This is the only film I have ever seen where the very last scene is the best scene of the entire movie. I won't say how it ends in case anyone has not seen it yet but watch it and then tell me if you agree. And I will also say that for anyone who is interested in a career in teaching, this is one of three films you must see (the other two are Dead Poets Society and Mr. Holland's Opus). As a teacher myself, I have always believed that good teachers don't just impart knowledge, they inspire their students and instill in them a love of learning that will stay with them forever. Being a teacher is the finest thing you can be!
This has been my favorite film since I was about ten years old and it left a profound impression on me. Though I love the entire movie, I agree that the final scene was especially lovely and a perfect way to end the story. Also concur that it's a great one for inspiring educators (Dead Poets Society and Mr. Holland's Opus are also excellent); although I myself am not made out for teaching (don't have the patience) this movie instilled in me a great respect for teachers. I'd recommend The Man Without a Face any day, very underrated film.
Actually makes me feel pretty young. I figured this came out 50 years ago. I'm 37 and remember watching this when I was like 10 but figured it's been out at that time quite awhile.
I remember when they were filming this one a couple towns from where I live up here on the coast of Maine....it was a semi-big deal, the same way Hollywood(with Mel Gibson) used the village of Camden, like they did for "Peyton Place"(with Lana Turner)......Definitely bumped up business around the area for a few months...
@@richardcourchene7477who had a problem the guy without a face!? Are you saying you were so retarded that you didn't even know his face was super fucked up!??? Oh cool your a blind fkn moron, nice to know dumbass. Shake my fucking head!
This is the only Mel Gibson directed film I haven't seen. I'm still on the fence about. He's my favorite director and Apocalypto is my all time favorite movie. I think Braveheart, The Passion of the Christ and Hacksaw Ridge are brilliant too. Idk it just seems like this one is out of place compared to those. Its the only non R-rated film tol
what purpose did that trial was supossed to serve? you either have an actual confession of the crime from suspect or you don`t,you either have evidence or actual witnesses testimonies where they saw of the actual crime getting commited by the suspect or you don`t, it`s just that simple...judging anything else serves no logical purpose cuzz it`s just pure speculations and is just as stupid as it would been the suspect flipping around the situation and accusing the comitte of being bunch of molesters cuzz they had hugged minors in the past and there were times that every member of that thing was left alone at some point in their lifes with some random kid for whatever reason and that means that they are smex offenders by their own logic lmao...

@@RobC0422 You're welcome sir. Have a great day!
@@HighlandShadows I agree. It was lovely.
I watched this a long time ago, and it has always been one of my favs and also very underrated. Going to have to watch it again soon.
I was a little younger than Chuck Nordstadt when this was released. This movie turned 30 a few days ago.
Anyone besides me feel old yet? 😔
I am as old as Gabby Hoffman (the little sister) and I don't feel old. Experienced, maybe.

This was the first film to make me cry!

For a few months???! Shiiiit probably for ten years if not forever.
Recently saw this and it had such a potentially strong story. The core of the feature makes my feelings deep and thought provoking.
Did you not like the film?
Potentially strong? I think the story and the film are both very strong.
Mel looks like Ted Dansen here
💯 agree. That was my exact thought, the first time I viewed this trailer. If anything, they should have included Ted as his brother.
This movie is nostalgia and relatable to me.
We need more movies about masculine mentors
A great Film!!
The modern phantom of the opera XD

0:02 music please
What’s the song in the background?
James Horner, Soundtrack
@@angoren I have a feeling this was done quick by James as a place holder for the trailer as this music isn't featured in the movie or the ost.
Blockbuster movie 6 star 🙄🙄🙄
Would strongly recommend this, not the best out of Mel, but still pretty good movie.
Did anyone else's mom force them to see this in the theater?
#30yearsago💎🎞
The book is absolutely disgusting & immoral.
The revised script & movie with Gibsons direction turned it into a lovely story about friendship.
Not Hindi dubbed,I'm sad, very good impression and important movie 🙄🙄🙄
Why would you need Hindi dubbing when you can perfectly type english?
I mean, that face is not so bad... And that ruins the whole concept... 🙃
