    If i were to take the same idea, do you think it’d work on a wall without a corner? wouldnt be a massive desk, just big enough for a laptop, monitor and ps5. Only concern is the lag bolts being strong enough to support it

    • @JARMade
      @JARMade  ปีที่แล้ว

      No lol the desk is too heavy definitely recommend you put it in the corner

    • @LILDOFFICIAL3
      @LILDOFFICIAL3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you were to make a floating desk without a corner, what I did was use a metal desk frame from shelfology, (which has a sleek floating look, and holds well over 150lbs when mounted correctly) and I mounted that on my wall. My desk works great with little to no issues. I would recommend that if you still want a floating desk, but aren’t sure if the wood frame would work.

      Yeah he has no way to transfer the force of the weight laterally down the wall, need some brackets underneath. This shelf is going to start pulling away from the wall in the corner under just the weight of dude's arms over time, not even counting the weight of the crap he has on it. Dude is going to put his left hand on top of the desk to stand up one day not thinking and rip that whole freaking thing right off the wall along with all his computer stuff.
