I think it’s important to normalize and talk about infertility, because the more we are able to, the less lost we can all feel, and people who have had the good fortune to have not gone through it can better support those who are. I dealt with this with my husband for 7 years and we had felt so alone in the process. I really appreciate that you are being so open about this.

This was a really tough conversation especially being doctors yourselves. Thank you for reminding us that even doctors have real struggles. That builds trust and community when you have the experiences yourself. I wish you guys a smooth ride. Thank you so very much for being candid and sharing this with us.

I'm an IVF mama, needed IVF to get my first beautiful baby and I want you to know that as someone who had primary infertility, your secondary infertility doesn't matter any less. That desire to have a baby, whether it be a first or a second is so all consuming and soul tearing and that doesn't change based on when your infertility happens. Its not any less valid because you already have a sweet girl. I'm wishing you guys all the hope and love and success in your IVF process. I hope you have all the support you need! 💕🤗

Sarah, you are incredible. To be doing this injection for the very first time on camera in this really raw way is such a beautiful way to help educate and inspire other people who are going through this. You both are absolutely amazing people and we are so excited for your little family to grow from 3 to 4!

I don’t normally comment on any videos but I have to say your story hits home with me 💕 My husband and I have secondary infertility (male factor as well) and after many losses trying with ovulation facilitation, and ultimately doing IVF, I am expecting our second child with our only viable embryo. While we aren’t a family of 4 yet, I completely empathize with the process and struggles along the way. Sending only positive vibes to you both in growing your family.

No guilt! Comparative suffering is not helpful and your desire to have more babies is valid. I appreciate that you recognize your privilege of knowing what to ask/do. You come on here and share so that viewers can know, too! Here's to hoping IVF is made more financially accessible in the years to come. Wishing you success with your IVF and thank you for sharing along the way.

I think as a society we need to remove the stigma and shame around infertility and the only way to do that is for people to courageously share their stories. I think infertility is much more common than people think. Thank you for being open and sharing your experience and knowledge. I love how at every step, your story is so relatable to normal people. If this isn’t too personal, would you mind explaining why you chose IVF over IUI?

My husband and I had been TTC for 3 years when his general doctor suggested getting his levels tested. He was told his testosterone levels were a bit low and the doctor put him on a cycle of Clomid for 90 days. He was retested after the 90 days and his levels had doubled. Then, three months after the cycle ended, I had a positive pregnancy test! I am currently 22 weeks! 🙏 Just putting that out there in case it may help someone! I personally had not heard of men taking Clomid. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thank you both for sharing your journey. I stumbled upon your channel a couple months ago and your videos have been so helpful!

I’m 36 weeks pregnant after doing 3 rounds of IVF. We were initially diagnosed with male factor, then after 2 failed FETs did an ERA and found bacteria in my lining. Did 2 weeks of oral antibiotics and the next FET was a success! IVF was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, both physically and emotionally, but it sounds like you have the best team around you! My tip for the IM progesterone is to buy some lidocaine spray and use that and an ice pack for 3-5 minutes before the injection. Makes it WAY more tolerable! Good luck!!

I have stage 4 endometriosis, had Excision surgery in 2019, & a hellacious recovery. I did IVF to conceive mine & my wife’s daughter. I remember that first injection like it was yesterday. I was SO NERVOUS! My hands were trembling & I reread the instructions like 5 times I spent 30 min the 1st time.
IVF feels so medical, calculated, vulnerable…. I tried to bring some warmth into the process by taking time to stretch, meditate, spend time outside every day, go on walks, & do anything to relax as much as possible. I really think it helped a lot. I’m rooting for you guys! Do not feel guilty! ❤️

So massively impressed with your acknowledgement of your own privilege to access treatment and a shout-out that secondary infertility can be challenging for people who are experiencing primary infertility to deal with as a subject. Unexplained infertility is so taxing and I am so grateful you are both sharing this experience. I had 2 MMC within 4 months last year and I actually started watching your videos when I found out I was pregnant the first time. Since then I have been through every test under the sun, given countless blood samples, genetic testing, pathology of D&C tissues, thrombophilia panel, with the ultimate answer being “bad luck”. IVF isn’t even on the table for me because I’m getting pregnant easily, just not able to stay pregnant past the 6-7 week mark. I am currently giving my body a break for a little bit and giving my heart some time to heal but I just wanted to let you both know how much I appreciate you sharing this journey. It doesn’t matter if it is your first baby, second baby, or fifth baby! Infertility can feel so isolating at times and I really wish that more people shared their roads to pregnancy and motherhood that aren’t easy and straightforward, especially when they aren’t all sunshine and roses! It’s comforting to know other couples are out there and you aren’t alone 💖. Wishing you both so much luck on this IVF journey and I am excited to follow along!

I feel this 100%. The frustration, the sadness, the embarrassment. We started our IVF journey August 2020 and our beautiful Annie was born December 2021. I found myself saying out loud, “You’ve got this,” as if you could hear me. In hindsight, I am so proud of my IVF chapter and you will be too. So, again, you’ve got this!

Your feelings are both so valid and I am so greatful you are being raw and open! You have every right to have another babe, you work hard and if you can afford to do the things definitely do them!! Cheering you both on and hoping you can work through your feelings ❤️🥰

I just had my first baby via IVF and have been watching your videos since I got my positive test. Everything you're feeling is so normal. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Wishing you all the best and lots of embabies from your cycle! It gets easier with each step. I'm sure you know this, but celebrate each little success along the way and know there will always be set backs but they don't define you.

I just found your channel. I just wanna say I'm in my 3rd trimester with my 2nd IVF baby and it's been a journey starting back to 2017... i have been very open about it from the beginning, and while it has been far from easy it definitely helped my mental health to be open. Thank you for sharing your story and journey!

Sarah I can tell you have a wonderful husband and a great network of support, thank you for bringing transparency to this issue so that other women going through this can look to your experience so we don’t feel so lonely. TTC can be a very isolating issue. We had infertility with our first but thanks to our doctors in Yale we were able to figure out what my issue was. Don’t lose hope!

My husband and i tried for several years and was told by doctors that I would need ivf. We couldn't afford that, so we gave up and accepted that it would never happen. 7 years total later I'm 33 weeks pregnant naturally. I truly believe that when you stop stressing about it, it will happen. I get that's eye roll inducing but I believe it now

Sending you much love and so proud of your bravery! The pens are awesome- lol the other injections were a little more daunting for me. Sending you good follicle vibes!

Ha those sound like the wise words of another savvy IVF warrior. Mixing the menopur is very daunting--like did I swirl correctly? Are the air bubbles out? The pen is sooo slick and easy. Thank you for the well wishes--we reallyyy appreciate it.
