Thanks for video, I want to become block chain tester but I don't know what to do so can u plz make seperate video on this ... which really helpful for me
The videos are great, but I think you need to talk a little louder and a little emotional, this sounds like you're hiding from someone and you can't talk out loud so they can't hear you. Greetings: D
Hi, i have samsung note 3 (lollipop) old device, as it is not treble supported, suppose if i install android 11 custom rom, with linage os 18.1 support, can i use this device for testing apps on android 11 version, will this device work as same as officiall android 11? plz answer.
Hi Raazdar, the Note 3 is almost 10years old. I would not recommend to test on such an old device. The hardware might not be powerful enough to handle the latest apps. Second and more important the software is outdated. Many app developers and companies do not support such an old device. Even if you install a custom rom with Android 11, this will not be enough. I doubt that Android 11 is running smooth on such an old device. Do you have any chance in getting a more modern device?
@@DanielKnott yes, planned to buy Google pixel 2xl in future, Actually I have all old devices for testing e.g., huawei p8 lite, honor 8 lite(with project treble support), huawei y5ii, samsung note 3, I AM on budget thats why i want to use these already present resources for my testing purposes. hopefully there be some solution to use them.
@@DanielKnottNo, all cloud testing frameworks are costly including browserStack. I am not making anything like facebook or Uber. I cant understand word "outdated", pixel 2xl runs android 11 officially , with 4gb ram it handles applications very smoothly then why not test on it for android 11?
Is the pixel 2xl also supported with the latest operating system update, Android 13? One thing you should always keep in mind, one should test on the devices used by the customers. When I was testing Android apps, I almost never test on Pixel devices, because no user was using it. Back then Samsung was the main used devices. If you have access to usage data in the Google PlayStore, this is the place where you should look at. Are you testing apps as an independent tester, or are you working in a company?
Hi @Plague Doctor, glad you like the video. I am recording from a secret place under the earth 😂 that nobody will find me ;). You think my voice is too silent or the surround is not ideal? Before I had the problem that it sounded like standing in a big hallway. I improved the mic that I use and the room setup as well. I put more things on the walls. I kinda like it as it is right now, but always open to feedback. Have a great day!
@@DanielKnott I want to get into the industry but teaching material is beyond mediocre +you don't know if the things you're learning are actually used in that form at companies that are world class in terms of innovations in their testing processes.
@se se, did you check my video about how to get into software testing? th-cam.com/video/UOg1q4SO-cQ/w-d-xo.html. In the video I am also highlighting courses, books and more that is helpful to get started with testing.
@@encapsulatio Where are you based? Have you tried? You could consider starting in a more "manual" type testing role to break the ice - plenty of this still around.
@@DanielKnott Yes I did. But those are just some theoretical introductions, they do not come close to teaching you the skills in a mastery based way based on multiple real projects you need to go thru the full process of testing and the different types of testing and how to choose what fits based on context and requirements. It is indeed like you said, software testing is not really formally present in software engineering or CS curriculum in universities as it should be in 2021-2022 considering SecDevOps and QaOps movements in the industry and with an awareness of the most up to date implementations of all the different types of testing that's actually in use by companies not some theoretical ISTQB generic mediocre material. Besides Bolton I do not know any leader in the software industry that is teaching a framework of software testing that's modern. And I can't find any in depth reviews of Bolton's seminar to know if I should go thru it or if there's something even better. I am in a very bad place financially and if I am going to go thru a course it truly needs to be the best in the industry .

Hi @crna mamba, thanks for the feedback :). I know I need to work on my voice, I think I am doing it better but apparently not 😅

Any chance to use a tool such as BrowserStack? Pixel 2xl is also outdated already

I have a pretty low opinion on the software testing world.
Can you tell me why? Any bad experience?
