so many different types and styles and ranges of singing, including using British accentuation on some songs, more gutteral stuff like grunge, high vocals/falsetto on other stuff, and even weird stuff like "Interlude with Ludes" with Them Crooked Vultures. Talk about using a voice as an instrument! Extremely creative guy. It's now to the point for me that anything Josh or Dave (Grohl), I'm almost guaranteed to check it out. I just recently discovered The Desert Sessions, Eagles of Death Metal, and of course Them Crooked Vultures.
@@jekku4688 try kyuss next bro
Yet they still always have a touch of stoner and you can tell it’s Queens. Such an awesome band!
Absolutely. There’s an interview of Dave Grohl flat out saying that QOTSA is the greatest live rock band playing today. They are the best rock band of the last 20 years
"Cut you in, Ill just cut you out" - the way he sings that line is just sublime.
The lyrics mixed with his unique voice are fucking one of a kind. This goddam song has been stuck in my damn head for 10 years.
Same here man. Its wonderfully off kilter.
Hahahaha
yep ,definitely an earworm and in my head high rotation like.
Omg this😂
Me too. I was thinking about this song but couldn't remember the band then had a dream the other night and it all came back--it's all in there somewhere!!
That guitar tone is a force to be reckoned with.
FINALLY! Been trying to find this god damn song for YEARS. That bass line is so good. What a good track.
Most underrated band in modern rock. These guys are legit. The ginger elvis rocks!!
👌😂 ginger elvis ❤
The Lost Art of Going to Bed at a Reasonable Hour
I haven't had that skill in like 5 years.
im die rn lol
The only reason I remember this band is cos they turned up to a rock festival and the guitarist was stark naked - bell end and all.
@@tmc3567 I LOL'd for real...
As I sit here drunk and loaded at 5:30 a.m., but still just want to listen to bitchin tunes! 🤟🏻
one of my favourite songs by QOTSA. the melodies, the lyrics and the chorus. its a neat package.
This riff is golden impossible to not bob your to head this.
Yus!!!
Phantom Limb: I'm bobbing right now.
I love when Barrett Martin plays the vibes on anything. He played vibraphone on the Mad Season album too and made it so spooky.
josh homme is at the core of the formation of an entire genre of rock (desert/ stoner rock) with kyuss. then continues to blow minds in qotsa... was in a band with a former member of nirvana and led zeppelin. josh homme is a legend. enough said.
don't forget about Eagles of Death Metal
@@WinkyMcWinkerson he said “enough said” 🤫
never thought of it that way, that is impressive
The Devil And the Almighty blues to man
Wow 10 yrs ago hellyeah
That intro is one of rock’s most underrated intros.
Who underrates it?
@@timpettit8415 That's the right question. People misuse the word "underrated" so much these days, it's getting ridiculous. You find it litteraly everywhere.
I think they mean "this is not spoken a lot in my social circle", and call this "underrating". But yeah, words have meaning.
Discover audible?
Such a simple intro to such a heavy, unique song. 👍🤘🏻
It's not underrated, we worship it each time we're listening.
My old maths teacher, Mr Marshall, made me a cassette of the fisrt 2 QOTSA albums. Blew my tiny mind. Easily 23 years ago. Thanks Mr Marshall!!!
Its criminal this song isnt as well known...its really good.
So true. I was down the rabbit hole also known as TH-cam and this was on the feed! Awesome song and now a regular play!

My favorite of theirs
Don't call me hipster, but I do prefer that way
@@ronp1174 All the way with you there Ron! My favourite for sure and I have literally everything QOTSA have released. Feel Good Hit of the Summer is a close second as that used to be what I called a good weekend. Fully rehabbed now!
I don't know how this was made but besides the band aging a bit, it still looks and sounds fresh in 2023, thank you!
Musicianship in its finest way - for 30 years now one of my favourites tunes
This is bad ass, get me fired up! i still remember how mind-blowing it was hearing this the firs time the year it was released, unreal!
This has gotta be a contender for my favorite song of the past twenty years.
ahhh a KC fan..
I agree
This is not just a song, this is teaching the prestige of being whole secret
Whatever you do, don't tell anyone 🔥💫💫🔥🔥🔥🔥👌👌👌Perfect line, I'm speechless
My favourite Queens Of The Stone Age song.

One of their best songs... In my opinion anyway
This and No one knows easly their best

The lost art of making good damn music!
hahahah owned
The lost art of people not being lazy and find good music nevertheless.
Good music has been lost for years.
Wrong
Richie kotzen for example
Interviewed Josh twice when I worked in radio- really nice guy- easy to talk to
Their best song IMHO, the dirty jazz infused rock groove of it really fits the title and mood!
One of my favorite bands..They kick ass!!!

I've got a secret, I cannot say
Blame all the movement to give it away
You've got somethin, I understand
Holding it tightly, caught on command
Leap of faith, do you doubt?
Cut you in, I just cut you out
[chorus:]
Whatever you do
Don't tell anyone
Whatever you do
Don't tell anyone
Look for reflections, in your face
Canine devotion, time can't erase
Out on the corner, locked in your room
I never believe them and I never assume
Still can't believe there is a lie
Promise is promise, an eye for an eye
We've got something to reveal
No one can know how we feel
I think you already know
How far I'd go not to say
You know the art isn't gone
And I'm taking my song to the grave
Uh, no
nice
Andy Bennett lwas k
Andy Bennett "stuck in belief there is a lie"
"No one can know, how would it feel" ... isn't it what he's singing? At least I sing it along that way.
Chris Goss's infectious grooves are all over this song (and album)
One of my favorite parts in this song is when he holds the word “baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack” in the third verse. I wait for it every time!
This song just has a great feel, good hook, and keeps you there...... "don't tell anyone!"
This song was the first that I'd ever heard from Queens of the Stone Age. I've been in love ever since.
I think the Queens of the Stone Age know only how to create excellent music. There is no standard less for the mix and match artists who join in on their adventures than to bring only the remarkable.
+SlamifiedBuddafied Josh Homme, in general, is one of the most talented men in rock and roll right now. my favorite will always be trent reznor, but homme is very close second, followed by dave grohl and les claypool
+Zachary Skr the term rock and roll implies a huge circle of music, look at the various artists inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, for instance. nine inch nails will make it there eventually. but as you pointed out I said Trent Resznor, who absolutely is a rock artist, who has made music with josh homme as well as Dave Grohl, David bowtie, Adam ant, the girl from the yeah yeah yeahs, and many other artists for 20+years
+Scot Morgan Who is David Bowtie?
+Kill Courtney a beautiful auto correct
who Zach? im confused
It’s the best advice a song could give. It’s advice that is good to take at all times of life! Truth.
One of the best QOTSA songs in my opinion.....Rated R is a great album all around
"And I'm taking my song to the grave".... Excellent song!!!
Would you believe if I were to tell you I only heard of QOTSA 3 days ago?
Kicked myself for not discovering their pivotal songs earlier. Well... Better late than never right?? ^^
This album was played so much when i was little, it gives me so much nostalgia now. I love it❤
THIS IS a masterpiece.
One of the greatest musicians and for the past 20 yrs the only band you need to listen to.
The first song i ever heard from these guys way back 2000. Been a fan ever since. Damn they good
One of the best songs ever
never heard this until today, heard it playing in a clothes shop I went in - guy behind the counter was singing along and hanging up shirts. I knew I recognised the singer's voice but I couldn't place it... Glad I figured it out!!
Una banda sonora magnifica!!!
Man i just adore this ridiculously talented band 😍❤️
This is the first song of theirs I ever heard super late one night on Much Music. Was hooked.
The thematic sequel to Peter Gabriel's Intruder imo. Absolute all-time rock classic. The chorus at 1:58 is haunting af.
So glad this is my favorite band, been one that’s changed my life in a lot of ways.
What an era for qotsa, i feel like a dweeb but i really miss this old lineup, their tracks were dark and beautiful together
Sloburn baby
I don't know dude as a longtime fan whose listened to everything it's safe to say Like Clockwork and their newest album In Times New Roman are far darker than this. This IS however the perfect blend of compact, crunchy (yet easy listening) hard rock they made: I think the other best "pop rock" album they made is Era Vulgaris.
Damn I love this band
QOTSA is just one of the last great band in rock history. Among the greatest.
I would love your input on our last video from our first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. If you have just 3 minutes to listen and a bit more to comment, that would mean the world to me. Keep rockin' th-cam.com/video/i1fVRW6z3n4/w-d-xo.html and Happy new year
My wife and I had this as our first dance at our wedding... lmfao!!!
First anything I saw from QOTSA...I gave a big WTF to the name but instantly loved the sound. Still one of my fave bands.
crazy how much this song is relevant to young people these days with social media and other things consuming us
Ahhhh man, hello again to the year 2000. And I'm still loving this band entirely.
Saw them live at Pukkelpop festival summer '14. tightest set I've ever heard. These guys know how to play for sure
Rated R is so underrated. People always say Songs for the Deaf is QOTSA's best album, but it doesn't even come close to Rated R in my opinion.
Yup. It's amazing. Lullabies to paralyze and Era Vulgaris are amazing on their way too. I do believe in the fact that every fan will say that SFTD is the best just because it made QOTSA popular and stuff like that. In my opinion, Like Clockwork is the best thing since SFTD, I mean, just the fact that I view the whole album as a concept album, basing on the near death experience Josh had. Not saying that LTP and EV were bad but not as good as LC. Every fan has their own opinion and we should just respect each other's opinion as much as we respect the band members.
Rated R is my fav. in my opinion each album has lost something since SFTD, mainly Nick Oliveri, Like clockwork is my least fav, actually i hate it. If i had a tail, i would kill myself!!!!! and i know nick was back for a few songs on LC but still not the same queens
DominikLederhas
Dude, you stole words from my tonque C:
Absolute match with my opinion about it.
imo Rated R has some great songs, but as a whole album its probably my least favorite from QOTSA. All of them are good though, R included.
***** i want lullabies all night long
I think this band got overlooked ! They even sound better with time !!
One of the greatest to ever do it!
the only remaining original sounding rock band left

qotsa is prolly the best hard rock band around. Holding it down for everyone who wants good music.
QOTSA doesn't care what you think of their music - They're going to create the music they want... Just like NIN, RUSH, Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick and Deep Purple... Class act!
most under rated band ever, they are so good.
Aaaah... the ginger Elvis is the best
Ginger Elvis! Great name for a band...

Just discovered this song yesterday by listening to the radio and I’m already addicted to it
True masterpiece!
Love it. Have seen this band live, and they kick ass. It was when Nick Oliveri was still with the band, and he got all his gear off...............
The lost art of wanting a man that can't be yours ❤
That BASS line is awesome.
In Ocean City in February a 2:30am in the morning. And staired into what looked like the darkest black water and deepest abyss I've ever seen. Don't know how long I staired, but I staired, got into my car cause it was fucking cold as shit outside and it was February in Ocean City, but I staired some more, then I wrote a poem about it. Left went home went to sleep and went to work. Don't have the poem any more but solid inspiration for writing! Cheers smoothie boochies!!
The lost art of pushing your Ampeg VT-22 beyond it's own limits. We miss that sound...

You can't keep this good song a secret
Been top 3 qotsa songs for 10+ years - no secrets here ;)

Best intro to a song I've ever heard...takes me right back.
This song was featured in a movie trailer in the early 2000's. Do you have any idea what the name of the movie is?

Is it just me or qotsa is the greatest rock n roll band of all times??
Best track , best line up. Just like a tolerance, nothing good lasts.
The song that got me into QOTSA
time goes by ... music seeps into your blood.. this is bloody wonderful
the blood is love...
Songs, even new ones, make me want to cry anymore... I can sing them all, but I'm always alone. Nobody hears my voice.

Yuuummmmmyyy. Feb 9th QOTSA = MINE in Houston.
I'll be at the Houston show also. I am so stoked!!!
hell yea i went that day. they are AWESOMEEEEEEEEE!!! great show.
I grew up with this, iron maiden, slipknot guns n roses ozzy etc, i grew out of it probably around starting secondary school sbout age 12 13, found rap and house and stuck to it ever since, listen to allot of UK & US drill/trap currently and have for past few year, but at 26 year old i still come back and listen to this song🤌🏻🤘🏻 Gotta be best song theyve done🔥
RIP Mark. The world just got colder.
These guys are a whole different level man!!!
Essa banda detona mesmo! Sabem fazer Rock de verdade!
Homme reached a level of cool that has folded in upon itself, becoming nothingness.
Josh Homme needs to go down in history as one of the greatest song writers and performer, QOTSA music is magical and epic and Josh comes over as a very humble guy. He has good morals as well as he booted the bassist Nick Oliveri out of the band because he apparently abused his partner.
Love this. The Kyuss is strong.
I suspected my husband always texting a lady on his phone , We’ve been married for 18 years, we’ve both been happy together until recently when he switched side and I found out he has been cheating .I explained my story to a colleague at work then she introduced me to this genuine hacker, Darkwebprohacker who gave me access to his phone , I had complete access to his phone right on my own device and I could see all his activities for the past 2 years and also have access to new notifications, his text messages, Facebook messages, location, call logs, and I found out my husband was also flirting on dating sites..I love my husband a lot and I still don’t understand why he betrayed me, I have been a good hardworking wife and never for once cheated on him. I tracked him down and found out he was always going to sleep in another woman’s house with me thinking my husband is always at work for night shift. You can contact this great hacker who helped me found out the truth about my husband at darkwebprohack(at)gmail com or Whats app +19087998357 or text and call them directly on the same number. They helped me get access into his phone without even touching his phone.I have enough evidence against my husband and I am thinking of Filing for divorce.I want advice if I should give him another chance or let go ? We have 2 kids together
it's a painful feeling but I believe things happen in life it comes as it goes, as it says what doesn't kills makes you stronger
I remember when this album (R) came out.... I had just got my first car - a Vauxhall Nova. I used to blast my ear drums out with this Album on my way to college every morning and then work every night for a joke of a wage just so that I could buy weed and CD's......This track and feel good hit of the summer were favourites.

I had the same experience with this song that I had with that Smiths song everyone knows - they got me excited for a sound that wasn't characteristic of the band.
