    I found it ! ( 6 years ago give or take I saw this video and have been looking for it ever since ) so grateful for these videos and knowledge thank for your time . Is slicer and meshmixer free for Mac. It’s not slicer for fusion 360 right ( i think that’s discontinued anyways and meshmixer isn’t fusion I’m sure .. just really new . I’m god at photoshop this seems like another level. Anyone recommend where to go to start off learning this program and why u think this might be a better program vs others . Thanks

    Thank you for the tutorial doc. I wanna ask is there any library or package or method where i can do autosegmentation for 1000 tibial CT Scan?

      Maybe, but I'm not directly aware of one. Explore slicer plugins and "automated tibial segmentation"

    Are there other software for skull stripping other than ITK ? specially for CTA? Thanks

    • @justincramer9557
      @justincramer9557  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally skull stripping of CT is best done by thresholding. E.g. set all voxels > 500 HU = min value. It's a nice part of working with CT - skull stripping is much easier!

    Amazing presentation Justin. Can this be used to Coaxial images of arteries ( Raw output of CTA) to MPT ( longitutional view) of arteries. Let me know

      Thanks! Not exactly sure what you're asking. Slicer brings up any image in axial, sagittal, and coronal orthogonal views. MPRs are possible via the Reformat module. Curved planar reformats are also possible but I've not done that.

    Hello, thank you very much. Want to know where to download and get this software?

      Just search for 3D Slicer - free to download on any platform.

    Amazing presentation. Is there a way to use it for vascualr reconstructions?

    • @justincramer9557
      @justincramer9557  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well you can segment the vessels like anything else (best if you have a CTA or MRA), but to my knowledge there isn't a specific Slicer module for vascular segmentation.

    can I use it for measure muscle volume I am struggling with too much software but no one provides a method for measure

      Check out the "Segment Statistics" module. Segment what you're interested in, then you can get stats about it (e.g. volume)

    Dr.Cramer,thanks for teaching how to use 3D Slicer¡¡
    Do you think that,it´s possible teaching how dealing whith soft tissue and 3D Slicer,for example make meniscus knee stl file?
    Thanks for your time¡

    • @justincramer9557
      @justincramer9557  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's possible - likely only with MRI but possibly with a CT arthrogram. The key will be finding a study that has thin enough slices to not make a really blocky model. I haven't segmented many MSK studies yet...

      Thanks for your answer.In my opinion,accuracy segmented soft tissue is the challenge.Maybe 3d slicer could help.

    • @justincramer9557
      @justincramer9557  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah segmentation may need to be manual, which kind of renders it impractical for any clinical workflow.

    • @ramongonzalez5484
      @ramongonzalez5484 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe new 3d slicer version with new tools could decrease the work.
      New threshold effect?

      Not something I'm anticipating but if you discover anything I'd love to know about it.
