One of our favorite ways to catch crappie. We use 1/16 ounce and troll around a mile an hr. Occasionally we’ll slow it to .75 but definitely a relaxing way to fish. Can catch up white bass in the spring and early summer too
Yeah, I believe I said those are 8th ounce but they were actually 16th that’s what I saw y’all use it in a couple of your videos I believe but yeah it’s a lot of fun and I’ll probably be doing some more of it this fall
@@JSOutdoors oddly specific limit but envious of it! We can only keep 10/D in MN...... Don't catch into them often or target them but I always enjoy when I do catch one.

Iv thought about trying to drift, do you suspend drift with jigs or minnows?
Jigs I rarely use minnows, haven’t in a couple years now
Do you ever fish the old barge loading area over at keota along the concrete walls have caught some really nice ones there

My dad trolls for those fall crappie down in Florida on lake monroe and a few others they crush em
stick one of those little crappie nibblets on the hook of your jig helps a lot

I thought the same thing the limit used to be 30 but I double checked before I answered your question and it appears it’s 37 now
