- Around 5 AM on June 18th, a Taiwanese fisherman from Penghu spotted and recorded a large China’s People’s Liberation Army submarine surfacing near the Taiwan Strait median line. The submarine was later accompanied by PLA surface ships as it left.
According to the fisherman's records, the submarine surfaced at coordinates 24°00'N, 118°22'E, which is west of the median line of the Taiwan Strait, near the Chinese coast, in waters approximately 45 meters deep.
Once the pictures were uploaded online, military enthusiasts and experts analyzed the visible parts of the submarine and suggested it was likely a Type 094 nuclear-powered submarine from the PLA.
The appearance of a Chinese nuclear submarine in international waters of the Taiwan Strait has sparked significant discussion and speculation.

So secretive it was spotted by a fisherman. 🤣

I have a theory actually the fisherman net caught the Chinese submarine and need to surface becuz it takes lot damage from fisherman net
Being flooded and shown in the middle of their capital after a massive flood.
"imagine having your "most stealthy and exp" craft spotted and geolocated by a fisherman." Imagine you are stupid enough to write this comment. LOL
if it intentionally surfaced to intimidate, then it shouldn't have gotten a tug boat to tow it.
Only way this would be impressive is if the tugboat was also a submarine 😂
Exactly 💯
The tugboat was having a rest from shadowing the aircraft carriers.
A sub would just use a ping if it wanted to intimidate another navy that it believed didnt know it was there.
@@andrewt.5567 In water of only 45 metres depth, this submarine could probably be seen as well as heard. The close proximity of the bottom would actually as a sound reflector, wouldn't it ? In the event of a conflict, a ping in that environment would be an invitation for a swift response, most probably from more than one monitoring vessels or aircraft. On a positive note for the crew, they get to see their families again, unlike a fair number of their fellow submariners recently.
The Chinese being victims of their own crappy products is hilarious.
Can you imagine being in their military. If this happens while we are at peace, what will happen when we are at war?

Chinas tofu dreg too..😮
What China doesn’t know is that there was also an American submarine that participated in the exercises off the Philippine peninsula and stayed around. They are probably shadowing the Chinese submarine or laying off the edge of China’s exclusion zone.

Was the Thresher submarine ALSO made in china ???!!!
No wait, that waz an AMERICAN sub that SUCKED, ...among many...

I'm going to paraphrase Dr. Manhattan.
(China's most advanced attack submarine is no more of a concern for the US Navy than China's most advanced gumball machine).
They just surfaced because they wanted to buy some fresh fish from the fishermen.
Nothing worse than being aboard a broken submarine. Sends shivers up my spine just thinking about it.
The Russians lost 118 sailors in their Kurdsk disaster, and Russia tried to hide that they blew themselves up but they also blamed the west.
It surfaced because the crew panicked when they realized they are near Taiwan 😂😂😂
In about a few hours, the Chinese government is gonna make a dumb excuse about their tofu dreg submarine😂
The question is are they really Nuclear Power?
No, that technology isn't available to the Chinese Navy yet.
good point apparently they only have a crew of about 60 or so doesn't quite add up to experienced Westen navies
It's a Nuclear Missile Submarine, not a Nuclear Powered Submarine, this schmuck doesn't know the difference. The Chinese Navy has ZERO Blue Water Ships, only Green Water Boats and Brown Water Support Boats. They can't get a Diesel Powered Carrier right yet, howinthefuck are they gonna get a Nuclear Powered anything right.?
If they have Nuclear Subs, why didn’t they put Nuclear power engines on the Chinese Aircraft Carrier? I don’t think it is.
@@topshonuffmassive differences between a Nuclear submarine reactor, and the reactors needed to power an aircraft carrier tbh
45 meters is SCUBA diveable. That's too shallow for a sub.
30m and less, is considered SCUBA safe for immediate emergency ascent whilst exhaling with a minimixed risk of suffering light bends within Dive Bottom Time limits (PADI).
Deeper than 30m is requiring spare tanks, and certainly a or multiple rest stop(s) part way up the during the ascent to the surface to allow nitrogen to safely dissolve from the divers blood & circulatiory system.
You don't use a strategic submarine to spy on enemy exercises...

I have golf clubs I found for free 20 years ago, made in china....not even a dent and has no lead.
you guys just say things thinking you sound smart instead of the truth...not smart but racist
It doesn't make a lot of sense to put a ballistic missile submarine in such a restricted waterway. But then again, if it sinks it doesn't have to go down that far
It is a Russian tactic. Because they can't match western subs, put them in a location that is defensible. It would be difficult to nuke such a sub, and impossible to get at them with our subs.
Water was only 45 m deep? I bet it could be seen by an aircraft flying overhead.
This was a worry for American subs in WW2. They were all over there, hunting Japanese Marus.
I bet it got into trouble in the deep water east of Taiwan and was running for port but didn't make it.
The toilets may have been blocked for days?
What do you expect Made In China😂😂😂.
That's embarrassing
first fisherman to catch a sub, nice
could actually be the second....
the first one was reported to have caught a sub using a fishing net....
China is certainly known for quantity but definitely not quality.
this has been said for decades and yet we still used their stuff, even after we found it to be half fake. And India isn't much different and they are about to take Chinas place

It's the ones that operate in the air that are alarming.

newsflash: submarine from Temu intimidates Taiwan by being escorted via tugboat.
They will use force to unify Taiwan, using tugboats to drag whole island closer to mainland, see how powerful their tugboats dragging a nuclear sub? 🤣
Well if they have a malfunction in Taiwan seas at least we know that sub won't make it anywhere near Hawaii much less San Diego or San Francisco California.
😂😂😂
What nuclear sub has acrew of 55? It will be a diesel electric they class as nuc
Diesel boat, like those various Kilo class boats scattered through the vid.
they cant even build their carriers properly. of course things will go bad, its chinese tech
Undetected? i think not, they sound more like an underwater metal industry.
Amazes me that more submarine fleets don't ha e safety redundancies like a snorkel built into their boats for O2 emergencies. Yes, you still have to be able to get close to the surface, but it's better to have a chance at survival over needless death.
Did they ask for directions?
tofu-dreg submarine
It's made iof tufo dreg
It's not the first time to happen on Chinese submarine.
Or a U.S submarine. And the U.S F16 jets.
Is this a temu sub or tufo sub?
Tofu-dreg subs are dangerous to the crews that inhabit them!
So if they had to dive because of a depth charge they'd bounce on the bottom - Clever
Nobody uses depth charges any more anyway. The last iteration was the Soviet RBU -- pretty much the Hedgehog.
Homing torpedoes work better.
One Taiwanese fisherman lamented that the Taiwan Strait fish were stealthier than CCP subs.
LOL
Let me guess.....It's made of TOFU! 🤣😂😅
That's an upgrade! At least, it's not tofu dreg.

“Captain Colonel “?
Is that more senior than a “Sergeant Admiral Corporal Private ?
Surely that can’t be a real rank ?
Allow me to explain : in any branch of any military, someone has both a rank and a commission. In this case, "captain" may be the commission, and it was given to a colonel. That's like being senior driver : senior is what you are, driver is what you do.

It is also a translation. Remember that the PLAN is people's liberation ARMY Navy.
@@icecold9511 indeed. Everything is Army in China. Not sure the US Air Force would enjoy it very much if they were called the US Army's Air Force 😁

Originally they were called that, up until after ww2. They got split because army leadership was centered around...army. different priorities.
same reason the space force is now separated from airforce. Airforce is interested in using jets, not satellites.
Foreign style flag rank titles. See Germany, whose system is logical from the git-go and also works in the German language: they sound faintly absurd, but a colonel general is higher up than a major general, _und so weiter._
That sub will get the red mist hosed out of it 4 or 5 times before they give-up and stop recovering it.
Even their military asset is substandard nothing to buy this kind of naval asset may destroy early
Shang Class nuclear attack submarine, equipped with torpedoes. And known for it's low noise. If you discount the death gasps of its crew. Oh, and in China, the weather report is a state secret, so the fact that submarine accidents are a state secret is kind of a given.
Made in china!!! It's more than a meme.
Lack of oxygen
Than they wouldn't have needed a tug boat...no, China is re-enacting the early 60s period of US-Soviet insanity in terms of submarine troubles 😬.. tofu dreg but with nuclear power plants...wonder, when we see a K19 incident...🤢
Rise up People of China
😂😂😂 *"ToFu"* subs 🤣🤣🤣
No surprise. 🤷🏼♀️
I believe they have six garbage submarines.
The one-sentence bots are out in force today.
If the problem really was a failed oxygen generator, they could've raised the snorkel and lined up the low-pressure blower (normally used for blowing main ballast tanks) to ventilate the boat. They would still have to return to port but, at least things would appear to be under control.
If it was meant to be intimidation it'll be silly to wait for helpers to accompany it back to port
probably broke after surfacing. defeating any point it had in intimidation but I doubt it was intimidation.
It's actually a coal powered submarine, and they ran out of coal before reaching port. Coal-fired submarines are a proprietary technology of the ccp
😂😂😂
Speaking of china's gadgets of war efficiency, nyahahaha...
Garbage
i think the small windows on the top of the submarines will compromised the integrity of it.. and the high pressure under water will destroyed it..
That section floods during a dive. Russia has the same feature. Surface navigation
😂😂😂😂😂😂 the Chinese Wumao will blame this on the CIA, fbi, something something usa 😂
CIA, smiling broadly: Yeah, we got this.
Ask our linguists how to say 'wanker' in Mandarin.
It’s very doubtful that any Chinese submarine would be transiting undetected in waters only 45 meter deep. The Taiwanese strait has to be swarming with listening devices and other detection equipment. Moreover, I believe that the Chinese subs are also quite a bit behind US and Japanese subs regardless of how new some of China’s subs are. I think it likely that much of their copied equipment, training and maintenance would also be considered substandard by Japanese and American standards.
Chinese military equipment is falling apart before battle. If your enemy is like that you can sleep soundly at night
Tofu Sub 🍚
Tofu sub.
😂😂😂😂
They probably held the copy of the Western Sub design upside down 😂
PLA submarine? Was it 3D printed harharhar :D
Actually Chinese submarines have attack class submarines following them all the time. 24 hours a day in fact.
The truth they really were going to attach tawain but America stop them in their tracks. The reason it surfaced because America had them the only way to save it to surfaces
They only have so much air in them before they have to surface......unless somebody farts again.
I strongly suspect the US, Taiwan and Japan’s anti-submarine plans for the Taiwan Strait with rely heavily upon sub-surface drones, mines and torpedoes. They could also easily be used against surface targets. I cannot see any scenario where an invasion fleet from China would not suffer massive damage.

This channel is hilarious... it's daily updates of failure in China. GET OUT OF DISPUTED WATERS.
To my knowledge, the Virginia class submarine from the US, is NOT a 'boomer,' sub. They do not carry nuclear warheads, or ICBMs. The VA class subs are hunters that hunt/ killers. that hunt other subs.
In addition, they are information gatherers, with electronic listening equipment, that can listen to cell phone, radio, and other electronic mediums.
teh VA class sub, might be able to carry tomahawk style cruise missiles, torpedos, and may be fitted with vertical launched missile tubes. (VLS). But those are designed for anti-ship missiles, cruise missiles, like the tomahawk.
These are what Australia wants to purchase from the US.
They are nuclear powered, not nuclear armed... Nuclear arms are an unfounded concern by China.
So out of 55 people on board the CCP submarine 22 were officers 7 were officer "cadets" 9 were non commissioned officers and only 17 sailors doing work... no wonder they sunk with all hands. Meanwhile no one finds this abnormal in the PLAN huh? Keeping in mind those 17 sailors can't all work 247.
I wonder if it was MADE IN CHINA ???
might be the PLANavy submarine could stay underwater for 6 to 8 hours before it will resurface.. if they will go beyond 8 hours, it will cause the submarine to drowned itself and will compromised its crew..
*_It's the BYD-Navy!_*
The CCP's concept of naval operations is little more advanced that what teenage strategy-game players think is advanced military operations. Pair that with the PLA's juvenile methods, an almost nonexistent air force and a corruption-neutered rocket-force, and you get inexperienced armed forces that think they are a match for the world's most experienced, most technically adept and best prepared armed forces
