We have a Mach-E and thinking about a Bolt to replace my other gas guzzler ICE (15mpg), but, we would probably always take the Mach-E on any road trip due to the access to the Tesla network, and somewhat faster charging. The Mach is definitely not the fastest charging out there but it can get around 120-140 below 40%, and 80ish up to 80% SOC. On the last road trip, 25-79% was about 26 minutes at a 400KW Chargepoint station that was Mercedes branded in the Buc-Ees parking lot.
Your second charge was likely faster because the Bolt only conditions the battery for fastest charging…when fast charging. But the battery stays warm for a while after
You don't need to take up 2 spots if you park next to another none-Tesla. All none-Teslas need to park next to each other and take the stall to their left. And all Teslas need to park next to each other starting from the other side of the site. In this fashion, only one spot will be lost even if the whole site is full. It just take some coordination and cooperation. Please pass that knowledge on when you start using Superchargers.
No, I do not have a spare tire for my EUV. It’s been a while since the last time I got a flat. Our van got a nail in one of the tires but it leaked slow enough that I could get a tire and replace it before it went flat. Not too worried about it.
Love your taste in Christmas music with Third Day shown on there! Such a great band! Thank you for the review.
They are one of my all time favorites
Great information

Bolt would be great especially if staying local with it. Could also look into a lower trim equinox ev just in case you had to go longer distance.

Agreed! Lots of factors in this. Drive for longer and outside temperature was higher and lower state of charge. Plus earlier fast charge.

I know that our Bolt dont have spare tire but do you install one on yours in case of flat tire?
