Watching these Cluth vids again and i'm remembering from the first time round why I don't like it's design. A regularly serviced coaster feels lush under the foot, but within a week the engagement feels progressively dull. I don't do pedal pressure moves as run brakes. The clutch binding into the hub shell to engage needs addressing imo. It's like comparing a 13t freewheel to a Primo Mix.
Whilst I don't doubt this is an improvement of design, I'd love to know if the clutch running on a large bearing with a spring behind it was tested. Looking at G twitch that plastic looks fairly resistant. And i wonder if it would run better with some teflon sprayed on. With having a grease port for teflon injection instead of the slack adjuster. But i'm not keen on dropping £200 plus wheel build time to see if it's really kick/king/crankflip smooth.
A press on plastic hubguard is a major turnoff too. I guess that was Odyssey's idea? 48h with GLAND mrk2 would of been stellar.
I think that the premature wear of the current clutch system is a myth, primarily due to the clutch not always rotating and the bearing being on a spring allowing the bearings to pick up once they've worn, which are £4(?) to place. Even if that were every 6 months, I don't consider that an issue. Especially seeing as people are prepared to pay out for plastic pegs that wear out crazily quick.

Or you can just use the old school "moustache" like springs that have a lot of contact surface and they are going to be stronger then the plastic thing and it doesnt need a hole trough the axle

Is the resistance mechanism of this hub last longer? I'm a little puzzled if it last since it's made of plastic and wears faster. Thanks!

Rizal Linao Questionable. But you shouldn't have an issue with the resistance bearing on khe style hubs wearing out imo provided the hub runs true and it is lubed. Besides, replacement resistant bearing for khe style hubs is a few quid/bucks.
I REALLY want to try this hub, but spending the money for a potential downgrade isn't good. This hub also has the female collar issues associated with other hubs.
I like George's designs but this just seems like a band aid to the issues

Plastic last longer but spring is hard to find and on mine started slipping very quickly and drag mechanism is not widely available would have to import it from US or UK

Seems needlessly complicated when you could of just changed the way the current ones work to have less resistance. Bushing/ oversized bearings?

My V2 clutch is slipping, so do I have to replace the plastic parts?

Maybe, or just too much grease

Yeah sucks mine even with oil slips.
I've ground slack spacer (only one side and only plastic close to the axle) so the drag mechanism sits farther away from the clutch maybe that will fix it
