    In my opinion, their remix for "Sash - Encore Une Fois" sounds still amazing. Each time when I listen to this track (extended version especially), I feel the "future" in my mind like the first word of their band name...
    I admit I still listen to this track with the same passion since I heard it the first time in 1997. It is also one of my favorite tracks which made me love electronic music.
    Thanks a lot for the interview.

    These guys for me are legend of the club music 90'.
    Why Don't You Dance With Me, Keep The Fire Burnin and remix for Sash! Encore Une Fois are one of the best club tracks in 1996-1997.
    And it's rare, but the Encore Une Fois remix is even more famous than the original version.
    It's good to know what synthesizers they used for the production of Why Don't You Dance With Me and probably for other songs on this album Why.
    It's just a pity you didn't ask which of these synthesizers they used to create this famous Pizzicato sound.
    In early 2000 they came back with another great tracks like Smile, Mind In Motion and Ocean of Eternity where they invited singer Captain Jack to collaborate.
    Anyway I make and uploaded a track which is my a little tribute for club music of the mid and late 90s and I used this famous Pizzicato sound in it, so maybe someone will like it if like tracks like Why Don't You Dance With Me or Bellissima.

    • @muzikxpress
      @muzikxpress  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In the 2nd interview (hopefully online in a few weeks!) we also talk about that Sash! remix BTW ;-)

    • @deepworx
      @deepworx 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We used a Sample for the pizzicato ;)

    • @hinsen
      @hinsen 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate. Good to know. I found out that a Roland JD-990 Super JD has a preset called Pizza Hut and it was probably used in Faithless Insomnia.
      Is it possible to know where your sample came from?
      By the way, it's a pity you didn't say something about the video. I think you really had nice music videos for your songs in the 90's.
      They did not look like they were made on a budget but record label had to spend a lot of money and hire a really professional film crew.
      Really like music videos for Why don´t you dance with me, Keep the fire burnin´ and How Much Can You Take. They look really professional. Greetings.

      @muzikxpress  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Jan! First of all, I am not really looking for suggestions right now since I still have a looooong list with people I would love to interview. However, since COVID things didn't became easier; hardly any gigs and lots of interviews I had planned got cancelled.... Lost Witness has been on my list for a long time already and Simon from Lost Witness had a gig here in The Netherlands (where I am based) scheduled for 2020. That one got postponed to 2021 and now it hopefully will happen in 2022.... Fingers crossed! The first 2 tracks of Lost Witness that are on my wish list for an interview are "Red Sun Rising" and "Happiness Happening" though. "7 Colours" hopefully another time, but lets wait and see first what will happen next year. FYI, this is "just" a hobby for me, advertising revenue on TH-cam isn't much when you don't have millions of views, so that means I don't really have a travel budget for these interviews. I also did an interview about “Temple Of Dreams” with them which will be online later. There we talk a bit about their remix for “Encore Une Fois” as well, so stay tuned! But… I never do interviews that are just about remixes people did for other artists. I only focus on originals for my interviews, so an original production is always the main subject of the vlog / interview. Artists obviously rather talk about their own projects instead of a remix they did for another artists / act. So that’s the reason. Thanks for your understanding!

      No clue, he wasn’t involved in the making of “Why Don’t You Dance With Me”, so I don’t know.

      Sorry I really don't know. He wasn't involved in the making of "Why Don't You Dance With Me"; he's not listed in the credits of that track (the track this vlog / interview is about) and the vocal in this track is obviously a woman, so also not him ;-) In the interview they explain the vocal comes from a sample CD.

      He did the vocals for How much can you take? (can also be seen in the video of that track)

      @@MaximumEfficiency I’m more interested in the story behind the actual song. Sometimes I do ask about videos as well, but from my experience videos are mostly done by the record company etc. Artists don’t always get involved with those.

    Quick tip for your future interviews:: put your camera higher, about the subject's eye level or a bit higher. You get much nicer angle and composition.

      Thank you! Always love constructive feedback like this :) Will do! FYI, the studio was pretty small and I had a very tiny little spot for my camera and myself haha ;-) And it wasn't easy to get them all 3 on camera, but... I completely get your point! Thanks a lot!
