Ill be there. Im no professional but if some people need to get some lights wired in the south OC area for the event. Hit me up and we can get it set up or weld some light tabs on your offroad bumpers.
Nice video bro. after seeing your build overview and watching how well you handled the terrain at a moderate speed it gives a better idea of how to go about building my own Tacoma. Perfect balance of built enough for fun but also still practical for daily driving. After testing it is there anything you will change about the truck?
There are a few things I would do different in the rear end just depending on how hard you want to send it. The bones would stay the same with the archive kit but there are different levels you could go. Right now I’m probably at the bare minimum amount of clean travel you can get with the kit. The next stage up would be to run the 14” shock set up. A step above that would be a bypass instead of a smooth body. A step above that would be any of those configurations with a spring under set up
@@desertdime cool thanks for the response bro. I don’t plan to send it too hard or even race since I’m from south Texas and the scene is non existent lol but I do want a fun daily. You should do a video on this topic I’m sure it will help a lot of people with guidance on building their prerunner/daily
@@UndeadTaco I was actually just planning a video out in my head yesterday going over all these different level options. It will come in the future but I want more time driving on this set up to have more experience with it
@@Diggdawgg I drive roads like that all the time, but never with a truck behind me that's pulling 20"+ of travel. I'll think about it. I've got s2 chase lights already and squadrons with some XL80s up front.
I think you should be fine with a raptor. If you’re not as comfortable you could hand in the back of the pack. I think we’re gonna try to position everyone into a line up putting the bigger guys in front so they’re not held up and the shower guys toward the back so they’re not pressured
@@desertdime I'll check it out, the Explorer is still down but the codawg and I can rear start in Super Dookie all the recovery gear and fire bottles are already in it.

You should collect used tires out there and recycle them as turning post
Utvs live in pre runner bros heads rent free😂

@@desertdime cool man I look forward to it 👍
For pins, use Google Maps instead of Apple's. That happened to me when I went dispursed camping with my cousin out at Desert Center a year ago
I’d totally be there with my 6” rough country lifted obs 1500 on 35s if I didn’t live 1500 miles away!
Seems like a cool spot! Looks kinda narrow but if people respect how other drive in front and behind them I think it would be a success
That’s a downside to Barstow. The trails are a bunch of single tracks. It’s not like JV or ocotillo where there’s a lot of wide lanes
@@desertdimehoneslty that’s not bad tho really teaches you control which I enjoy rather then people being nuts
Can mid travel be able to keep up on the trail
lol I go drifting at AVS! We all go off roading in that area too.
I'd love to go but i wouldnt want to hold anyone up. I've got a raptor with some light mods. By the sounds of it, this run is for the big boys.
I’m going in my stock ranger I’d just go lmao

@@desertdimewhat comms is everyone going to be on? I only have GMRS channels. I can hang pretty well.
@sterlingotoole4095 it’ll probably be a mix tbh. I’m on the rugged pre sets but I know people will probably bring boefang or however you spell it
So when is this?

Have you ever drove off a 2-3 ft ledge? Your tucks is eating pretty much everything. There needs to be a mid travel truck race class
Their basically is lmao class 7 is essentially small truck mid travel an class 8 has one as well
If you can’t drive your prerunner there you ain’t bout it son… jk thanks for letting me know where I can drop the trailer.
Idk how I feel about about this 😅
@@Longtraveldreams why do you say that?
@@desertdime tempted to go… just wonder how safe it would be with a lot of people going.
@@Longtraveldreams there’s always a risk when it comes to off-roading. Come at your own risk 🤝🏼
I wanna go so bad but my rangers a lil clapped rn unfortunately 😢this is 10 minutes from me too sad
Fuck it we’re going bois after a credit card payment 😂
